Select the “More” Tweet action under the Tweet text and select “Embed Video” to generate HTML markup to include on your webpage.

The test server I am using has not been updated to PHP 5.4 which the Twitter plugin required. My live site does have 5.4 so I will test on the live server and see if that makes a difference. I was trying to keep my plugins to a minimum so I had not installed the Twitter plugin.

Hi Bogdan.

Just a quick update:

Regenerated all the thumbnails, and that fixed the existing images. I’ll try and add a new image now and see if the error still persists when added new images.

I’ve used 1920×1080 images for all testing so images are not being enlarged.

Just did some load testing. Using PHP 7, Apache 2.4.18 and MariaDB 10.1. Blazing fast compared to the old PHP5 + MySQL solution. (8 CPU, 20 GB RAM)

Hi. I have images Link To Media File. They are not featured. How to make them appear in lightbox as in newsmag demo ? Update : I found: enable GENERAL MODAL IMAGE.

but… what SEO effect has if I have enabled this or not ? The same ? Images are affected on posts, or something ? Better with or without lightbox ?

Hi, thank you, I don’t need custom services, I just need to know the steps for adding new icons. I believe you answered my question with the links you provided, but I have a few follow-up questions.

First, when you showed the alteration to the php file in the screenshot, you showed the alteration being made to the Newspaper file itself, rather than a Newspaper-child file – won’t that mean the changes get lost when the theme is updated?

Second, when you linked to the icon for Whatsup with a code in the CSS, I’m not sure where you got that code as the Whatsup icon. Where can I find the list of icons and their associated codes that I can refer to for this?

One update, Can you also tell how to make that blue color on right side of header go till the end. So that it will be of full width.

you don’t need to do anything with the theme at this time, as the plugin being updated by Automattic is theme agnostic and they have the manpower and connections with Google and are keeping it moving forward for their VIP clients (e.g., TIME magazine, etc.).

Newsmag and Newspaper both WORK with the plugin just fine, so at this time nothing theme authors need to “do” as long as nothing being injected into header to “break” the /amp/ functionality.

Example with Newsmag (a few versions back, and not fully optimized due to me messing with mod_pagespeed and trying to move server to https/2 and realizing we need full OS reload, which I’m not quite ready to do yet due to having to offload all sites, update server, then reload sites! UGH!!!)::

So, at this time — I’m “suggesting” you might make this thread a sticky one, and/or add to tutorials as you will be getting a lot of forum posts on this as Google rolls this out ostensibly for March 1.

Nobody “has to do this” — but many folks will “want to do this” — hence my adding this thread so we don’t see 50 posts next month on this same topic 😉

Yes how you’re describing is exactly how I have it set up. If I have the child theme activated, even if I haven’t updated any files in the child theme, the content on the left spans the full width and the Widgetised Sidebar (via Visual Composer) shifts below. If I just deactivate the child theme, the Widgetised Sidebar (via Visual Composer) fills in the correct place.

There is no malware in the theme files, for anybody curious about that topic.

However
a) some security scanners on your PC/Mac (Avast) may trigger false positive
b) some PCI-DSS scanners may find false positive with some plugins active — we ran into this with our old ecommerce software (not running WP; they thought we had some kind of vulnerable email script, just because a plugin had same “name” … when it clearly was NOT the known exploit malware app)

Note:
TagDiv scans products prior to upload, based on their past posts – and does not inject any bad code
and,
ThemeForest scans everything when put into the download system, hence delay between TagDiv uploading an update and it becoming available to us.

Google Malware Warning:
If you get a “real” Google malware warning, and not a phishing popup; CHECK YOUR SEARCH CONSOLE (webmaster tools) on the malware tab as it will *confirm* if they have scanned a vulnerability on your site.

Be aware however, sometimes Chrome and Google may list this in search results — and still be false positive.

That issue occurred after WordPress released V 4.4.1. but in last theme update we fix it. You can use theme’s path and update only the modified files. I’ve noticed that you’re using V 2.2 of the theme. In this case you need to go trough every path from 2.2 until 2.3.5 and update the modified files.
Before making any changes make sure you do a full backup to the current wp install and also the database. This is a security measure, in case something goes wrong you can always get back to the previous install.
