I’m not sure if this will work though as it seems it hasn’t been updated from more that 2 years.
I suggest you also try to find a solution for this online as I’m not sure how you could do that or if you could.

After updating theme to version 4.6.2 from 4.6.1 and try to update new visual compozer my homepage shows this :

There is any way to update the newspaper theme without loosing any costumization and without using ftp?
I already installed the Envato WordPress Toolkit but when i press on update gives me an mensage box telling that all the customizations will be lost.

hi, after update the theme in latest version in admin menu created a new tab with name: grid element but cannot create something inside, maybe no working???

I updated Newsmag to 1.6, and I also updated td-speed-booster plugin.
But after I remove the old plugin, and install a new one.
There are 2 speed booster in WordPress –> Plugin, one is 3.2 and another is 4.0
4.0 is activated and 3.2 is not activate.
When I remove it, WP will show td speed booster 2 times.
Is that a bug?

Please make sure that you have this settings like above when you create megamenu. I tested this with latest version of theme(1.6) so please update your theme using this guide(FTP method): https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-theme/ also update the plugins that come with the theme files. Let me know how it goes!

The first time I tried the update was with the Envato updater – but had to delete theme and Visual Composer plugin to get the site back. I did follow your instructions here in the forum 5 times and still the only way it works without breaking site is with taking out Jetpack and Wordfence which are two plugins that were previously working with 1.5 version and now does not work with your new version 1.6…
What will you be doing about compatiblity with mainstream plugins like these because they are critical for users.

I have spent two hours working on the compatibility issues with my site and the newest 1.6 Newsmag theme and Visual Composer –
It does not work with the latest versions of Jetpack or Wordfence – two critical plugin tools that I need for my site.

I love this theme but it seems that each time you have updated there is much work that has to be put back into the site including the widgets and sidebars – I am getting frustrated.
I updated the theme using Envato Auto update and updated the Visual Composer plugin and my website went away – leaving a blank page.

I tried to get my site back and the only way I can is to delete the new visual composer plugin – but it breaks the site without it. I am not sure what to do now – everything worked beautifully before this update!

We have disabled the ajax count and have seen some improvement in speed, but still not as fast as we would want it to be. We will run another server test either today or tomorrow to se if there is less calls…

okay here are two screen shots … note I’m using iPad Air, which has “retina” screen, so would apply to all “modern” iPads (v3, v4, air, air 2). I know it works a little different than simply dragging in side of browser, as that was throwing me too for testing — hence why I always check stuff on the pesky little devil 🙂
okay screen shot 1 shows the way the add coupon and update cart fall kind of funky with the latest iteration of WooCommerce, due to their finally somewhat standardizing their darn buttons. Now everybody’s corrections for that kind of need to be undone.

Seems like I also need to apply the same button 18px fix for the ‘proceed to checkout’ so that’s it’s CLEAR what to do NEXT.

and this is the other thing I want to change to some kind of image icon — or something which is better, even if it’s just a 8 pixel solid color line on left side (e.g., | vs box)
I guess I can edit this in the style.css … but am “suggesting” some kind of (i) or [i] for info glypicon or something that is not so bland — a box that looks like it could be a checkbox, or something doesn’t scream (INFO!).
So, probably easiest thing is
a) how to REMOVE the little box which I think you did purely with CSS box/border in the style, to be “before” the “info” text element from woo.
b) add font awesome icon span to CSS style sheet — and I can load fontawesome fonts — or, if you have something better in your built-in glyph font (the one used for search spyglass, etc.) that we could insert into that slot in the style.css – that would be awesome (as we still say in California!). 🙂

We use Optimize Press plugin to build our sales and membership pages. I am trying to get the Newspaper theme to work well with it these pages.
The only thing that seems to be off that I notice so far is that on the pages built with optimizepress it adds

Optimize Press has a plugin where you can disable any CSS or JS on these pages by theme or plugin. I have disabled the Theme JS and CSS on these pages and it still has not fixed the issue.
Any ideas on this?
