Thank you for the quick reply. The any custom change I want to save is the login/register box. We had the “username” field taken out so people login in through their email instead of user name. Where can I find this file? I am assuming if I save this file before the the update, then upload the file after upload it should be good correct?

Yes, it is recommended to disable the plugin and delete files before installing the new version.

Hello, thanks. I don’t use photon. But above all, the matter is that the problem occurred suddenly, from one day to the other one, without any change on our website but the wordpress update. I tried to come back to the previous one, but nothing have changed.
Concerning the pictures, we are used to add them from the wordpress media gallery where we put them in. For example, this article, the first image works with the “lightbox” effect, but the other ones don’t work. I have already tried to remove the code that you could see and which was different from your screens, but nothing changed. ( the link http://radiodisneyclub.fr/once-upon-time-saison-5-hook-pomme/ )
Moreover, once the picture doesn’t work, it doesn’t work everywhere on the website. I changed the theme thanks to a website of development, but the problem occurs only with the Newspaper theme.

I’d just make some modifications to file Newsmag CSS file style.css and, in the past, I’ve already made these modifications in a Newsmag child theme. But after the last updates it seems no more supported because, for example, the simply copy of the original file in the Newsmag-child theme root directory causes malfunctioning to the site (i.e. icons in the top header menus and icons all over the siste are no more correctly displayed and only their placeholders are visualized. Moreover, from your documentation page, in the Child theme support section, I see that the file style.css is not in the list of files that can be overwritten by a child theme: is it correct? Should I really redo by hand all my code customizations to Newsmag/style.css file at every Newsmag update (and it happens quite often)?

If you need to reinstall the theme to bring it to the default values, you can simply delete the theme and install it again via ftp as the settings/ posts/ pages are kept in the database and will not get deleted.
You can follow this tutorial to install via ftp. You can update the theme with this occasion as you use an older version that has a few issues with the current version of WP. Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and use the ftp method.
You also need to check the theme panel – custom code section to see if there is no custom code st in there that you might not want anymore.

after my last Newsmag theme update, I’ve applied again the code modification you’ve suggested in order to display the 970×90 custom ad under the category post grird (please read the above reported previous thread exchanges. It worked perfectly until the last theme update: now, the same modification doesnt’ work anymore (please see the malfunctioning at http://43b.60a.myftpupload.com/category/sport/calcio/)
What I have to do to display that custom advertising ad_box in the desired space i.e. under the category’s post grid?

unfortunately this is a problem with visual composer. We will have to wait until they update the plugin and it’s elements. As for the tabs, visual composer does not support tabs inside an accordion and the option will not even show up if you try to create it.

This is because the visual composer plugin was updated since the video was made and that panel got modified as well. This is the new look they gave the plugin and unfortunately the visual style of the templates was not possible anymore so they are now text menu items.

Hello… i have a problem with the “td-demo-header-menu”
After the update (6.6.3 ) when i try to change the menu… add some menu items, delete or rename category – sub … then i lost the last category and subcategories items and the menu dissapeared form the theme… I must choose again the menu place of this menu….

Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option to add the video from YouTube or Vimeo for your background. You have some settings for video background in Visual Composer and you can add it only for ROW like this -> http://screencast.com/t/xW8dphtON7 Please try to find some plugins with this functionality and see how it works for you.
I have added your suggestion to our list of features and we hope that in the future update to implement this in the theme. It is tricky because we have a long list of suggestions and our developers are able to decide wich are important and wich are not to be implemented according to clients ‘ requests.

It seems the issue is not the theme. Please try to update your theme to the latest version, then try it without any plugins. Disable all of them except visual composer and clear cache (reset cdn if you use it).

You can make a back-up of loop-single 7. Simply copy it on your desktop and after the update simply replace the one on your server with it.

Hello! I have a strange issue with sidebars on posts. When I select the Default or Style 5 post template, the sidebar displays with no problem at all and also the smart sidebar works fine. Look here: http://www.mizonadeportiva.com/2014/12/02/dos-gigantes-se-desafian-uno-al-otro/
But when I select any other post template the sidebar does not appear, it does appear at the bottom of the Post content and in the left (when smart sidebar is active the sidebar only appears when scrolling back to the top of the post).
I’ve already tried disabling all plugins, creating new sidebars and nothing works. I also did a correct update and also tried on Chrome, Safari and Firefox, they all display the same issue. Any help?
