Hi,
The AMP HTML link since a few updates ago is with /?amp
Please check our documentation for amp -> https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
Also is look like you do not implement well the amp -> https://search.google.com/test/amp?id=B1jc4ieOHmMI-KyzE8vAFg
Please check this topic about mobile theme and amp content -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-not-working-properly-newspaper-v9-7-3/
Thank you!
Hi,
That would be correct unfortunately, some of the documentation is not valid anymore after the latest theme updates. We will try to update the existing documentation and also add more as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience.
The creative plugin should receive some more practical examples of what can be done with it, in the documentation you mention. Should also work properly with the latest theme as it is by default and with the code it contains initially. Maybe the modifications made to it are causing the problem you are having.
Thanks
Update on the above, the code is present but somehow it is not working have added the following – if ( ($inline_ad_paragraph == $p_open_tag_count) || ( 5== $p_open_tag_count) || ( 18== $p_open_tag_count) {
$show_inline_ad_at_bottom = true;
$content_buffer .= $this->build_post_content_ad_spot( $inline_ad, ‘inline_ad’, $inline_ad_title, $inline_ad_align);
Hi the above solution has stopped working with the recent theme update to 9.7. Above mentioned code is removed from the theme files in wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/state/single/tdb_state_single.php ->
Can you please share where is this code located so can add 1-2 more inline ads.
Thanks
Kanuj
I was using Thrive comments successfully until a recent update. It now works on mobile site but not desktop.
I contacted the plugin developer and they pointed me to this error message: https://cl.ly/98708d487da4
I understand Thrive Comments is not officially supported with the theme, but it’s frustrating to have a commercial plugin which worked previously and doesn’t work any longer.
Can this problem be fixed?
Hey Vlad,
I managed to update the theme to the latest version, with your tips. Awesome dude!
I’m going to figure out the new Cloud template library and Tagdiv Composer.
Cheers,
Thimo
hi, i see google adsense amp ads auto responsive. What do you think of that? Will an update come? or how can we do it until the update comes?
example new code in google adsense:
<amp-ad width="100vw" height=320
type="adsense"
data-ad-client="ca-pub-11111111111111111"
data-ad-slot="1111111111111111111"
data-auto-format="rspv"
data-full-width>
<div overflow></div>
</amp-ad>
in my amp page newspaper:
<amp-ad width="300" height="250" type="adsense" data-ad-client="ca-pub-11111111111" data-ad-slot="111111"></amp-ad>
Hello,
sorry, but I`m once again annoeyed about your updating policy and process. Again like in previous updates after updating our website http://www.cadzand-online.de the design of the site was crashed.
The site was built up in the past with WP Bakery Page Builder as we worked successfully with this tool with other websites and for other clients…we like the design of your theme…but – now the site is not any more working. So please help us to rebuild the site – we tried with activating/deactivating the tagDiv Composer – without success…
Thanks for your support,
Michael
Hi. I’ve been a big fan of thema newspaper. They have always been updating it constantly.
But these latest updates are negative. To have the mobile theme, you have to have activated the official AMP and you have to have activated the tagDiv Composer plugin… If we are looking for clean code, this is not the way!…. Greetings
Hi,
first of all, sorry for my bad english…
Since the last update of the theme. I have an error on one of my pages on the mobile theme (order confirmation page with the WooCommerce plugin). But when I turn off the mobile theme, everything works fine. That’s what I try to do to solve the problem, but without success:
– Update theme and tagdiv plugins manually
– Disable all plugins by leaving the parent theme, mobile theme, woocommerce and tagdiv composer.
– Creation of a new order confirmation page.
– Clean cache.
Here is the error:
https://www.screencast.com/t/wOhkmtXH
For information, the error is present on the parent theme as well as on the child theme. I am currently working locally. Do you have a solution for this bug?
Hi, since the latest update, the translations for mobile use isn’t working
Can I get an update on this? We’ve been living with this and trying to work around it with no success. What can I do to get you guys to take a look at this? I upgraded to 9.7…still doesn’t work. It’s clearly an impact on the Newpaper theme…as it’s working with every other theme I try. Please help đ
+1 … No update ?
Dear TagDiv staff,
as you know, in the category page, articles can be ordered by:
latest
featured posts
most popular
7 days popular
by review score
random
I was surprised from the beginning at not finding the chance to order them starting from the first one.
In our case this order could be very useful where some categories contains articles that are created to be read in sequence. We now have some categories where we had to put a link in the category description to the first article while below the first appearing are the last ones đ
This missing function also causes a problem because we had to invert the date of 30 posts in a private area (to let the first one appearing at the top), but by doing so, the button “next article” at the bottom of the article shows now the “previous article” of the list, while the button “previous article” actually shows the next article in the list.
Please don’t take it personally but I found this confusing and time consuming, I really hope you decide to consider adding that listing option to future updates.
Of course, in my opinion it would be really useful if from newspaper_themPanel_LayoutSettings_Categories area, we could choose in which order the single category has to show the posts, so that readers already find the posts in the right order as they reach the category. Otherwise, if “last one” is the default setting, reader would be required to change themselves the order but not the best UX in my case.
Thank you for your attention,
best regards
Angelo
I tried to install 9.7 using the guide (https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/). I already had TD composer switched on as I had built the previous homepage in it. After updating the theme files I then updated the plugins and the activated them. The result was a site that looked like it was missing most of its css.
I have reverted to a backed up version of the site in the mean time.
Hi,
Here are the theme and plugin versions:
Newsmag 2.3.5
Visual Composer 4.9
This is probably causing the problem, right?
How can I update them? It’s not showing that any updates are required.
Thanks in advance,
Sam
Hi,
How exactly can I update the demo? I am confused as to how to update the post names and pictures? Is there a useful resource anyone has that can help me update my site to make it a little more personable/ throw my own funk on it?
Thank you in advance
Hey Calin,
Any update if it will be possible to add content page to a page template ?
I use a “Table of contents” plugin that works great but noticed if I tried enabling the footer as a page rather then from the dropdown list my table of contents plugin output gets duplicated in the footer now.
I’d rather not get rid of the TOC plugin but I do want to update to use the new td elements for pages so I can customize them easier. Any way to fix this?
Managed to fix it. For anyone else who’s site suddenly stops working displaying error messages. I had to update my wordpress. Funny thing is updating it completely deactivated my theme and all my plugins. Ball arch but got everything back to normal. Happy days.
with the 9.7.2 version, the site worked fine, but after 9.7.3, I update the post template settings, but it does not work.
Default Post Template Settings

