Hello, @llaporte!
Please check in Newspaper -> Plugin and see if you have installed and activate all necessary plugins, as well as the Standard Pack plugin.
In the latest update of the theme, the twitter icon should be the new one(desktop/mobile).
Please execute these steps:
1. disable TagDiv Composer
2. uninstall(delete) TagDiv Composer
3. install TagDiv Composer
4. activate TagDiv Composer
If the problem is still there, then contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the following:
– admin url and credentials
– cpanel url and credentials
– a link to this topic in order to identify you
We will take a look and try to help you asap.
Thank you!
hi team,
i have some troubles with the tagdiv composer after an upgrade von 12.2 to 12.6.1.
TagDiv Composer
Ajax error
An error occurred and we could not finish the process.
Please manually update the plugins."
Maybe its my php version 7.3.33 (which isn’t updatable at the moment) or something other.
After upgrade my page goes to in wordpress recovery mode and reported an issue with tagdiv composer.

Is it possible to downgrade to newspaper 12.2 and than migrate to another server with actually version of php and mysql?
thanks a lot
Have emailed you as requested, I’d really appreciate an update.
I have provided your team with full access, can I get an update on their progress, please?
Can I get an update on this, please?
If you want to update the theme, you should download the latest version of it from Theme Forest account and download it.
Please make a full backup to all files and database => https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAJXrSI-dDA
Here you can find information about the changes that have occurred in each update over time https://tagdiv.com/newspaper/
I recommend that you update the theme manually https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ via FTP/cPanel/File Manager, also if possible disable extra plugins during the theme update to avoid any problems that may arise and make sure that you have activated the tagDiv Standard pack plugin to keep the website’s look. You can try to update the theme on a staging website.
After you update the theme, you need to update the theme plugins too.
In the worst cases, the settings in the theme panel may be lost (there have been isolated cases), in these cases, after the theme plugins that were previously used are activated, you will have to use a backup for the theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
Also, if you want, you can contact our custom work team here and they can help you to update the theme safely: https://tagdiv.com/premium-customization-services/
Thank you!

Hi,
after the Update from Version 12.5.1 to Version 12.6.1 only the Website Logo and Search Icon (Magnifier) ist visible. I already deactivated additional Plugins. Going back to Versison 12.5.1 everything works fine again but updating to Version 12.6.1 the problem is back. The Plugins tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud Library are up to date and activated.
I’m really at a loss here and help is very much appreciated ?
Kind Regards
Holger
Hello,
I have just updated my Newspaper from a very old version to the latest version few days ago.
But after a few days, I found that the date of my post is not shown in the Google search result, but before the update, the date is shown normally, may i know how to fix it?
I’m using Yoast SEO, and I’ve turned off ENABLE ARTICLE SCHEMA in Newspaper Post setting.
Hello Rahul!
It seems that you have a sticky header. Please follow the video to see where you can find and build your sticky header on mobile and desktop too: https://www.screencast.com/t/l6v2Belt
We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.
Delete all the cache and see the results.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please provide more details, with the link to your website and screenshots.
Using our theme you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
If you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer, then when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
So, the mobile responsive is what you see then that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
The Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin cannot.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page, you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.
Thank you!
Hello,
I think that you are referring that after the theme update the website displays shortcodes, if is so, then this is because some theme plugins were not installed, in this case I think it is related to tagDiv Composer plugin. The theme plugins can be installed from Newsmag > plugins – https://i.imgur.com/EQmf6Ix.png
Thank you!
Good morning,
Since updating from version 12.5.1 to version 12.6.1 there is a problem with the layout of the home page. I designed my home page with WPBakery. On the version viewed on a mobile everything is fine but on the Desktop version the HomePage Post block does not appear.
Also, the X share icon, formerly Twitter, is different on the Desktop version than on the mobile version. The new icon is corrected on the Desktop version but not on the version viewed from a phone. I don’t use the mobile plugin.
Also, the Social counter plugin still displays the old Twitter logo and not X. When are you going to update?
My website is mesplaisirs.com
I cleared all caches and nothing works like before. I really want to go back to version 12.5.1 even if the X logos are not up to date, at least everything else worked very well.
Please take my comments into consideration to improve the situation and your product.
Thank you in advance,
Luc Laporte
Please advise How to Create Child Theme? So that we do not lose our customizations
Because whenever we update the parent theme, all of our changes would be overwritten.
Hi,
After updatet newsmag theme in my website http://www.korneri.net the theme is not showing
Can you help me
Thank you
Hi Bettina,
Can you look a little deeper into this?
1. Yes I understand the child theme is not overwritten, I’m asking for guidance about why we would get a critical error from this line of code in it’s header.php – perhaps related to #2? It is related to general issue of the update breaking the site, child theme or not.
This is the code:
/*
* loads the header template set in Theme Panel -> Header area
* the template files are located in ../parts/header
*/
td_api_header_style::_helper_show_header();
This is the error:
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class “td_util” not found in /srv/htdocs/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp-booster/wp-admin/tagdiv-view-header.php:19 Stack trace: #0 /srv/htdocs/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp-booster/wp-admin/tagdiv-view-theme-plugins.php(59): require_once() #1 /srv/htdocs/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp-booster/tagdiv-wp-booster-functions.php(499): require_once(‘/srv/htdocs/wp-…’) #2 /wordpress/core/6.3.1/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(310): {closure}(”) #3 /wordpress/core/6.3.1/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(334): WP_Hook->apply_filters(”, Array) #4 /wordpress/core/6.3.1/wp-includes/plugin.php(517): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #5 /wordpress/core/6.3.1/wp-admin/admin.php(259): do_action(‘newspaper_page_…’) #6 {main} thrown in /srv/htdocs/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp-booster/wp-admin/tagdiv-view-header.php on line 19
#2. We have all dependent plugins. Below is what the shortcodes look like that are appaering everywhere – they look related to the composer, which we have installed & activated, and the new version from the theme update. My theory is that because we are making such a jump in theme versions, we’re missing one of the intermediate updates that performed some sort of action that converted them in td composer during a previous update. Can you please ask your dev team?

