In this case, you need to use the “one click update/activate plugins” from Welcome page or you update them manually. According to Envato’s requirements, this must be an user action.

Hi everyone!
We’ve tried to update our site (mundopositor.info) from Newspaper 10.4 to 11, twice times (last one to 11.1). Both times we got the following error and we had to restore the previous version:
PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘?’ in #####/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/includes/td_config.php on line 32641
This error affects both front and back, showing a fatal error. Once we manually uninstall td-composer plugin, we was able to access the frontend and dashboard views, but (obviously) the frontend content was a completely mess.
We tried to manually update that plugin (following this guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-how-to-update-a-plugin/), but we got the same error.
Finally, we decided to rollback changes and still using the Newspaper 10.4 version while we find a solution.
Any thoughts?
Further info:
We are running PHP 5.6.40 and we are not able to upgrade to a 7 version.
Our WordPress version is 5.8.

After updating Newspaper theme to version 11, including the plugins associated, the theme is no longer full width.
I cleared the cache and made a hard refresh, also changed the force full width settings, this made no difference. Please can you point me in the direction of the solution here. It is most probably something small I am missing. TX

Also please let me know what update method you have used? I’ve just teste the autoupdate method and all the tagdiv plugins I’ve had active, were updated and activated properly.

I’m glad you have managed to solve this issue! Have you updated using the autoupdate system or manually? Using the autoupdate method should update/activate the theme and the plugins which were active on the site. Using any other update method (WordPress, FTP), you will need to update the plugins using the “one click button” from the Welcome page.
I want to be sure there’s no problem here, so please provide as much info you can.

Please help. After the new update, i cant install tagDiv Composer plugin. Intalation always fails and it says: the destination directory already exists – plus adress. Im not sure if i can show it here. Ill if its nessesory.

I made the Newspaper 11.1 update of my Tatilciler.org site. Then I did the wordpress 5.8 update. And my site is broken. The image of the theme, homepage, header logo looks broken. It gives an error when clicking on the site articles.

I guess there is no need for lazy loading plugin for photos anymore. I think WordPress has done a good job for those who know how to use Photo Shop with its new update.
ok i solved unistalling prebuilt website. i was forced to install it because after update article were entely showed in mainpage but now i installed standard pack plugin and evrythin returned normal.
turning these needed plugins back on has made the site show some blocks as code:

Re-activating this plugin solved my errors.

Today I have updated this theme from 11 tot 11.1. I wish have never did that. The update destroyed the layout of all my postings and many errors are shown.

I confirm that tagDiv Shop plugin causes many erros indeed. Not stable with php 7.4. Mysql errors, unstable behaviour (cannot create new post, cannot update or delete plugins). I had to reinstall website 2 times before I realsed that this was causing the errors. I did not occure to me that something from tagDiv would be so buggy.
