I’m sure I updated it with the latest update of NewMag a month or so ago. But when I click on the Visual composer icon it just takes me to the “Get visual composer page”
Have I not got the latest one?

Thanks! The update has been successfully made.
I have a little issue with the author name of the post and the comment box, I had it disable and now is showing it.
I went to the theme panel/ post setting/show author name and enable comments i post and they are disable (grey).
But in the web I can still see them.
Is there another button that I have to disable?

I followed step by step, can see theme has been updated but can’t get it exact same. CSS missing, icons not showing and Footer is completely different.

It was working perfectly until 2 days ago. When we are logged in as Administrator, wordpress Admin bar on top is being displayed only on HomePage. When we navigate one of the pages (post, pages, etc.), that admin bar on top is being disapeared.
It was working before, we didnt update anything and we didnt install any plugin, suddenly it happened. Please could you help us?

You don’t need to register the Revolution Slider which comes bundled with the theme as it is already licensed to the theme. We provide updates on regular base and in the next version we will include the latest version of the plugin available on the market, so you will be able to update it.

Everything is broken, I see double menus, missing sliders and bunch of errors.
I’ve updated via envato toolkit, then tried to do update again via downloading file from ThemeForest. Same thing.
Also I’ve manually updated the VC plugin. Didn’t solve my problem.
Can you please tell that if we create a smart list with 4-5 pages and shows ads on each pages, then ads will auto fresh by clicking next or previous or they will be the same…??

Yes, we are using mobile theme, and i can understand your concern about mobile theme….but as you said mobile theme is lighter so it is a must for us to load fast since 80% traffic from mobile….
Next problem, is there any way that we can add more ad spots in mobile them or are you going to add few in next update…??
In this case we need to add adsense code manually to the posts to show both on mobile as well as on desktop…??
If there is any other way out please advice..?

Newspaper theme is a complete package in itself. We have different post tempplates for videos, listicles and then different layouts for each types. You all must be aware that there are two types of posts which are highly popular on Social sites other than videos and standard articles. These are 1. Lists and 2. Quizzes
We already have required setup for Lists but what about Quizzes? Do we have any such plans for any such updates in the near future! There is an amazing plugin by an amazing developer StephanePtn ( based on our conversations) called Wordfpress Viral Quiz – BuzzFeed Quiz Builder
Are you in the process of embedding something similar as one of our integral post types. I don’t know how many other users here have requested for this. but to make our NewsPaper really complete, I think it should be “must have”feature in our theme.
Please let me know your plans as if it will take more than a year or so, I will have to buy the above mentioned third party plugin.

After thinking a lot , now I think I have to deactivate this mobile plugin till the next version updates. Is there any suggestions from you for HOMEPAGE OPTIMISATION on desktop version so that it can produce almost equivalent ( to the mobile theme) speed and optimization when being seen on mobiles? Like what are the things I should take care of.

It seems the update was not done properly from what you describe.
Please check the following:

I’m looking to move my site to another host but this new host uses PHP7 which means moving is a issue due to current theme support

This update should be on high priority. There should be at least 2 or three smart lists options on mobile theme. and the default should be either SMART LIST-1 or 2 on the user’s point of view.
I know TagDiv always listens to us.. and I am waiting for their next Mobile theme version update.

First I thought it’s a bug on my mobile but I re-checked everything but still noticed the most hated smart list-7 on my mobile theme for any kind of smart lists I have on my website.
Then I started reading threads here for the solution and then discovered this harsh truth that Mobile theme uses SMART LIST-7 as the default and only option. Really???
We all want the mobile theme to be speedy and easy to browse for all our mobile visitors but then SMART LIST-7 is the slowest and the most irritating list option available ever. This is the same option used by many SPAMMY websites to increase the page views on their website. But on users point of view SMART LIST-7 is the best and then SMART LIST-2 is traditional yet elegant and most popular ways to show listicles.
I am still unsure, how on this earth, your amazing team decided to use just only one option for the smart list on mobile theme and that STYLE-7, it just kills the speedy experience of using mobile theme.
Tell me if you don’t agree ?
Now what’s the option I have… other than to switch off this amazing mobile theme? How can I use STYLE-1 or STYLE-2 on mobile ?
Should I wait for the next update because dozens of threads are demanding for the same thing which I am asking for here.

When updating from newspaper 4, you have to follow this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ (bottom section) and also: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
The social counter plugin also needs updating.
The child theme needs to be removed altogether as all of the code was changed since newspaper 4. The customization needs to be re-created on the new code.

Please make sure that you update the plugin according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ also during the update process deactivate all other plugins, just to make sure that there is no conflicts.
If the process fails again try to update the plugin via ftp. First you need to unzip js_composer.zip file on your computer: http://screencast.com/t/hjDVsWANdx After this process login on the server via ftp, navigate to https://xxxxxxxxx/wp-content/plugins and delete js_composer folder if there is such a folder. Next step is to upload js_composer folder from your computer then go to your dashboard and activate the plugin.

Please notice that the JetPack plugin is a more complex plugin and not all of their module are working as properly with our theme, sorry! Please notice that I have added this remark to our list of fixes and in a future update it is possible but we cannot say for sure if it will get done in the next update because we have a big list of fixes, improvements, and suggestions to implement. It’s hard to filter them and select which one gets implemented now and which one gets postponed. The developers decide if it gets done or not, though.

If you use version 7.3 then you need to update your visual composer plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ and then also update the social counter by disabling and deleting files for your current plugin and installing it again from the main theme package you downloaded from envato (version 7.3)