Thank you for your help. My email was answered and taken care of. Apparently, it was addressed with the latest theme update (10/5) and it has corrected the issue. I was told (for others) that it is quite rare to happen because it only affected cases when the ID of the post was identical to the ID of a tag. I updated the theme this morning and all is back to normal!
Hello ,
Already check guide and suggestion but not found any solution.
child theme is mandotary because if parent theme updated then my customisation changes gone.
Please look into this on an urgent basis.
I solved the problem on my own and spent the whole night in front of the terminal eradicating the threat by cleaning the db and the corrupt files, hoping that everything is working now. Now, unfortunately I’m here to say that this theme has a very serious security problem (for many years) on plugins that are not secure. One of these is the composer plugin and from all the updates you send it is never able to be definitively resolved. Most malfunctions and attacks happen through your plugins! Unfortunately there is also the matter of the speed of the site which is very slow and always due to heavy elements.
I’m really sorry to write it here in this discussion because I’ve been purchasing the template for years but now, before recommending it to some of my clients I’ll think about it more.

Hello!
Follow this guide to clean your WordPress and theme of malware: https://askwpgirl.com/10-steps-remove-malware-wordpress-site/
In the latest update, you won’t have any issues because the new versions of the theme are not compromised.
But if you do not solve the issues before the update, then of course the issue will persist there.
Thank you!
Hello!
Follow this guide to clean your WordPress and theme of malware:
https://www.wordfence.com/docs/how-to-clean-a-hacked-wordpress-site-using-wordfence/ or https://askwpgirl.com/10-steps-remove-malware-wordpress-site/
1. The child theme is not overwritten by the update. An issue for that could be the compatibility of your child theme with the new version of our theme(if you use some files which were updated).
2. A code in your frontend is appearing only when you have a plugin uninstalled when it should be installed, so instead of the code, it will display the element from that plugin. Check in Newspaper -> Plugins (the Standard Pack plugin).
Thank you!
Hi,
We tested the version, and the only issue on your website was that you didn’t install a plugin with all the suggestions that I gave you. I don’t know how you made the update; maybe you didn’t deactivate the extra plugins during the update process.
Thank you!
Hello, update version 12.6.1 in Newspaper, crashes all my site: Blog columns, WooCommerce, and in some cases, page structure. I have never had any issue with this theme, so, when you will launch new version?
