Hello,

Why make Templates pretty but don’t respect the conditions, too slow, have a very nice site but no visitors, what interests, I sincerely hope that themeforest will apply conditions to be able to sell Templates with them,
PageSpeed Insights is applying new measures and it intends to penalize sites that do not respect it, google pays big fines every year for exceeding bandwidth, so yes for chrome to use less bandwidth it will penalize slow sites.
And it has already started.
So yes your templates are super well done but have no interest, it is even a big waste of time for us to go after them to optimize the speed, improve or we change the dairy as they say here in France.

Hello,

Finally I have decided to eliminate “standard pack” and I am trying some prefabricated designs.

Magazine Pro. I like it and I want to optimize it, but there is something that doesn’t work well.

When I am reading an article, I go down at the end, I see the related articles and ….. a new article loads automatically!

How can I avoid this?

Hello!

I checked your website and everything seems to work fine. Also, you can not edit a homepage with Mobile Theme plugin.
If you will create the mobile pages with TagDiv Composer, then when you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin.
The Mobile Theme is a performance optimized theme included in the Newspaper main theme and it loads only for mobile devices. It comes with it’s own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. For more details, please take a look here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thank you!

Hi, the Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) is a element from pages speed, what you can improve it is to optimize the website, for the moment we do not have a guide that can reduce these elements, but for the moment we know that using sticky sidebar and menu will increase the LCP and CLS, if you remove these you’ll improve the pages speed. Also there can be some extra plugins or code that can provide this problem.
Please check the answer from those topics:
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/to-high-cumulative-layout-shift-in-mobile-theme/
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/remove-cls-cumulative-layout-shift-from-html-element/
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/to-high-cumulative-layout-shift-in-mobile-theme/
Those are solutions that we tried to provide for Newspaper, it should work for Newsmag too.
If you want to delete the code for login it can be done only from theme files.
Thank you!

Hi there,

I’m using Autoptimize to try and improve the speed performance of my site. But when I choose to ‘Optimise Javascript Code’, the Full Screen Header (on the menu as per the Fashion demo here) and background images (on other pages like this) no longer appear except when logged in as an administrator.

They do appear when I uncheck the ‘Optimise Javascript Code’. But this has a negative impact on page performance.

I assume it has something to do with the td-backstretch and tdHomepageFullItem elements, but my knowledge of JS isn’t great so I wouldn’t know where to start. Is there a solution whereby I can optimise my Javascript code with Autoptimize, but without preventing the full screen header and background images appearing?

Thanks.

Hello !

Every piece of content your website has does affect page speed. Images, text, links, everything. You will have to make sure that all the images are optimized and our suggestion is to keep the same aspect ratio to all of them for linearity.

If you want to keep desktop design and mobile design same, then you need to deactivate Mobile Theme plugin.
When you install Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin.

@Amit What is the name of the themes main Javascript? The plugin wants concrete name for the exclusion. JQuery I already have excluded from Async.

Here’s a picture of my current settings: https://www.topfgartenwelt.com/svg-logo

The problem with the menu only appears in chrome…

Normally I’m using stop bad bots and my hoster has a protection for the website too, but if the plugin is on all testing tools are blocked, so I have deactivated it for trying to get the LCP down.

I have already tried to reduce the font size on mobile but that leads to a much more higher LCP because the featured image comes into the viewpoint. Than the LCP is really worse.

I have a premium managed wordpress hosting. 🙁 I have already asked them why the server has problems but they only told me that I have worse optimized site…

After a lot of searching I found a way to get the LCP down with the Plugin Async Java Script. It works really fine and can be combined with Autooptimize, but there is a problem that the menu in Chrome stops working. Have you any solution therefore? With help of the plugin the LCP goes down to 1,6 up to 2,3 seconds and thats perfect (https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=de&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.topfgartenwelt.com%2Fkokossterne-mit-schokolade-die-besten-weihnachtskekse).

Guys you have to do something concerning the LCP. It is too high for Google and it increased after the last update before it the LCP was stable for a few months.

In the search console I found problems with the following code:
https://www.topfgartenwelt.com/wp-content/mmr/4c1f2948-1607637698.min.js
https://www.topfgartenwelt.com/wp-content/mmr/392819be-1604329671.min.js,

Maybe you can tell me which script is used for the main-menu so that I can make an exception for it? I’m not using the standard pack.

Greetings Kathrin

Hi
we had to upgrade to PHP-FPM 7.4.13 for a security thing; will Newsmag 4x latest work with PHP-FPM 7.4.13.

Old version of Newsmag 3.1 (my ‘hacked up optimized version’) still works with PHP-FPM 7.4.13 btw. 🙂

Hello !

We do use autoptimize but it is pretty hard because a standard setup will not work. You have to tweak each setting in order to make it fit your website. We only recommend using WP Super cache at the moment.

I’m having a lot of problems with the Theme

I bought it thinking that the theme was good but the site is super heavy.

When I have a lot of access on the site he can’t take it and ends up getting out of air.

I can’t optimize it because there are so many problems that I don’t even know where to start.

Only a Professional could make the site better. Impossible for someone normal to make the site good.

Unfortunately, I didn’t know it was that bad, because if I knew, I wouldn’t have bought it.

I really like all the functions and themes but I’m just having a headache.

Hello!

A demo theme you should be able to edit with TagDiv Composer or set from Website manager which header or footer you need right there. Read more about TagDiv Composer here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/

Hello !

The main “issues” from what I can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/69vUQZDM0F your autoptimize setting seem to be not so precisely made. Also it seems that you are using a lot of fonts, we recommend using 1-2 maximum fonts.

Thank you !

Hi Bettina, thanks for the suggested steps.

I have what I think is a similar problem with my header / main menu, where the main menu is still on the site and it is possible to click on the 4 menu headings, but they are not actually appearing as they are ‘whited out’ to the same colour as the background.

It occurs both when logged into and logged out of WordPress.

It is only happening/relevant on desktop view, not on the mobile hamburger menu.

I have deactivated/reactivated all of my plugins, and found that the problem seems to be with the SG Optimizer plugin (Siteground).

Is there a known conflict, something to beware of, or settings to adjust?

It’s interesting to me that another optimiser plugin (Autoptimize) seems to have initiated this thread!

I will contact Siteground as well, but any further help would be much appreciated.

Website: http://www.eurekagear.com
WordPress version: 5.6
Newspaper version: 10.3.9.1 (though it was also happening with 10.3.9)
SG Optimizer plugin version: 5.7.12 (though it was also happening with 5.7.11)

Looks like it was Autoptimize. Is that a known conflict? Is there something I could change in the Autoptimize settings? Thanks!

Hi,
I just inspected those posts and is look that you have some images that can not be loaded -> https://i.imgur.com/iL6NgU7.png and there is a long time waiting for them.
Is possible to be from the cache plugin that you are using or from some image optimizer plugins.
Please check this and let me know the results!
