Thanks Calin. I will follow your instructions and hopefully it will solve the issue. It is great in terms of ‘Page Speed’ when the Mobile Theme Plugin is active, because the speed will jump from 33% to 69% on mobile.
Hello!
I would like to make suggestions for future updates … Everything I am going to write are features that the Jannah news theme has by default.
1. Integrated push notifications (like foxpush, onesignal ..)
2. To be able to change the labels of the headers of the home to have absolute control over the seo of our webs without having to touch code. (h2, h3 …)
3. Reading progress bar (like elmundo.es marca.com …)
4. “Read more” button in mobile version. Accelerate the load a lot since it only loads the beginning of the post and adds the button.
5. Select a part of the text of the post and that can be shared on twitter.
That’s all .. This would make the theme even more good. More complete and integrated.
Thank you and I hope you will listen to my suggestions … and, of course, do not take years to implement them.
Hi,
As I said above, if you are using the mobile theme plugin, the Modified Date will not working on mobile version, if you want to sue that option you need to deactivate the mobile theme plugin.
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/gC3FFXCMf
Thank you!
It is fine it looks like it is working.
One suggestion for the future. Would be great to have the ability to select by page if to show the mobile editor or not. At the moment it is sitewide which is a bit restrictive as there are some functional pages that might need the desktop mode but you don’t want to slow the site down by switching off the mobile editor in all pages…
Cheers
Simone
AMP can be tested on desktop and mobile as well, by adding /?amp at the end of the URL
– http://prntscr.com/o1odst
That is how it works currently. You can test the AMP validity with their tester
– https://search.google.com/test/amp
Automatic AMP versions will be served by Google only, through the search results page. Other visitors will see the mobile theme version, or the responsive version depending on the setting you choose in the theme panel.
Hi,
If you will add such a code or shortcode in the mobile editor, the results can be displayed only in the mobile mode. You can provide some screens with the results.
Thank you!
Hi.
So I have some confusion and I’m hoping that by raising a question here, it can be resolved.
Question 1 –
So we have a test environment where we have uploaded this theme and whenever we want to do some changes to our website, we first test them out on this test environment, and only when we are satisfied, we do these changes to the main website (where also the same Newspaper theme is uploaded).
Now, neither of them are activated, I mean we haven’t activated our theme. Neither on the main website nor on the test website.
Now we want to first update our theme version on our main site. We have done this on the test environment but not on the main website.
The procedure for this which we follow is –
Deactivate the theme > Delete the theme > Upload the new one.
Can you guys tell me if I’m doing something wrong here? And if that’s the case, what’s the right procedure?
Also, when I repeat the above-mentioned steps to update the theme on my live site, can this procedure lose result in loss of some settings or data when I upload the new version of the theme?
Question 2-
Infinity scroll.
It is said that for using Infinity scroll, we have to activate the Cloud Library plugin, then select a template from that plugin for a blog page and only then we can use Infinity Scroll.
Now, Cloud Library plugin is a plugin which works when your theme is activated, if I’m correct.
Now, what if we want to test it in the testing environment first? Because if I activate the theme in the test environment, my live website won’t be using the activated theme then!
What should we do in this case? Should we test this directly on the live website?
Also, tell me about the mobile responsiveness for infinity scroll because I have read at some places that it doesn’t work properly on mobile.
Thanks and Regards
Dear, right now my amp looks awkward. Please take a look at these Pics:

