Hello Jacco,

Please edit the Search template and check if you have the Posts Loop added; if not, please add it.

Thank you!

Hello,

So, you use the Big Grid Flex, so this one is not set to display the posts because that’s how it was built, so if you want to keep what I can advise you is to set a posts loop block and set an offset of 7 on it, after which the posts will be displayed.

Thank you!

Hello,

Please go and edit the category template, select the posts loop element, go into the tab General, and change the pagination. Make sure the settings are saved.
Also, purge the cache.

Thank you!

Hi Anamaria, thanks for your reply

Actually that block is not “post loop”, it’s “big grid flex10” (imported form technews Pro template)

In that block I see “Offset posts:” option and it’s already empty. Also I can’t see limit post number option.

thanks

Hello,

If you use Flex Block and Big Grid Block you can change the pagination from the tab called Filter -> https://i.imgur.com/uq0g00A.png
For posts loop, you can find the option for pagination in tab General -> https://i.imgur.com/bweQFBr.jpg

Hello,

For the category template, if you have set a posts loop then will display all posts in this category or you can use Flex Block 1 and set the filter to “Category -Current category” => https://i.imgur.com/7P99qx0.png

Hello,

Normally, if Make My Photographer Website is a category, then the Posts Loop will display the posts from that category.

Hi Bettina, ok, lets start again, what I need its a page that shows the category selected with numbered pagination. If I create a page and add the posts loop, It shows all the categories, I want to be able to select one category only, its possible?

Thanks in advance,

Mauri

Hello Mauri!

I think it is a misunderstanding. If you do not have a category page/template, then everywhere you add the posts loop element, it won’t show you the posts from the current category.

Thank you!

Hello Mauri!

No. You need to access your category page and press the green button “Edit with the TagDiv Composer”: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Add the element posts loop in the category page. In this mode, you will have a block with the posts from the current category on every category page.

Or do you need anything else and it is a misunderstanding?

Please let me know!

Thank you!

Hi Bettina, thanks a lot, sorry, when you say “Edit the category page with the TagDiv Composer” do you mean to edit the category in the theme panel as Dragon suggested?

After, where I add the posts loop? In a normal page?

Thanks a lot, and sorry for so many questions,

All the best,

Mauri

Hello Mauri!

Edit the category page with the TagDiv Composer, add the element posts loop, set the nomrla numbered pagination and the element will display only the current category’s posts.

Thank you!

Hello @edragon!

Add a “posts loop” element in the tagdiv Composer and you’ll have a numbered pagination there.

Thank you!

Hello @bitfinsider!

You can achieve this with the TagDiv Composer. Steps:
1. Add 1 row (or existing one)
2. Split into 2 columns( 2/3 + 1/3 )
3. You can add whatever element you want into the second column and consider it a sidebar.

Use the element called “Posts Loop” where you have an infinite loading feature in pagination. There you have all the necessary settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/posts-loop/

Thank you!

I recently had similar issues and found a solution to the problem.

Flex box elements using AJAX to pull in posts were causing major issues with database queries.

I changed to the post loop for the main content area, and removed any blocks using ajax from the footer.

All performance stats on the site dropped by 50% pretty much right away.

Aug 24th – 10am-11am
Response time: 1.36s
CPU Utilization: 97%
Memory Usage: 13GB

Aug 31st – 10am-11am
Response time: .592s
CPU Utilization: 46%
Memory Usage: 7.5GB

Our site has about 100,000 posts and around 500,000 unique visitors per month.

For anyone else having these issues:
Don’t use any blocks / elements with ajax to pull in post data unless you absolutely have to.

Hello @Maurafarah!

Make sure you use the latest update of the theme and the TagDiv Composer. You can use the posts loop element or flex block element: https://forum.tagdiv.com/posts-loop/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/

Thank you!

Hello,

Our theme doesn’t have an option to reorder the posts, but you can apply different filters on the blocks -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/big-grid-flex-settings/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/posts-loop/

Thank you!
