Hello wash,
This issue is known when using CDN or loading fonts from a different source.
Take a look at this: http://screencast.com/t/AMjW530CSH6 and this: http://screencast.com/t/dLjEUGGwQUZ
The solution to this issue is simple. You will need to add some code to your .htaccess file like this post suggests: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
Thank you for the message!
We have made a page (contact page) but you see the page immediately on the home. That’s strange.
What did go wrong?
Hey,
Seems very strange that a “buy now” link, which directs to the newspaper theme, would be the result of a 3rd party/unaffiliated plugin. That just doesn’t make any sense to me.
Anyway, thanks for looking into it.
Hello,
Your problems come from 2 different things. First of all the logo cannot be found in the specified path. Please make sure the image is present in the location:
http://localhost/neuronews/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/logo-white.png
You have a different logo set for mobile that cannot be found.
And your second problem originates from loading fonts from different locations. In this case you need to add a piece of code to your htaccess. (to see what i mean, please type www. in front of your website url and see that the icons will display corectly again.) Please follow this topic to see how to fix it: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
Thank you!
It worked. thanks.
Its a strange issue. When ever i duplicated a block, the page failed to load.
But if i created it as a new block, it was all ok.

I can’t navigate to anything but the home page of my site by clicking on the pagination tabs at the bottom (2,3…18 etc) it will just reload the home page. Strangely if it is in preview mode, it works fine, but as soon as it is live – it doesn’t work again.
Please help! Thanks,
Sam
Hi,
Please regenerate your thumbnails using this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
If you still have this issue please also provide your site url.
Thanks!
Hi,
Please check this guide and if you have a similar issue please regenerate thumbnails – https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/ Also please note that WordPress doesn’t enlarge your images, so if you upload small images on modules which use thumbs that are larger than the uploaded image the original size will be used (the image will not be up-scaled), this is not ideal because blank(grey for some blocks that have background) space may appear around the thumb.
If you don’t have the possibility to upload large images you could use a combination of plugins to upscale the thumbs – Thumbnail Upscale and Force Regenerate.
Let us know how it goes!
Thanks!
Hello,
I purchased the newspaper theme recently. I am currently working on my test subdomain. I am trying to make a home page using the default theme template and i am facing a strange issue. If i add more then one “block 1” content to the homepage and publish it, i am just getting a blank page. Whereas if i am using only one “block 1” content then all seems OK.
What could be causing the issue? I need to fix this before i update all the changes on my live site.
Hello , I need urgent help
I changed the colors of the ” theme color ” and I broke the site, seen ugly, and every article are different colors , very ugly.
Can you tell me which colors are necessary :
“General theme color ”
” Heder (top menu , main menu , mobile menu , header ) ”
” foother ( foother , sub- footer ”
” Content ( pages , post) ”
Please , help me , sees strange and ugly , no longer understand anything
I’ve noticed that when using speed booster, the site seems to load CSS last or something and the site looks very ugly for a brief moment. For instance, all of the H tags do not have their font applied until later and they show very strangely which does not look right.
Anyone else see this?
Edit: I’ve tried again recently and this does not seem to happen as prominently. Will continue to test…

Hi,
As you know this is a new wordpress feature and it seems that it doesn’t render some strange characters, you can check this also with a default wp theme and I guess they don’t use escape for embed content – https://codex.wordpress.org/Validating_Sanitizing_and_Escaping_User_Data#Escaping:_Securing_Output
Catalin added this on our list to make it responsive on our theme and I also add this issue for future investigations, but I think we don’t alter this and it comes from wordpress, please check the same articles on a wp theme.
Let’s hope that soon it will work properly and we also will investigate this and do some tests and if it is necessarily to change something in our theme, we will do it.
Thanks!
Hi Catalin,
thanks for your code, it works perfect for the responsiveness. But on mobile, I see pretty strange symbols in the article preview. See here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/iyjhhaypksewxjz/Strange%20Font.png?dl=0
Do you know a solution for this as well? Link to the article: http://starzip.de/louis-tomlinson-baby
Thanks, Loano