I want to make the header and footer the same size as it looks in normal desktop. At this time, the header is positioned most left side and too small, while the size of footer is also very small.
1) Please make the both logo the same size
2) Please position the header logo in the center as it looks very disturbing on far left side.
Would be please provide me the code so that the both logos looks same like in desktop or mobile devices.
If you still want any clarification, then please do let me know.
Best Regards,
Kindly also remember to look at the issue of the image logo as it does not show in the mobile.
Yes, it showed up by itself after a few hours.
Ok, I see will do that for the mobile.
An advise on this question: any suggestions on how to add them to the icons? as I see there are several icon providers?
Thanks,
Hi,
You can try the mobile theme plugin, please check this documentation for Mobile Theme: Automatic Optimization for Mobile with Newspaper Theme -> https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-automatic-optimization-for-mobile-newspaper-theme/
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi there,
i’m setting my new website with Newspaper theme.
I found a problem in mobile view of the header, that seem to be hidden from smartphone’s view.
There is someone so kind to help me? What setting i need to fix?
Thank you in advance for your kindly support
Andrea
I think it was a caching problem. The AMP settings link is finally showing on admin panel.
Problem now is: AMP is not working on mobile. If I put ?amp at the end of the URL, it is working, even on desktop. But it is not automatic on mobile.
Mobile theme setting is exactly like this: http://prntscr.com/o0t2d2
And AMP settings are ok, otherwise inserting ?amp at the end of the URL would not be working.
Do you know what can be wrong?
Hello !
The designs do not match because you are using the mobile theme. The Mobile theme was specially designed for optimization on mobile devices. Unfortunately on mobile theme you cannot do much changes of design. If you want to have the same design as on desktop mode you can achieve that by simply disabling the mobile theme. Cloud templates are included. They do no work while having mobile theme.
We are sorry for the inconvenience !
Please try this custom CSS and paste it here if you are using the Mobile Theme:https://www.screencast.com/t/T0N7cNzJHN ; If you are not using the mobile theme paste it here: https://www.screencast.com/t/0vBfC9NJgBv And as you can see here the result: https://www.screencast.com/t/RYnwC7Babk7
Here is the code:
.wpb_wrapper .td_flex_block_1{
box-shadow: none!important;
}
Thank you !
Hello Vlad
Please read what I have written again. I am not talking about page speed in general. I am saying that with AMP+mobile theme the speed of the AMP page is very high, much higher than what is to be expected in an AMP pages.
I am letting you know that with the AMP plugin and mobile theme the speed of the AMP page is very slow. Are you aware of this issue? If yes than what do you suggest other than the normal steps for page speed (that apply for non AMP pages)
Also in case you are aware that the AMP + Mobile theme does increase page load, do you suggest that we customize AMP ourselves and not use the mobile theme?
Please advice
Regards

Hi,
Please set this custom css in Theme Panel>Custom code> Advance css> Phone
.td-mobile-content .td-sub-menu-open > ul {
max-height: 10000px;
}
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/lYlCHUZl
Please make sure that you clear all cache after you set the code.
Thank you!
1. Looks fine to me at the moment – http://prntscr.com/o1b8mv both the icons and the titles are displayed. I am checking wit Chrome.
2. If you want to display them on mobile, you must add them in the mobile version of the header as well – http://prntscr.com/o1bd5j
The mobile version of the header won’t display the same elements as on desktop, only what you enter in it.
Hi Catilin,
we tried again it might have been a problem of saving as it is now showing in the mobile version too.
Will try for the other pages and fingers crossed we will be able to keep the mobile version up as it is good!
Cheers
Simone
Hi,
If you want to change the top grid functionality from the Mobile Theme, please check the following topic from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-featured-posts/
Hope this helps!
Thank you!
Hi,
Unfortunately, this plugin was not tested with our theme and also, we cannot say for sure if it will work or not as expected with the theme, sorry! We do not have made any tests with it. Basically, any shortcode you will add in the mobile editor should work as expected. As an example, I have added the contact form shortcode in that section and works as expected, as you can see here -> https://prnt.sc/o196mp http://prntscr.com/o196r2
Hope this helps!
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
Here is look like you have an ad over menu -> https://snag.gy/tEIVvd.jpg
Import/create a cloud header template, then while editing it activate mobile mode and select the needed menu – http://prntscr.com/ns7t5k – http://prntscr.com/ns7taq
Thank you!
Hi Guys
please i have a problem with my phone theme,
on phone my websites shows only latest articles and pages are not working when i click on them
http://www.upzerg.com
hi i needs to create a page like mobile app for mobile home .. because im loading website for app so i need customized page for mobile pls help us to do
Hi, @Calin
Every post on the website – https://www.igadgetsworld.com & https://www.igadgetsworld.com/news doesn’t show the modified date on the mobile version.
As an example, you can check this link – https://www.igadgetsworld.com/news/asus-rog-phone-2-120hz-launch/2153/ this is the page I used to take the screenshots.
Hello Guys
We are pretty excited about the fact that the mobile theme is fully compatible with the AMP plugin. We have AMP installed and wanted to add some styling and mainly a menu on it as the pages have a high bounce rate.
We tested this on a test installation. Integrated the theme with AMP using the option AMP only (As we have some category pages made on tag div composer that we have not set up for AMP)
The AMP pages now look really good with menu and everything but when we tested the page speed we found that it had reduced significantly
See screenshot of GT metrix : http://prntscr.com/o16qts
Is this normal? If there is such a big difference in the page speed then I guess it does not make sense to use AMP with the mobile theme or are we missing something?
We really need to put at least a menu in the AMP, I guess we should edit the stylesheet and test.

Ashutosh
