@colors issue – Do you use a cache plugin? try to clear the cache and see if the changes are active. Also check if the settings in Theme Panel are actually saving or they return to default when you get back in the Theme Panel area.
@excerpt (summaries) – i see you use the Homepage – with article list template , you have to edit the main page and change the module used, you use module 15 which displays the entire post, just chose one which comes with an excerpt – http://screencast.com/t/oL1fDyyg0G
@author box – you could create a similar author box and add it into the sidebar on the main page. Use html and custom css. It’s a blog and it would be strange to display an author box after each post on the homepage if the author is the same on all posts. if you refer to something else please provide more details.

Ok in a strange twist, I happened to be editing the Footer for another issue when I found some Commented out Scripts. Out of curiosity I enabled it and BANG! The Masonry Grid came back!
I’m going to have to track down what happened, but I’d like to thank you all the same for your help!

I do not believe this is an issue with our community… Your site is available on the net and anyone can try to attack it. In general all most of the WordPress sites have strange traffic, there seems to be a lot of bots that crawl for insecure WordPress sites. The best way to protect yourself is what Chris S recommended here https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/newspapertagdiv-powered-websites-showcase/page/4/#post-70075 . In addition to the very good recommendations I also use Cloudflare CDN, it basically sits between your server and the internet and it’s very efficient when it comes to attacks.

Got to thinking about it and the error code I was getting was a strange. So downloaded the update again and it worked great.
Moral of the story: data sometimes gets corrupted while being downloaded – HA!
For the past week i’ve notice a lot of traffic coming from the Newspaper/TagDiv powered websites showcase form that hitting my site with some strange behaviour and from different countries e.g India,Italy,USA,France just to name a few..and i have proof they coming from here because i can see all my live traffic as it hit my site also a lot of 404s in my logs from this form…i think it’s best to not showcase sites in this form any more because they a lot of low life people on here that just want to hack people sites etc..
They trying to hack my site from the login form and they had no success with that so they now trying to find a new way to get in,well my site is bullet proof, who ever you are will get banned and you can keep changing ips till the cows come home they all will be get banned and reported…

When I look at the Newspaper 6 settings>system status and scroll down to the bottom there is social networks. There I see our facebook and twitter but there is also a youtube one for a jonlajoie. I looked in our social settings and there isn’t a youtube profile in the field. Here it is as of today:
How do I remove this guy?

Usually that gray space appear when the image is smaller than the thumb in which it’s displayed, because WordPress won’t enlarge images, only crops them. To avoid that you can use a portrait image at least by the big grid thumb’s size. Also try to regenerate thumbs: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
To add a new big grid you can use theme’s API: https://forum.tagdiv.com/td_api_blockadd/ but this is a complex task and requires good coding skills, as you will need a custom css for its layout and depending by your needs maybe a new module. My advice is to look for a developer from sites like: http://studio.envato.com/ to help you with that, as we cannot offer any type of custom work at the moment.
If this is not what you mean please provide more details and your site’s url so I can inspect this isuee.

We have on our front page in VC the Big Grid Slider (Grid Style 4), I set it to show all articles and max 12 (so 3 slides of each 4 articles).
Slide 1 shows the latest 1, 2, 3 and 4 article. However the strange thing is that slide 2 shows the latest articles 9, 10, 11 and 12. The third slide shows the latest articles 17, 18 19 and 20! There is a gap of 4 articles between slide 1 and 2 and between 2 and 3.

It is the strangest thing. When the Visual Composer plugin is activated, I cannot access the “Media Library” when disabled, it works perfectly. I removed it completely and reinstall it and it’s still not working.
Please help asap.
When I insert an image, sometimes my text isn’t spacing after the image. I tried hitting shift enter and even hard enter but still no space after image. Sometimes I get the correct space after an image and sometimes the text sits right below the image with no real space break. Sometimes the cursor moves to the right of the image ad goes up the page. Very strange.
Any idea why?

We are using a slightly older version of the theme (4.6.3) and of WPBakery Visual Composer (4.4.4)… so I’m not sure if that makes a difference here. But I went to Settings > Visual Composer… and went under ‘Administrator’ and told it to ‘select all’ (all of the boxes were unchecked). However, that didn’t seem to fix it. The homepage still shows the incorrect modules (see screenshot). Strangely, this seems to be the only affected page. The other pages show the correct modules within the Visual Composer.

Regarding the VC plugin I noticed that the blocks stop appearing after the raw html: http://screencast.com/t/LBKe1OzNDiU so please check if the code you added it’s correct, because seems to affect the plugin functionality. Also you can check the browser’s console fro errors, or try without plugins, leave just Visual Composer active

Strange one… We’re using Newspaper 4 and when we set “Limit Post” in content blocks to “5” it displays 10. All other selections to limit, including 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 posts, etc., work fine. It is happening in content blocks and iOS slide on home page. Any thoughts?

I am posting an article from the wordpress admin of my site. Now there is a strange issue which i am facing with it. And its happening randomly. I have written the complete post in the backend and when i post it in frontend it only shows me an image.
Also if i am logged in from admin panel and then open the article it instead of showing me “Edit Post” option it shows me “Edit Media”
Let me know how to resolve it.

Today I buy your Newspaper theme. The first impression is very positive, but there is a strange bug in Visual Composer.
If I add an element RAW HTML CODE – and click on save – all elements in Visual Composer below that RAW HTML CODE are not loading in backend (in front end is OK). How to resolve that?
Text only (wordpress widget) in Visual Composer is not Text only, so I can’t see properly my newsletter subscription form in frontend.

We’ve installed (and love) the newspaper theme on our site. We’re currently under construction and testing and have come across a strange issue.
We link to other sites from both pages and posts, and in every case we use the ‘insert a link’ within the WP editor. We select the ‘open in another window/tab’ checkbox, but we are getting mixed results. On pages and some posts, it works as expected. But on other posts, it’s either opening the link both in the same tab as well as another tab (in chrome), or only in the originating page (in safari).
The only thing we can narrow it down to that we’re doing, is the issue seems to pop up when we use “Post Settings>Smartlists”.
Is there something we’re doing wrong or can fix via CSS?

Thanks for reaching out again.
I am using WPSuperCache with all recommended settings. I have got nginx so compression rules have been set as well in the .conf file. I have also configured browser caching options. I am also using google news sitemap.
What i have observed is that if i delete the cache and then update the story by adding a new image, Google picks up the new image immediately. It seems that when the story is first published, it is not considering the actual image of the story, but when the story is updated, it pulls the correct image. Strange!

I have checked your site and the photo gallery seems to stack accordingly at the moment, although i did see something that might have caused problems. Your thumbnails are not displaying accordingly. Hi, we are seeing a very strange glitch with our top menu with logo on http://www.fokus.ba.
When site loads, it is shown for a second, thank full black, nothing visible on it. If we scroll a bit down, and than up, it shows as it is supposed to be.
I guess it is some plugin (as always), but we are really low on plugins at this moment, so if someone could took a look at this, we will really appreciate this – to learn what is causing this and how to fix it 🙂

I use Yoast SEO plugin as well.
I noticed that when you paste the link, it allows me to change the image and the back appears the correct image, but strangely always appears an image of an old post as a highlight.
This is really annoying!