In Post Template Settings

But the post, not show this template

You can view the example post here
https://www.smartnesshealth.com/2019/05/21/benefits-of-our-proper-fitness-longevity-fitness-methods/
before the 9.7.3 update, the configuration of the post template worked well, the title of the publication appeared on the image well.
Thanks for you Help
I got your other update and will check with the player
any idea why the logo does not show on the mobile view? we can see only the text?
thanks.
Hi,
It worked, thanks.
We will test the theme further more to make sure there is no other bug before switching the themes.
Hope to implement these changes in future updates of Newspaper theme :).
Regards
Could you please advise regarding the Developer Info -> Creative Plugin compatibility with Newspaper 9.7.
Unfortunately the theme update requires a time-consuming rebuild (for me) and compatibility and outdated documentation is a hurdle. A specific issue is that a custom plugin based on a slightly modified td-creative-plugin inside developer Information is generating errors inside TD Composer (so that the page can’t be edited at all when the plugin is active).
My question is whether the tc-creative-plugin is completely compatible with 9.7 or whether the Developer Info is obsolete.
And a very specific request for the TagDiv team, inside your documentation it would be extremely useful to document the compatibility of each item/page. Currently it is frustrating as because of documentation which is not relevant, applicable, compatible with 9.7 Compatibility with 9.7 needs to be defined.
Hi there at TagDiv,
Hope not to make it to complicated, but I have two questions that are both related to implementing Adsense code in NewsPaper Theme (latest version 9.7). Been using the theme for two and a half years now andour newssite is growing rapidly thanks to your great theme for one. So great job.
That said: I use Automatic ads from Adsense and had pasted the code in between the <head> tags of header.php of the theme. Needless to say the when updated I had to implement that code again. Before v9.7 I implemented the code directly on different places on my pages through RAW HTML and that worked great. But since the last version this makes tagDiv Composer behave strange. I get my page in a kind of top bar of a few inches and have to scroll down. Normaly the page is screenwide, but not anymore.
What did I do?
1. removed all raw html code trough the classic editor from all pages. Now tagDiv Composer works great again
2. Added my Adsense code for automatic Ads in Theme Panel – Ads – Header Ads and all Article and Post Ads
3. Saved these settings
4. Worked on my articles and revisited my Themepanel
5. All AdSense codes in the Ads section where gone
Any idea how to fix this so I can get my revenue from Adsense up again? Do I need to remove the Adsense code out of the header.php?
Thanks in advance for your time and tips!
Kind regards
