The theme uses the WordPress default query for custom taxonomies which it’s made in loop.php file here: http://screencast.com/t/vGXPifsf31
The query from td_data_source.php affect only theme’s blocks, or the content from Visual Composer editor. To affect the content displayed by the loop you have to write a custom query. Depending where you want to display posts from custom taxonomy the file differs. You can make a new page template with a custom query where only posts from one or more taxonomy are displayed.
Please note that working with custom taxonomies in WordPress require good coding skills and also many customizations in theme files. Here I found some information which may help you in this regard:

@Chris: I did not mean to merge the plugins CSS and/or JS but rather to make “local” their calls that are made in every site page header. In other terms, I’d like to copy these resources (CSS and JS) locally to my server filesystem and call them from there to avoid the TCP/IP delay overhead. I have already tried commenting the wp_head() and including them straight forward by their local paths but this approach causes malfunctioning to the page load. There is something of “dinamic behaviour” of wp_head() that prevents this approach to work successfully. But what?

As you can see, no one of the registered CSS and JS listed by functions.php curresponds to those found by Google Speed Insights! So that I don’t have any ID of CSS and/or JS to use to move their loading in the footer by means of td-speed-booster.php hacking.
What is wrong with that or what could be done instead?

Thanks for your suggestions. We’re now using Super Cache & Cloudflare but still far from a decent load speed. I’m trying to add the below to the bottom of the file td-speed-booster.php but getting the error “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ”); ‘ (T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING)”. The position I tried to add this to was the line just below the line ‘new td_speed_booster();’

Please advise how to add the below to td-speed-booster.php without the error…

By default on archive page you can’t use the page-builder from Visual Composer. However you can use do_sortcode function to display blocks on archive page. First you need to get the shortcode from Visual Composer: http://screencast.com/t/vDPzUEldhk – http://screencast.com/t/lqxAJrJcjwn0 then paste it into the indicated function like here: http://screencast.com/t/GgZz9psSiVv

You can add a specific class on the block from which you want to hide the row, in Visual Composer: http://screencast.com/t/MkIn5STfXU then use it in css to tarket only that specific row like in this example:

For each block the theme make a custom query depending by the filter set in Visual Composer. The query it’s made in td_data_source.php here http://screencast.com/t/qwy075xXq and the arguments for it are defined here: http://screencast.com/t/8P8ntnH8Nu To add a new sort order you have to edit td_config.php file and add your sort. You can add it either as a new field or simply as an option in sort list: http://screencast.com/t/jP8gMSDk Next step would be to generate the new sort in td_data_source.php by adding the required arguments to query.

Please consider that this is a complex task which require advanced coding skills, also many customization and tests. If you can’t do this by yourself my advice is to look for someone which can help you with this or hire a freelancer to do it for you as we can’t offer any type of custom work at the moment.

You can try the solution we did; deactivate Visual Composer, and use Radu’s “Shim” solution, which allows you to use the nice TD modules, but you lose some of the high-maintenance/high-query VC stuff that most high-traffic sites do *not* really need. You can also find a snippet in my optimization thread from the tutorials > best of forums thread where I disable loading VC stuff entirely from the post pages; only home page.

The menu it’s hidden because of an external css applied on its container. This css seams to be inherited in menu’s html structure. If you made any changes in header file try to revert them then test again. Also try o deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again.

1. Tema nu are nici un widget care sa alinieze imaginile una langa alta asadar vei avea nevoie de o implementare custom. Cel mai siplu mod ar fii sa adugi imaginile in interiorul unui container astfel incat sa le poti targeta cat mai usor cu css. Revenind la codul tau ar fi de facut cateva observatii:

Te rugam sa iei in considerare ca orice modificare adusa in structura posturilui sau in modul de afisare a continutului implica customizari suplimentare. Noi oferim suport pentru tot ce inseamna modul de utilizare si configurarea corecta a temei. Orice customizare care implica modificarea actualei implementatri, pentru orice element implica schimbarea codului actual sau ajustarea lui pentru a abtione rezultatul dorit.
Din pacaqte timpul nu ne permite sa oferim servicii de customizare, fiind un numar mic de membrii ne confruntam cu un volum mare de munca. Pentru orice alte customizari va trebuii fie sa angajezi un developer care sa te ajute in realizarea lor.

I’ve checked your site on a tablet with Windows 8 as operating system and I have not encountered any problems with more article box but i found a js error in browser’s console on desktop: http://screencast.com/t/zEGTDEviD I am not sure what causes this error but you can try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer just to be sure that there is no conflict, clear all caches and test again.

I’ve tested a post from your site and the more article box does not show up after it’s closed once:
http://screencast.com/t/WwdobzTYMy I am not sure why the box appear again on your side but you can try to clear the cache memory, also deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer and test again.
Also you can try to make a new local install on your computer, with the latest version of WordPress, the current version of the theme available on themeforest, V 2.3.5, Visual Composer plugin and test again.
The theme don’t have any sort order filters for posts displayed in more article box. If you chose to display posts from same category, the display order will be random. To change the display order you have to edit the td_more_article_box.php file and add this parameters like here: http://screencast.com/t/5vwNrQuRZnM

Have you try deactivate plugins? There are many thing can be happend to slow your server. Maybe its incompatible some plugin whit nespaper :(.

in your site i see some other plugins like:

Jetpack (this plugin really slows every wordpress site)
K-K Star raiting (newspaper has rating system on posts)

GTranslate (isnt configurated in your site)

contact form 7 (if you are using jetpack, you can use contact form from jetpack)
WP-PostRatings (newspaper has rating system on posts)
ad rotate pro
social media feather (newspaper have this)

I mean, you have a lot of plugins runing in your site and maybe the CPU and RAM isnt enogth or just arent incompatible whit newspaper theme.
