Hello good, for about 3 weeks I updated to version 8.1.1 I’ve been seeing 404 errors related to the articles I upload to Google plus communities. The errors they show me are of the type .. Mydomain.com/article/post-1234 . But then when I go to the article published on Google Plus it is all right and there is no error … It only happens to me in the domains where I have Newspaper installed on my other domains where I use another template does not give me this type of errors in Google Search console. Blame Envato for a crappy updater. This is why *most* people update themes manually by FTP, so you can also do safety backup FIRST, in case you break something; this allows you to ‘roll back’ if the ‘auto update’ fails and kills your website.

There is no automatic update, as with many/most ‘commercial’ themes. If you sign up for the update note on your Envato/ThemeForest account – you will get email each time there is a theme update. Dot updates are typically bug or security fixes, or to update the included plugins – so check changelog each time. Major number updates are big upgrades and like new theme.
Hi, I made some changes to style.css and td-login-modal.php for social login feature. I didn’t create child theme as I heard it could make the site slow and made the changes directly on the default theme.

Before, I could easily update the theme and visual composer using Envato Toolkit since you provided an auto-installer. Now, I have to download the complete (!) theme manually from Themeforest and upload ONLY visual composer. This is ridiculous.
Yeah. Also note every time you update Yoast SEO, be sure to check the ‘features’ page as they sometimes turn stuff ‘on’ by default, even if you don’t want it (like ‘count links’) or similar. They have also added new ‘user roles’ for SEO Manager to the WP dbase without asking if we wanted that. I posted a [tutorial] around here on how to turn that off with a function.

I had to back-up to my site before the Newspaper 8 update. The TagDiv composer doesn’t seem to work that well – all my images are messy and the font is way too big, or doesn’t show at all because the images overlay the titles. I wanted Big Grid 6 as the main homepage, and major issues. I tried all of the grids, too, and still looks very off.

@Dmitry_Lupich I see that you are using the Newsmag theme. There was an issue with the background ad functionality in version 4. So it would be bets if you update the theme, the problem is fixed in the latest version

Or if that is not possible for you at the moment, a quick fix would be to enter this code in Theme panel->Custom CSS section

I update to the file.zip in new update 8.1.2 but don’t came a new version.
My toolbar don’t work. I click but don’t make anything.
I updated the theme to the most recent version. I also updated wordpress. I hadn’t done both in quite some time. Do you think if I switch to TagDiv composer, that it will work better? I still haven’t updated visual composer, because it seems to always crash my website when I delete it.
What did you update? And, did you clear your mobile browser cache to see the new site?

You basically need to have open graph tags added to your site, typically with a plugin like Yoast SEO or similar.
It is true that a few days ago I update the Yoast Seo plugin. Now I am looking how to open graph tags but I don’t see the option.

Hello, after a big update the background in my site is having a lot of issues when i enter in my theme options panel and try to change the background it do not change, and when i succesfully change it, it appear in low resolution very pixelated, what can be causing this issue? sorry for my english is not my main thanks in advance.
