Спасибо большое за ответы, очень признателен, но у меня все еще есть вопросы:
That helped a little, but now i see another problems appear:
4. My articles are now look like i wanted in fashion theme, but the problem is I have 20 articles on the first page (below the featured) but they repeat each other, so I have 10 latest articles twice on the on the home page.
I would prefer to have 10 latest articles (or 15), but not to repeat each other two times.
Screenshot: http://imgur.com/iFqUpyP
5. I have troubles with right rail – I want to have only my widgets there that were setup before (and worked with every theme I had before), but the trouble is – first at very top of right rail i see widgets like: – social counter (and instead of widget I only see code ), – don’t miss (with very old articles for some reason) and this three widgets stick until I scroll through the first 10 articles (please refer to my previous question as this might be the issue I am facing) and then when I see repeated articles I see my widgets that I want to have in my right rail (also sticked).
I would like to have only my widgets on the right rail (that display ads only), and not to have any other widgets there, also I want them not to be sticky.
5.1 Widgets appear more or less correctly on the post page, but still there’s a problem, the widget at the very top of right rail is the widget that shows video, but instead of appearing where it has to be it appears at the bottom left corner.
6. Thanks for telling me how to move the title, but now I have another issue – the title is too low and there’s a gap between pic and title which make’s it look ugly. How can just how many pixels it’s below the picture? Screenshot – http://imgur.com/GEA9vfb
7.It also looks like that it doesnt work for a Chrome – http://imgur.com/JlRMCCz
8. How do I take comments # off completely?
9. Where do I have insert the code so it appears at the very top above menu? (i have to put 728×90 banner) http://imgur.com/PZ9hcYW . Also where do I insert code so the second same size banner appears right below featured articles block? http://imgur.com/31qiylS
10. How do I take off trending now line?

Hello benj0612,
Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to move the description section from category page from the top to the bottom section of the page, sorry! If you want to do that, please notice that is not a simple task and this require some additional customizations through code that involve custom work. As a hint, you have to alter the code from the core file td_category_template.php and category.php, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/Mi9KZBj4E -> http://screencast.com/t/5NtQtwoZzENs Please notice that above I have pointed you the main files where you should make the changes but please notice that you need some additional customizations in order to achieve best results.
If you want to display more levels in our theme and you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to implement this for you in our theme because we cannot provide customization services at the moment, sorry! Usually, we recommend the developers from studio.envato.com.
Thank you for your understanding!
Is it possible to move the breadcrumbs to the bottom of a post?
I’m using the child theme and template 7.
I moved the php code (<?php echo td_page_generator::get_single_breadcrumbs($td_mod_single->title); ?>) in loop-single-7.php but no joy.
Hi guys,
just finished my website set-up using newspaper’s sport demo , it looks great, thank you!
But still one problem to solve.
In the main menu bar, there is a gap between the menu and the bar bottom, as you can see in the homepage. The main menu seems to no be centered in the menu bar.
Could you help me to solve please?
Plus how can I activate mega-menu in the sub-menu?
Thanks a lot in advance!
Nassim.
Hello,
1) You can use this css to remove the bottom padding:
.td_block_big_grid_8{
padding-bottom:0!important;
}
But this will cause the block 1 below the big grid to stick to it so you need to assign an extra class to the row containing block 1 and use css with the class you assign like so:
http://screencast.com/t/iSvCwa5Dj6dX
.customrow1{
padding-top:20px!important;
}
2)You can assign a background color to the rest of the page by editin every row in visual composer lie you did the one with the big grid and assign that color to it.
3)Unfortunately I cannot see the ad at the moment. Please add it back in so I can inspect it and provide the proper code.
Thank you!
Thanks for the css, it worked perfectly!
I have a new issue with the background though;
1. I want to remove the gap in the bottum of the “featured posts”. http://www.screencast.com/t/vmjsnwbnc.
2. I want to extend the second color throughout the rest of the website. http://www.screencast.com/t/95Wi3e6bX
All this without effecting the top color (featured posts background) and the white space around the ad.
3. Not sure about this one. If you look under the “featured posts” background, there’s no space between the ad (it’s just a jpeg for now) and the background color. How can I make my ad’s top and bottom padding look like this?;
http://www.screencast.com/t/kRIDp0Fs0dPm
Thank you!
I want to change the theme colour from blue to yellow (#ffcd33) in the following sections:
1. video playlist tab (youtube)
2. shooting arrow (when you scroll down to the bottom of the page, it will appear and when you click it, it will scroll up the page)
3. menu in the header (when you move the mouse cursor, it will the change the colour to blue)
Thank you very much.
Salut!
1)The footer widgets are found here: http://screencast.com/t/E8V4SkYU9A6 If youhave not modified the theme files, then you can remove your widgets from there.
