I really don’t like W3 TOTAL Cache plugin all it do is messed up your site,the best cache plugin to used is “WP Super Cache”.

When i first bought this theme postviews was working great,till the last update of this theme last week,i’m not using no W3 CACHE plugin are no postviews plugin,something was done to the update last week of this theme that make post views stop working…

Am facut update la ultima versiune a temei (v3.8.3.1) si acum apar secvente de genul [vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"] in toate paginile din site.

Am dezactivat toate plugin-urile sa vad daca intra in conflict cu vre-unul din ele, dar nu s-a schimbat nimic.

Te rog sa ma ajuti sa rezolv aceasta problema.

Could you fix that problem in next update? by reason of that after every update, i have to add latin-ext coding. i was under the impression that many of your newspaper users want that..

Could you please add in your ZIP more than only 1 minor release patch? i’ve had the same problem; the last two patches were too fast to get&install them sequential

Yes well that’s exactly what I did…exported theme settings, upgraded theme, updated the VC plugin and imported theme settings back in…all VC templates are gone.

Is there something I’m missing? It’s irritating that all this work has to be done again for each page, each and every time VC plugin is updated.

Hi, you should check your server is running gzip/deflate first, as this makes a huge difference as everything is compressed when sent to web browser. Looks like a bunch of your stuff coming off Cloudfront is not compressed enough.

Simplest way to compress all your NEW images is to edit your functions.php file (see my notes about this in the pagespeed sticky thread in forum), but downside you have to update this each time theme updated. Popular plugin: SmushIt.

Looking at your report, there are some fairly big files for that page …

But you should be compressing/optimizing your images in Photoshop or something BEFORE you upload them … e.g., you have

1) 233.9 kB image
2) 115.9 kB image
3) 120.1 kB image

typically you shouldn’t see images larger than maybe 50kb if done right. I try to keep my article featured images no more than 25-35kb for example.

You might try scanning your page here

as it will tell you how and which images are too large on your page!

YOu still have a great PageSpeed rating, though. 🙂
