We need to fix this issue ASAP. We have good traffic now, and we are using the Yoast TOC for most of the lengthy posts. This issue will affect the user experience of our site visitors and it may affect the traffic and revenue of the website. It would be great if you guys check the staging version of the website and give us a solution for this issue at the earliest. Waiting for a new update of the theme will lead to a delay in fixing the issue, that’s why. Please help us to solve this issue ASAP.

We’ve introduced the Manage License System, which can be seen in the latest update of the theme 11.4.3 in Newspaper -> My license. You can assign or unassign a domain from there.
The key will be automatically assigned to the first 2 websites where it was used. Then if needed you can unassign it and assign it to other websites.

UPDATE – REPHRASING MY INITIAL POST
I’m optimizing the layout to accommodate for the most popular current and future ad formats, as well as great usability for the users on each device.
By digging in the CSS code I’ve found these min and max widths
A) max-width:500
B) max-width:767
C) min-width:768 & max-width:1018
D) min-width:1019 & max-width:1140
E) min-width:1141
1) However, there are 4 viewport devices in the builder. Which correspond to which?
Is desktop D or is it E?
Which one is mobile? A or B?
2) I want to optimize the desktop site for 1,326 pixels wide, so it looks great on super resolutions as well as the popular 1,366Ă—768.
970 content + 20 padding + 336 sidebar = 1326px which leaves 40px on the sides for browser UI and scrollbar.
So I’ve set the desktop zone width to 1,326 pixels.
Maincontent = 970px with 10px right margin instead of using padding on the row.
Sidebar = 336px with 10px left margin instead of using padding on the row.
These settings look excellent on desktop.
In the builder I can select:
Stretch row and 1,200px content = too small.
Stretch row and 1,400px content = too big.
How does what I select here affect my layout of 1,326 pixels?
3) For the smaller than desktop devices I will want to keep the 20px padding (right/left margin of 10px) in between the content and the sidebar.
The sidebar would ideally be 336px or the smaller 300px version.
How do I calculate how much to set the zone width to in those viewports?

Hi I’m still using the Post #7 template from the original theme with custom sidebars in appearance/widgets – and have many different sidebars. The latest update broke all the Blocks in the widgets. Do I have to convert all my posts to a new template? Is there an easy way to do this that won’t take hours? TY

Please let us know if you got a solution for the same. So we can update it with that before getting an update. We have a lot of visitors to our website and the issue in the TOC will be a problem for the user experience and post-content navigation and it will affect our website. So kindly check and find a solution ASAP. Please let us know the update ASAP even if the error is found or not. We think that’s a conflict between the tagDiv Composer andTagDiv Cloud Library plugin. We can see that the TOC is working if we deactivate any of the mentioned plugins and not working if both plugins are activated.

Thank you so much for this explainer! This was very helpful information. I have been able to get the black menu/search bar back down below the logo like we had it prior to all the updates. However, it will not let me add the search icon back to the right hand side of the black bar. Any advice on this please?
Well, it’s like copying the code referring to the block and pasting it elsewhere, but I don’t think it’s the solution, they should provide the option to import and export for the next update, I think that for a professional theme it’s the most correct and competitive.

We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page. Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Hello, I have a problem when trying to put a background to the header and footer, the images that I put look very poor quality and pixelated.

You can try to update the theme on a staging website.
After you update the theme, you need to update the theme plugins too.

Hey. We have old 9.5 for newspaper and if I update it to newest all tools and layout goes down. So I have to use old version or build new site. There is now an issue that widget section doesnt load, its like blanc page? Do you have idea how to fix it ?

Yes, you can update the theme directly. You can try to do the update on a staging website to not affect the live website.
Also, please try to update the theme without extra plugins activated during the installation, as this may interfere with the installation process.
Also, after the update please make the tagDiv plugins are installed, like tagDiv Standard Pack, tagDiv Composer.
