Hi there,
been using Newspaper since 2017, and have had a license for Toolset for a while now as well. Today I wanted to use them together and noticed that there seems to be a compatibility issue in which Newspaper uses a custom way to display content. The content created for a Custom Post Type is not showing. I only see the author and the title.
Is there anything I can do to workaround this?
Good morning to all the team tagdiv, I wanted to ask if you can intervene on the code hide in some pages or on entire directories instagram images in the footer or remove the ads of Google ads only in some pages (pages created, in this case) to create with toolset plugin? Hi Azzriel, no I didn’t manage this, or better, I didn’t try any further. Apparently, it is quite hard to make Newspaper work with Toolset and results are not granted.

and then we want to all the single post under CPT “wedding-package” will looks like different from default single post

but from my opinian, its will change all the post include all CPT
but in this case i want on my CPT, to have different layout singe post
can someone help me to achive this ?
i already using plugin toolset content template and it not work because newspaper 7 override the single layout

I installed Newspaper and Toolset from scratch but still, only title shows up.
Also tried all other plugins for custom content and custom fields but not luck. Not able to code so had to skip ACF, and this looks like a perfect solution.

I would like using new taxonomy “Rubriche” (and theirs sub-taxonomies) because of the sub-taxonomies are duplicating some categories that have other meaning and other context.
But I can not select my new taxonomies (created using “Toolset Types” third-party plugin by OnTheGoSystems) from menu option “Make this a category mega menu” ceause it lists category only. Is possible to implement taxonomies in this menu? Ro else, how can I have my megamenu within taxonomies?

Edit: I had to remove the theme from my website as it just wasn’t functional. I took some screengrabs of the above examples to show you the problem:

I did submit a refund request on Envato Market but I’d really like to fix the issue rather than get a refund. I’ll need a refund if there’s nothing to be done.

I currently use Toolset Layouts and when I installed the Newspaper theme on my website it removed the settings I had in Layouts plus it distorts my custom taxonomies archives.
Is there any way to fix it?

On the archives page you’ll notice the sidebar doesn’t appear, well, on the side, but rather underneath all the posts and sometimes overlaps them: https://www.cinemascandinavia.com/director/ruben-ostlund/
I was able to solve this issue by entering get_content into:
Toolset > Settings > Theme support for Content Templates
field, in case it is useful to someone else.

How to create a custom single template for your post type:
Step 1 – Pick one of your favorite single templates (check the next image)
Step 2 – Copy it in the root of your child theme folder
Step 3 – Rename it to single-your_post_type.php (replace your_post_type with the wordpress id of your post type. In our sample plugin the id is td_book so the file should be called single-td_book.php)
How to create a custom taxonomy list:
Copy the taxonomy.php file from the root of the theme to the root of the child theme and rename it to taxonomy-YourTaxonomy.php

I did not realize that my tone was so harsh. Sorry for that. I did know that no more updates were released, but i need some of the new things in that, and just anxious wish to know how the process takes place.
As for the tag div composer, i already tested it, and used it on a couple of pages. But i use Visual Composer to integrate with another paid plugin (toolset), and for that layouts they’re got only integration with visual composer.
Newspaper is a great theme but I can’t help feeling there is something missing! Why is it so difficult to show a featured image on a page? With a theme that’s as good as Newspaper, it should be easy – but with the current toolset (Composer) it’s impossible.
Why is this?
Personally, I would like to see a module like the “Homepage Post” which would allow me to show a featured image as the background and header. It looks great – so why restrict it to posts?

Dear Robert, could you please clarify how you fixed it? After you changed the TagDiv code into get_content, does the rest of the theme functionalities still work?

You can set the realted articles to be filtered by a tag from the them pannel: http://screencast.com/t/9Y0s7BFfA8 but the more from author will simply grab more posts from the same author as the post. If this is the redaction, then the redaction will be used in this field. I;m not sure how you set up authors on your site, but our theme uses the default wordpress user roles. any other user role is not tested. Your plugin (toolset) is also not tested so I cannot say for sure how it should work. If youhave a user named redaction and this is the user that posts the content, then that is the author. if you want to have different authors, yopu need to create users for them and each one should post from his own user id.

We would like to use a different field for displaying the more form this author at the bottom box (related articles and more form this author).
The reason is that all of our articles are published by our redaction and not by indidivual authors. So displaying the standard wordpress user (which is the case now wihtin the newspaper theme as an author) doesn’t work since it would display all the articles of the redaction instead of the specific author.
We have set up a custom field (by toolset plugin) for each author, which uses a tag.
Is there a way to display the more form this author box, showing the tag (=Author) for this post?

dynamic_sidebar(‘newspaper-default’);It should be able to output the side bar “newspaper-default” in single post of all custom post types. but I am not familiar with your theme “newspeper”, I suggest you ask more help from the author of theme “newspeper”. there should be some settings that I could not find.

Hi – I’ve just purchased Newspaper and am investigating whether it will support all the customisations I have built with my current theme.
One aspect that isn’t working as expected is I have some custom post content that is configured using the Toolset group of plugins.
You can see how it outputs using my current theme here.
This is how the same page outputs using Newspaper:
I obviously haven’t configured the logo, menus and sidebar, but my concern is that none of the custom post content is visible, except for the title.

Thank you so much for your help. Here are my specific questions:
There has been a misunderstanding here. We don’t need a “subscription system; we need only 1 thing to work and that is for when a subscriber subscribes, we get an email saying they have subscribed. The system already has a set up where people can subscribe. It may help to visit the site and see the Subscription Link there. That’s all. (Please see copied document which highlights the problem I think we are experiencing and might point to a solution)

B) When somebody subscribes, where is that being stored?
Answer: Subscriptions are being handled by a widget called “jetpack_subscriptions_widget”.
Where the widget stores data would have to be looked into by TAGDIV.
C) Can you see the people who are signing up?
Answer: We can see the people who are signing up through an ADMIN Panel in WORDPRESS.com.
However while the subscriber does receive an email, we do not. We have to go into another
company’s toolset to find this data.
D) Plugin?
Answer: The Subscriptions are being handled by a widget called “jetpack_subscriptions_widget”.
What we have validated is that once a person subscribes, the following occurs:
1. The person gets an email asking them to confirm their signup.
2. The confirmation email process workds because when a person confirms, the email address
gets populated into the WORDPRESS.COM ADMIN panel.
3. The email address gets populated into the WORDPRESS.COM ADMIN panel
4. The web hosting company has validated that they can forward an email from our email address
on the web hosting system to the Yahoo email address for the BLOG. This has been set up and
done through the SMTP protocol.
So just based upon this, it would appear that something is not working with the “jetpack_subscriptions_widget”
to get it to send us an email that a subscriber has subscribed. The widget is NOT instantianting or a method
call is not correctly working.

on most professional news portals, popups (“interstitials” on many sites, technically) are actually managed by the AD MANAGER toolset, and not the CMS portion. Meaning, the CMS runs the content, the Ad Manager runs the ad placement, timing, tracking, etc.
You likely will want to look into an ad management platform to integrate, which offers pro level tools to implement interstitials, tracking, and other elements for your specific needs.
Or, you could use very simple existing tools like “nBar – Advanced WordPress Multipurpose Bar Builder” which allows you to slide in footer or header ads. Or, “WordPress Advert Flap Pro” which has fly in ad elements, or “Interstitial Ads for WordPress.”
Hopefully you won’t be too easily frustrated by that idea.
