In fact, I had to include the whole URL: https://www.facebook.com/BUQUERO-756756017805016 and I had to update the Facebook URL field of the get_social_network_meta function on the td_block_social_counter.php file to make it work.
It’s working now!

The theme verison in the plugin was not changed from newspaper 6 to 7. Ignore the theme version number. The version number specifying the newspaper version 6 was added because of users that still had newspaper 4 and the plugin would not work properly in newspaper 4.
We will remove the comment in the next theme update.

Do you have newspaper version 4 at the moment? That is version 4 not version 7.4 or 6.4
That script is only indended for users that have the very old version of our theme from years ago.
As for visual composer, you can download the latest version of the theme from envato and it will contain visual composer 5. Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/

We do have reports of this issue but we are not seeing it on our end on sites that do not have seo yoast. if we use soe yoast on our testing sites, the facebook share works properly. On our demo for the moment there is no seo yoast active as we just updated the demos and we did not enable it yet. We will look into this matter and see if we find anything but for the moment it works as expected for us where there is yoast enabled and the og image enabled.

It seems that after you updated the theme no custom code is working for you at all. I think yuu should consider running a few tests to see if any at all modification can be made on your site. Make a back-up of your install and theme and simply delete the whole code for the header.php file for example and see if the website still displays the same.

The thumbnail and excerpt that usually appear when you post a link on Facebook are not displaying. I was advised that it was a theme issue. All of the Newspaper theme sites are having this issue and none of the non-Newspaper themes have having this issue. Are you planning an update to fix this problem or can you recommend a plugin to resolve the issue?
Whenever I make changes to my theme, whether it’s adding widgets or changing the header, the updates are only visible when I’m logged in as an administrator. When I log out, and see the website as public, the theme is exactly the same as when I first installed it. No matter what I do, none of the changes are visible on the website when I see the website as the rest of the public does. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
Also, once I installed this theme, the author’s names have completely disappeared and been replaced by sections, for example, if the author was Jane Smith, it now says that the author is Arts & Culture. Is there any way to fix this issue?

Hello, I’m using the last version of this beautiful theme (with wordpress 4.7), but this evening, suddently the view counter on some articles has stopped working well. For example, there was an article with over 3000 views, and all of a sudden now it shows only 200. Is there something wrong I am doing? I just updated the theme…

I have noticed if I try to create a new page I get the same problem. I do not have the problem on exsiting pages, except from the home page. I have updated the theme to 7.3.

Use FTP to delete / install plugin updates safely if your hosting/wordpress setup blocks the admin panel from deleting or installing files.

From inspecting your site i can see that are multiple css styles overlapping the main theme style. If you are using a child-theme please disable it and see what happens. Also if u have a child-theme please make sure you have updated it to the latest version, from the package that you downloaded from Themeforest. Please let me know if you still have issues.

Until about an year ago w3 total cache was the tested and recommended plugin to use with our theme but it became a very large plugin and has lots and lots of settings and these created more and more problems with our theme. You can use it if you have the proper knowledge to set it up so it does not affect the theme. But we had to give it up because of too many problem reports we had with this plugin and the problems it created for us when updating the theme. On each update we have to adjust the theme for the plugins as well and w3 total cache proved to be pretty difficult to keep compatible with our theme. SO the decision was made to move over to the plugin created by the wordpress developers which is wp super cache.

You can find the visual composer plugin in the main theme archove you can download from envato. The envato market app will not provide the latest version of visual composer so you will still have to download the theme package to update visual composer. The plugin will not update automatically.
The same goes for revolution slider. If they are bundled with the theme free of charge, they will not update automatically.

OK, I have updated the theme installing the envato plugin. Q1: Does thos mean I will never have to update the theme manually again? Q2: Where do I find the current version of my theme?

Q3: Where do I find or download the file Newspaper\includes\plugins\js_composer.zip from? Q4: Can I somehowe make Visual Composer update itself automatically? Please try to make a new clean install from scratch with the latest version of the theme and also, only with the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins.
