Hi, after the last update of the theme, the “more about the author” button appeared in the related articles section, which I would like to delete, because in my site there is only one author, and the same identical articles appear in the “other in this category “, so it appears to be a duplicate. But in the theme management section, I didn’t find the sections to disable this option “more about the author”, which I’m not interested in. Thank you very much for every suggestion

Sorry to revive an old thread, I am having trouble updating TagDiv Cloud library.
I use to have my website with EasyWP by Namecheap. I had their support team transfer my wordpress Newspaper 9 theme to their Stellar shared hosting.
I then had them fix the database, looks like duplicator DB Maria was used to backup my site, i still have EASYWP access since i paid for it, so there’s a backup of my site there too– deleted the site from the EASYWP and the dns is correctly configured to look at stellar. either way, i deleted the site from EasyWP’s servers so to isolate contributing factors.
I updated Newspaper 9 to 10 and one by one updated the plugins. I could not get the TD cloud library to install as Newpaper theme thinks it needs to be installed and says it is required, however when i try to install is says it can’t because it already exists. I deleted the td cloud library plugin by FTP, then it was able to install but not activate. So i deleted the new td cloud library plugin folder by ftp and restored the previous one.
I also took note that the PHP demanded a higher limit so i had Namecheap fix that, however after doing so, the site is now a error 500.
I thought maybe it was td cloud library that was the problem so i deleted it, now i don’t have a website and am unaware of the ideal values.
This is what i had them fix before i ended up with just a blank error 500 page:
max_input_vars 1000 – the max_input_vars should be bigger than 2000, otherwise it can cause incomplete saves in the menu panel in WordPress. To see how you can change this please check our guide here.
SUHOSIN Installed SUHOSIN is installed – it may cause problems with saving the theme panel if it’s not properly configured. You have to increase the suhosin.post.max_vars and suhosin.request.max_vars parameters to 2000 or more. To see how you can change this please check our guide here.

Namecheap changed these values to:
The limits are now: max_input_vars = 2000
; suhosin.post.max_vars = 2500;

I did backup back because I lost also some content by update.

Hi, the problem is that after I updated Newspaper 9 to Newspaper X the website is slower. How is that possible???

It seems that maybe is something wrong with the setting in WP, or some plugin like WP Super cache? You tell me? What can I change in the settings of WP?
Yes and I know that I dont have cloudflare, but still cannot be slower that it was before…
We already use Cloud Templates for a lot of our pages, but we also use normal Pages still, etc. I’ve read through this link (https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-update-standard-pack-or-tagdiv-cloud-templates/), but is there some kind of step-by-step guide as to the things we need to do before we deactivate the Standard Pack? I think we are close to being able to do that, but I don’t want to do it too early.

Updates mean, and especially big ones like this transition from 9 to 10 can be a bit tricky and again, we are sorry for that.
First of all, the proper way to update the theme is via ftp or wordpress. You have to deactivate and remove the tagDiv Product ( Newspaper Theme & tagdiv plugins ). Don’t worry your data won’t be lost because all the informations that are on your website ( theme option, posts, etc) are stored in the database of your host.
! Important ! As a web developer I’ve learned that everytime you make an update, no matter what theme you use, what plugin or no matter how small of the update is you MUST have backup and a test site ( local host, live host, doesn’t matter ).
– The Standard pack: A pack that has the functionality of ” keeping alive ” the layout that have been until 9.8. Without standard pack you will have to move on the PRO layouts. The pro layouts DO offer greater speed. Also speaking of speed, a page speed is influenced by multiple factors like ( plugins, content, themes, etc. ) so sometimes you should not have great expectation of page speed if your website is for example full of videos who request urls from external links…
So if you want to have the website like before and do no changes on the design you will have to use standard pack.

I used the Envato Market plugin to update the theme to Newspaper X. But now when I try to add a new page and edit with TagDiv composer, I get at 404 page not found template and the following error: Error at zones: 5(models) : 4(dom). The model does not match the content Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)

I’ve just updated to Newspaper X and my goal is to inactivate the Standard Pack plugin and gain speed. But I’m already having issues with the Cloud Library. I’m only using one cloud element (the header) and it’s loading slower than if I don’t t use the cloud service at all.
It’s also loading the original Cloud header first before it changes to my customized header. This doesn’t look so nice. Is there a way to fix this? 🙂

I have updated using Envato Market plugin, it was smooth. None of my custom settings got changed. It works perfectly.
P.S. I am also a Newspaper theme customer.