Hello Terrence,
Please make sure that this strange behaviour for this feature does not come from conflicting plugins because I have tested this on my side and everything seems to work perfectly. Please check your list of the plugins used by you and check what plugin cause this issue. Please try to disable all the active plugins, clear all cache and instal only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicts between plugins and our theme. Try to see without plugins if your problem reappears and then try to instal one by one and see wich is the problematic plugin because this kind of issue does not come from our default theme, sorry!
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!
Hi,
I have checked your site and it looks fine now – http://screencast.com/t/lDZuCRGtpPD8
If you still have this issue please make sure you load the fonts from the same source, please check this solution – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
Thanks!
I found a strange bug with slider image does not appear on screen on some mobile devices (in my test: iPad 3, Note 4, Note 5). It only happens with slider-col 2 (2/3 width) and does not happen with slider-col 1 and col 3. This bug does not appear on any desktop browser.
My website is wekorat.com
On some device (e.g. Nexus 6 via Chrome debugger), the slider appear correctly. The style in div “td_module_slider” is 392px. (I think this is calculated by JavaScript from device screen size)

But on certain devices, the slider is gone blank. The width becomes “0” as highlighted in the screenshot.

It seems to me this is a screen calculation bug from any JS file.
Thank you! It helped.
The only problem I have right now is that social counter plugin managed to lose all the data, and for some reason shows up strange, but I’ll be able to handle it on my own, I think.
This is the strangest thing and we cannot find a lead on the cause. Random featured images are not getting loaded – maybe only on the home page – but the same featured images work on the individual post page and the image URLs are fine. We’ve tried all the normal troubleshooting things like turning lazy load off, looked for JS errors, checked plugins, etc. It doesn’t make sense that many work and seemingly random ones don’t, and that the images themselves are fine.
The site: http://kehilanews.com/
Example post where the featured image works on the post page but not on the home page:
http://kehilanews.com/2016/01/21/tu-bishvat-emerging-from-dormancy/
Image URL taken directly from the featured image in post edit:
http://kehilanews.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/almondblossom.jpg
What could be wrong with Newspaper that this is happening?
Thanks!
Hi
The theme doesn’t have an option to disable the video thumbs but you can achieve this by removing this function from td_video_support.php file: http://screencast.com/t/DUkNokMtlFTm The result will be like here: http://screencast.com/t/n8MXlzQ8mue Please note that you have to regenerate your thumbnails, here is a guide about this step: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/ otherwise the video thumbs will still appear on the site.
Thanks!
Solved the issue. After downloading Firebug and looking at the error I saw it was the ad related boxes. I went into the theme panel and saw there was some old adwords test code that was not active. Once I removed it the gaps went away. The strange part is only Firefox displays the gaps while Chrome and Safari do not. I didn’t check IE as I’m on a Mac and dont have access to it.
Hello ebrahimsblog,
The icon issue is a whole different matter. This issue is tied to fonts. If they are not loaded from the same source, this can happen.(It’s basically because of the CDN) In this case, you will need to add a rule in .htaccess like this topic suggests: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
I hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hello mabaro,
I suspect to be a problem that might be caused by the plugins in conflict. Please try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme. This odd behavior occurs when some untested plugins interfere between them and with the theme. Also, please ensure that your title of the sidebar does not contain a strange character (unknown symbols) but only letters and numbers. Check your sidebar after you have done this changes and see if your problem persists.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Hello MyNarrabri,
I have checked you website and your page source and I noticed that you use a lot of untested plugins with our theme. Your theme behaviour is very strange and I suspect it might be caused by conflicting plugins. Please try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and thus rule out the plugins in conflict. We have a list of tested plugins and our theme works fine with these -> http://screencast.com/t/nI0FIV4fN Check the theme without your untested plugins used and see if your problem persists. Also, then you can reinstall your plugins one by one and see wich plugin interfere and could cause this problem in our theme.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thank you for the message!
Hello lvargas,
There is so strange behaviour. Unfortunately, this issue does not come from the theme. Please ensure you have entered the correct Twitter ID and you have followed the right steps in this regard. Also, please make sure this problem does not come from the plugins in conflict. Please try to disable all the active plugins, except Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and check it again and see if your problem persists. Please check this tutorial because it should be more useful for you -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/
Hope that helps and let us know how it goes!
