Please try to make a new update for your theme, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.

@sailingchance, I have noticed that you are using an older version of the theme and that’s why your Social Counter is not working. First of all, please try to make a full backup to all your data and then try to update the theme to the latest version of it -> Newspaper 7.2, Social Counter 4.1 and Visual Composer 4.12 Please notice that the theme is in constant development and you keep pace with updates for better results.

The simple and surest method to update your theme is the following one. First of all, please try to make a full backup for your all data to rule out the way to lose your website. Then, you will have to download the latest packet from Theme Forest after you have logged in your account and then via FTP try to update your theme. Hi, I updated my theme manually like you guys suggested in the documentation video – delete the current theme, activate another one and then upload and activate the latest version of Newspaper.
The problem is, I have several problems now.
My site is: http://ultimatehomelife.com/
1) Two menus appear. The vertical main menu isn’t supposed to be there (never was before I updated the theme) while the horizontal menu is fine.
2) Text appears behind the logo I uploaded, while it wasn’t there before update. There should just be the logo, no text.
3) 2 search buttons appear (next to and below the horizontal main menu) – there should only be 1.

I have updated the theme to 7.2 but it causing double menus and the logo image is overwritten with text! This is my second attempt as I had to use a back up previously but would like this theme updated

My mobile theme through this theme isn’t working probably. The footer is entirely different than my normal desktop footer. How do I customize this on the mobile theme? Also, the search button and menu doesn’t work on the mobile theme, as well. How do I fix this? Also, on the desktop theme, when I search within my website (JordanKranda.com), the featured image of the blogs cover the text of the blog title, so I am unable to see what the whole title of the blogs are. Everything was working fine until this past update included the mobile theme. Even if I just disable the mobile theme, it actually gets worse. Before you added the mobile theme, everything was fine.

I am having a problem with the Instagram portion of the social counter. Everything else works, but insta is registering “0.” I am using version 3.1 of the plugin, but cannot figure out how to update. The plugin says we’re up to date. How can I update to 4.1 as mentioned above?

But when I go to the download screen there are 2 choices:
1) All files
2) WordPress file only
For the upate and I supposed to choose download and install all files or do I choose WordPress files only?

Hi there,
I´ve just updated to Newspaper 7.2 ´cos I received the info recently. What are the changes? This question is generally, since every time I get an update notificiation I update but don´t know why or what ecacctly has changes (security, feature???). The general theme doc doesn´t reflect recent changes as per indiduvual change. Could you please document in a short video and or post everytime you update the theme, so that we are in the know?

Please notice that you must have every time a full backup for your data because if you will update the theme, all your customization might be lost. I think that you are aware of your additional customizations and you should be able to add them in style.css file, in the exact place where the original colour has been added by the theme by default. You can provide your website URL so I can inspect it closer.

We have just noticed that since that latest update 7.2 our Smart Lists are counting wrong. Instead of 1-5 they show 2-6, or instead of 1-10 it is 2-11…

You have right, they are any cutomisations in Theme Panel -> Custom Code.
I´ve changed that to the style.css and its the same.
If I revert the Theme in default settings (or better I take the newest Update), what is with my customisations?
They are many in the styles.css, in some modules, in the header, in the includes and so on.

Yes, this could be a reason in this regard. Please notice that you will have to use the Newspaper Child theme version which comes bundled with the new update in order to achieve best results in theme. You will have to try to copy all the customization from your old child theme and then paste them in the new version of the Child theme and check the results.

Please try to update your theme only through FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. For people,the freshness of content always matters. So, I’m experimenting to replace the meta info from loop-single.php and successfully changed it to “Last updated on: X/Y/Z” on every single posts. However, I see that for each and every module I have to edit the meta info code in order to replace the publish date with the last modified time.
So, basically, I know how to do that. But, was wondering if you could let me know a single file which I can modify once to replace dates everywhere on the site from the published date to the last modified date.
P.S: Using the Instant WordPress. Not trying it on a live site. So, feel free to share what you feel may work out for me to replace the dates site-wide from date of publish to the last modified date.
