Thank you for the suggestion. We endeed have non-english characters in the titles of some of our forms, but not in our testing environment[1]. I’ll try to update to the latest versions and get back to you.

Posts and pages and other settings that are kept in the database will not be affected by the update. Their styling is a different matter. Css has changed and probably the post template will not be the one from your old version anymore so it will require a bit of work to adjust the settings for them.

During the update process the old files are replaced by the new theme files so if you made any customizations this will be lost. You have to keep track your customizations and after update re-add them again in theme files.

Unfortunately we haven’t solved the problem: we don’t have that Post Setting checkbox, in the Screen Options, you have showed me. I’ve just updated the theme to the 6.6.4 and nothing has changed.

Unfortunately there is no option for content fading. It will have to be made custom. If you need this option I’m afraid you will have to hire a freelancer to help out because we cannot offer any custom work at the moment as we work hard on development. updates, fixes and support

The easiest way you can see the theme version in the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/hdV3VpOp14
If you do not have custom modifications applied to the theme files (except the ones placed in the theme panel) then you can simply delete your theme and copy over the new version as your settings will not get affected.(Unless you update from newspaper 4. Then it gets a bit more complicated)

The only place to add custom code in our theme is inside the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/FSRmJJ14
If any of these places do not apply to your modification, then a child theme is the only other option. (If you use a child theme you will have to check the modified files in the new version and if the header and footer files are changed, you will have top add the code again. It is not a definitive method but it will save you some time on a few updates like the last fixes for the new WP versions)

Please notice that the CSS are working only for the padding-bottom. As I said you above, you cannot change the left-right paddings-margins because these settings are preset by default by the Visual Composer and if you want to change these option, you will risk spoiling the layout.

Please ensure you have the ultimate version of the child theme and otherwise please update it with the one that come with our theme.

As I am about to make a switch, I see a new update today. Downloaded also. Good, but which one should I install? I mean install the first one that I just purchased and downloaded and then update it or straightaway install the new update? Of course, common sense tells me install the updated one but when it comes to WordPress themes quite often common sense doesn’t bring a desired result :-). Pl advise.
UPDATE: the pagination issue may be from a bug that was introduced in WordPress 4.4.1: https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/35344 from that bug report it seems that they will fix it in WordPress 4.4.2 . Until they fix it, our solution should work as a fix.
