Hi!
Mysterious problem here.
The staging site I am developing is using subdomain and Newspaper Theme, the main domain page is using another theme and having different content.
I have written only one test comment on my staging site. The element “Recent Comments” is not showing the test comment. Instead, it is showing, no comments but blog titles & domain names from the main domain page. And this blog title & domain name are where should be “Author name text”. If I click the weird “Author name text”, it will take me to that another site on main domain page.
And where should be the one test comment, is only blank space. Is it supposed to show the actual comment also? Not just information who wrote it and where?
Any idea why it is working like that? If you need a link to the actual page, I need to contact via email. 🙂

Hello,
I found a bug in the latest version of the theme.
I am using the Tech news demo and installed the required plugins like composer, cloud, newsletter and mobile theme.
While the above plugin activated, the option – Enable/Disable Mobile Theme on a single page breaks the layout on the mobile devices but when the tagDiv Mobile Theme is deactivated, it works fine.

I have tried deactivating, deleting existing plugins, and installing them again but no fix.
Please look into it and fix it asap.

I updated my test site to WordPress 5.9 and Newspaper 11.4.1 (required plugins are updated as well).
In posts that use an adjusted custom single post cloud template the font size does not equal anymore the one set in the theme panel when block typography is set to 32 in the editor – typography 32 is the default running on my live website that is still WP5.8 and Newspaper 11.3.1.
If I’m in editing mode for a post and change typography to either 15 or even 50, the post font is displayed correctly in preview.

Do I need to adjust any settings? Cache has been cleared after the updates.

Thanks for your input. Just reporting back as I tried all of the above to no avail (sorry Bettinna) and so I escalated it to my hosting provider again (who had already ensured all php memory limits were met) as I suspected something else was underlying.
It turns out reason this wasn’t working was because it was triggering ‘mod_security’ rules within my hosting environment that were preventing the ajax calls from working. In short, these systems were blocking the calls to save_post, as it was being flagged as ‘XSS Attack Detected via libinjection’. They were thus able to whitelist the activity and now everything works as expected. There were two rules whitelisted I believe, one for page load and the other for save, which would correlate to the two 406 errors in my console log.
My hosting is a pretty standard linux setup, with widely available security features, and so others may have similar setup running on their host. Just sharing in case it helps others and/or tagdiv guys wanna include some caveats in your documentation.
The system is now working 100% fine and is really fast and powerful btw. I jumped from V8 of newspaper to this, and it’s quite the leap. Excellent work.

Do you mean I could do this best with megamenu? I do not really understand how. 🙂 I want there to be vertical lists of some categories and tags under some headers as submenu items.

So: The submenus should be listed horizontally and every submenu item of submenu (how do you call them?) should be listed even if the submenu is not active, if the parent menu item is active.
2) Where can I hide this mobile menu icon? I am using Crypto News template and cant find this logo in any Settings. Probably obvious thing to ask, but I have tried to search and not found. 🙂

I do have an element Module Flex 1. I want the date to show, but not under the header, as is the default, but above the header, after the category tag. It should be in the same line with the category tag and small vertical line between category tag and date.
Do I have to change functions.php or loop-archive.php file to do this? Or write some code snippet?
I am using Crypto News Template.

What I have done to find the issue?
1. Deactivated all plugins and reactivated one by one.
2. Switched back to Newspaper parent from the child theme.
3. Deactivated, deleted, and reinstalled only default newspaper plugins – td composer, cloud library, and newsletter.
4. Removed all plugins except the newspaper default.
Please help soon. I am using Newspaper Tech news demo