2)you can remove the space using this css code:
.td_block_trending_now.td_block_wrap{
padding-bottom:0!important;
}
.test{
margin-bottom: 0!important;
}
.td-main-page-wrap{
padding-top:20px!important
}
(as a side-note: you have a container in there with a class called ‘test’ that also created white space)
3)To display ads between posts on a specific category page are required lots of customizations and also many tests in order to achieve the desired result. Basically you need to edit the loop for that specific category page such that to display a specific ad-spot after a given number of posts.
All this customizations falls beyond the support can offer you so if you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a freelancer to do this for you as we can’t offer custom services at the moment.
4)If you want to remove the ad on post style 1, you can do it from here: http://screencast.com/t/RRXPmQTF
For the top ad, it will be a bit trickier as the top ad displays on all post templates so you need to ad a few conditions to the code where the ad is being created. Please use this code: http://pastebin.com/b5ZWGEhf
and replace this part here: http://screencast.com/t/uiYhFyE0rF
This will disable the article top ad for post style 1 and now you can ad a custom ad in the top of the file with a do_shortcode function:
And add it in the file like so: http://screencast.com/t/sKAM9mtVmj
Now if you do not have an article top ad, the text will fill the white space besides the featured image.
Thanks.
Hi Catalin,
Thank you for your reply. This code does work but the class “td-module-meta-info” stays at the bottom. Only the stars are moved upwards. This leaves the background at the bottom. If a new background is added, the old background will still exist.
Can I enter the text in a php file? I am unable to locate this php file. Can you help me with that?
Ronald
Hi,
You can remove the padding from the code I provided. Simply delete the part of the code to the padding that needs to remain.
Try removing either ones of these entries to see which one you want removed:
.td_module_10 .td-excerpt{
margin-top:0!important;
}
.td_module_10 .entry-title{
margin-bottom:0!important
}
If you want to apply the date only to the news category you can add an extra condition to the same file you modified earlier and replace the echo $this->get_date code with this one:
<?php if (!in_category('News')){
echo $this->get_date();
}?>
Thanks.
Hi,
The post date can be activated from the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/VkTckPfDR9h2
Now replace the code with this one:
.td_block_11 .td-module-thumb{
display:none!important;
}
.td_block_11 .td_module_10 .item-details {
margin-left: 0!important;
min-height: 0!important;
}
.td_block_11 .td_module_10{
padding-bottom:0px!important
}
.td_block_11 .td_module_10 .entry-title{
padding-left:0!important;
min-height: 20px!important;
}
.td_block_11 .td_module_10 .td-module-meta-info{
display:none!important;
}
.td_module_10 .td-excerpt{
margin-top:0!important;
}
.td_module_10 .entry-title{
margin-bottom:0!important
}
And one final modification. This will have to be done in the theme files. Open the module 10 file and move the get_date code in the excerpt container like so: http://screencast.com/t/Yq26zJE0Kikx
This is the result: http://screencast.com/t/iSbFifueys6
Thanks.
Likely due to ad on right side being part of the sticky area that affixes near to top. Move the adsense ad to bottom of sidebar, below the fold for sticky content. Thats hiw we have ut on some of our sites with no issue. Or turn off the sticky sidebar entirely.
I put the code in the “Top Article” and “Bottom Article” section of ADS in theme panel, and close the desktop view but in desktop it shows me and empty space…
Can anyone out there help me with that…
You can see the problem from : http://sonsoz.com.tr/gazetecilere-destek-ha/
I want to remove the white spaces in Desktop and view the adds on mobile…
The code I put in:
<script>
window.fbAsyncInit = function() {
FB.Event.subscribe(
'ad.loaded',
function(placementId) {
console.log('Audience Network ad loaded');
}
);
FB.Event.subscribe(
'ad.error',
function(errorCode, errorMessage, placementId) {
console.log('Audience Network error (' + errorCode + ') ' + errorMessage);
}
);
};
(function(d, s, id) {
var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
if (d.getElementById(id)) return;
js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;
js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk/xfbml.ad.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.5&appId=----------------";
fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);
}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));
</script>
<fb:ad placementid="--------------------------" format="300x250" testmode="false"></fb:ad>
The Sections with ————- are the numbers for my appid and addid so no need for them … 🙂
Hi,
As you can see, the topic is form almost 2 years back. The code will not work anymore as the theme has been updated many times since then. You can target your blocks using the browser inspector and use the specific css classes like so: http://screencast.com/t/IklwH06h21Xq
In this case, if you want to remove the padding, you would use the code like so:
.td_block_7.td_block_wrap{
padding-bottom: 0!important;
}
I also added the block 7 class so the code will be more specific as multiple blocks use the .td_block_wrap class and if I were to only leave this class in the code, ALL the blocks will have the padding removed.
Hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello, when I’m editing the site from my mobile; on the bottom it asking the option to view in mobile or desktop. The desktop top version works and the mobile doesn’t (which I read an earlier post saying they were the same). How do I remove the option that ask me to view desktop or mobile version?
Thanks
Hi
You can move theme’s css and google fonts in footer by adding this code in td-speed-booster.php file: http://screencast.com/t/3wlizASZysUv
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue('td-theme');
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue('google_font_open_sans');
$this->move_style_to_footer_queue('google-fonts-style');
We didn’t moved theme’s css at page bottom automatically because in this case there appear a delay with the style on page load. If you move the main css in footer the page’s style will be applied only after the html it’s loaded.
Thanks!
For my suggestion – some themes have an [edit] button that appears at bottom of the post or below authorbox when logged int. I personally find that annoying, and it’s already in the black bar at top in WP, as Andrei pointed out ….
however, you *can* add that from the WordPress default function by simply putting it into the single post template(s) you are actually using, wither the main template or the loop template, and it should work. As with all these things, TRY IT, and if it doesn’t work for you REMOVE IT. “Trial and error” is how to learn to do most of this stuff. 🙂
Hi,
did you read my full question. Nothing moves to the bottom with the booster plugin. No conflicts. i decided to use the code i pasted in the 1. Q. If you set up a page with the short code and paste the function in to your function.php you can reproduce this issue in 2 minutes and tell me if you see anything on your site. This takes the same amount of time as answer my question with some other question i already mentioned in my 1. question.
thx

Hello,
The speces you mention are margins and padding that can be removed with css. As this modification is a substantial one and specific for every case, we cannot do it for you as you have tyo decide what goes where so I will show you hw to do it with an example and then you can apply the method for all the other blocks.
Important note: the vertical spacing cannot be removed. That is the theme width. Our theme was created using a fixed with and if this is altered, the elements will not position propoerly anymore.
All the horizontal ones can be remove though.
You will have to know a bit of css for this. You can use the browser inspector to see the margins and padding:
http://screencast.com/t/oJWhHavwl9R
Then you can create your css code to overwrite the one form the theme.
This code will remove the topo margin and bottom padding for all blocks:
.block-title{
margin-bottom:5px!important;
}
.td_block_wrap{
padding-bottom: 5px!important;
}
But the space between block posts are added on every specific module so you need to inspect them with the browser inspector and remove them for every module type.
The same goes for the header. Different header styles have different margins and padding..
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
I found that the problem in this part CSS code
.td-header-sp-recs img,
.td-header-sp-recs .adsbygoogle {
position: absolute;
margin: auto;
top: 0;
bottom: 0;
left: 0;
right: 0;
If I remove
position: absolute;
when banner is works, but the picture is not reduced with the screen
Hello,
I see now what you men. That is the separator line for the top menu: http://screencast.com/t/Mv1gfCfTT3.
If you want it removed, you can use this css to do it:
.td-header-style-7 .td-header-top-menu{
border-bottom:transparent!important;
}
Simply add the code in the theme panel->custom css box.
Thank you!
Hi
The theme code was tested and optimized for best performance, we have a lot of clients and the theme works well on a large variety of hosts.
First please make sure that you use the recommended server configuration for Newspaper theme, you can check our documentation for more details: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-requirements-for-newsmag/
There are lots of factors that influence the site’s page-sped. I suggest you first try this without any other plugins active, leave just VC plugin active the check again. To improve the loading speed look the mysql query cache: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/query-cache.html we also use it on our demo.
Also you can use the speed booster to move the js and css at the bottom of the page, eliminate render-blocking, but not for all plugins. Check the System Status if the speed booster is active if you use other plugins than the tested ones. You can find some useful information regrading speed booster usage in this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/speed-booster-questions/
Also you can read this guide, it may help – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Hope this help.
Thanks!
Hi Bogdan,
I made the changes that you suggest. And I made changes at step 5 on that this page. I allowed all plugins for speed booster, I added $this->move_js_to_footer(‘ID’) and $this->move_style_to_footer_queue(‘ID’); codes for moving js and css files to bottom. Now I have blank pages. I can’t see any pages. All blank. So I deactivated Speed booster. Is there another way to move js and css files to bottom? Thanks.
Hello Matija,
If you want to remove those white spaces, you have to reduce the paddings to 0 px. Please try the code below and add it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.
The code is ->
.td-main-page-wrap {
padding-top:0;
}
.td-main-content-wrap {
padding-bottom: 0;
}
The result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/fDe5aLMr0qzg
If is not what you mean, please provide more details about your desired changes so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
Thank you for the message!
