Hi,
Please make sure that you have update your theme properly, by removing the old theme(like it is specified in the documentation – make sure that no old files will remain ) as Newspaper 6 must be regarded like a new theme so make sure that old files will not remain as it could cause some issues – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and update also the plugins that come with the theme files. Also please check this only with Visual Composer active, disable all other plugins and clear cache and purge your files if you use CDN.
Please provide a link so we can take a look if you still have this issue.

I think it disappeared with the recent theme update.
I went in and put the coding in again but it won’t show.
I was having problems with my social counter because I was running v4.6.1, so I tried to update to 4.6.2 but I killed my site.
First I tried to update via the envato wordpress toolkit, it installed and I entered my username and API but it would just display an error message and I couldn’t progress to the update page.
So instead I followed the tutorial and switched to another theme while I downloaded, installed and activated the new 4.6.2 Newspaper.zip. This installed but now a message appeared on each page warning that social counter had to be updated, I tried to but it still wouldn’t go away.
I then switched to another theme, delted VB, Social counter and slider and reinstalled and activated 4.6.2 which stopped the warning message, but now no images were displaying on the site and the front page was displaying in just VB code.
I decided to uninstall 4.6.2 theme and reinstall the original 4.6.1 newspaper.zip but this killed my site completely.

It has a fatal error, I can’t login or anything. Is it possible to recover (Didn’t backup do doubt it) or would it be better to just delete everything and start again?

Since the 6.2.1 update of course the hack in CCS disappear.
So I did what you told me and another time remove the line with table width 100% line.
In panel custom CSS, it already have:
.table { border: 0; width: 200px; cellspacing:0; cellpadding:10; align:right; }
But now the table still are in 100% and not in 200px large.

Can there be an option in a future theme update to allow HTML in the bios? This way we don’t have to re-edit page-author-box.php in the future.
If the setting could be set for specific users (or, turned on by default for admins only) that would be awesome.

You can update the VC plugin to the latest version which is 4.5.3 and see if it happens again. To obtain it you can send us an email with a request for it and we will send it to you, use contact@tagdiv.com and also include a link to this tread.

That error is from Visual Composer, we also open a ticket at the plugin support regarding this and we hope it will be fixed in the next update.
Please make sure that you use the latest version of the theme 6.2 and make sure that you update also the child theme to this version, you can find it in the /code folder, as this issue was fixed and the Big Gris should not appear like this anymore.

Then please run the script, it will import old settings from database and it will change the shortcodes(it is specified in the docs) – http://screencast.com/t/eZxxuqvsTir Unfortunately you will have to re-add widgets on your sidebars, some of them may not be imported or don’t exist anymore, also please note that if you have custom modifications to the theme files or custom css it will not work with new version.

The built in featured image support also works with gif images which also appear in theme’s modules and blocks.
The theme’s lightbox was designed to work for posts images, and it doesn’t work on woocommerce products description section.
In the future updates we plan to add this modal view as a global settings and we will also consider this if possible.

About the blank pages you should not have this issue as those pages are automatically added when the demo is installed. Did you get any errors when you have installed the demo? Unfortunately this file will be overwritten when you will update the theme. A solution is to use child theme as style.css file can be overwritten by child theme files. You can find the child theme, if you want to install it, in /code folder from package that you downloaded from themeforest – https://forum.tagdiv.com/whats-included/

Mine is ~73 too. I followed the guidelines and use WP Rocket as caching solution, but the speed is still slow, especially on mobile.
Maybe we will see in the next update some improvement, but I don’t Know.
