Hi,
Unfortunately in Newspaper v9.7.3 there is a problem between WPBakery and tagDiv Composer, I recommend you to use a previous version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/important-new-update-newspaper-9-7/ until will fix the problem.
If you need other version of Newspaper theme you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and we’ll provide you the version you need.
Thank you!

Hi Calin,
Thanks for your reply, but I want to use ‘hide on device’ option in Visual Composer. It’s weird that it doesn’t work. Will it be fixed in a update?
I can try it with CSS, but its not ideal. What would the css be if I make two classes. One that shows the row/element on desktop and tablet landscape, and one for everything below that resolution, like the options in VC?
Hi,
It seems to be strange! Please provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it. Ensure that you have correctly installed and updated the theme with our documentation. -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Let us know how it goes!
Thank you!
hello, ok, but when I update the theme, it will be lost. Can you insert an option in future updates?

Hi
There was no reports about this problem between Newspaper and WordPress Updates, please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate all non theme plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, please deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
Thank you!
>>The posts, pages, templates and theme panel won’t be affected by a theme update.
Good to know!
>>The actual date should translate automatically, when the language of the post is changed.
There was a setting with WPML which had changed but now it’s working fine again.
Thanks, Simion!
Hello !
Unfortunately I cannot promise this but I’ve noted your suggestion and passed it to our developers. Maybe we will offer this option in the future updates.
Thank you for your suggestion !
Thank you!
Hi Calin, I have followed your steps and everything is OK, but I still have the problem and if I have noticed that if I deactivate the tagDiv Composer plugin I can work without problems with WPBakery Page Builder.
If I re-activate TagDiv I can not have block settings in WPBakery Page Builder
What could be the problems with these 2 plugins? this is from the last update of last week, before all good with the 2 plugins. I would like to continue having the 2 plugins …
Thank you
Hi,
This bug is note on our fix list and a developer fill fix this problem, unfortunately I can not say for sure if this bug will be fix in the next update or in coming updates, sorry!
Thank you for your understanding and sorry for the inconvenience!
Hi,
We will update the WPBakery plugin when the theme is updated. When the last theme update was released, at the time the latest WPBakery was included (6.0.2). From what I can see there was an update to 6.0.3 a few days ago, this will be included in the next theme update.
Thanks
The posts, pages, templates and theme panel won’t be affected by a theme update. But as always a backup should be made prior to updating the theme, just to be safe.
The actual date should translate automatically, when the language of the post is changed. So for example while a post in English date looks like this – http://prntscr.com/nxbsqf
Using the switcher to see the French version should also translate the date
– http://prntscr.com/nxbsvl

3- somehow MegaMenu is working again. Maybe by deactivating the slider plugins. But I did not change anything else. Strange…
So, remains the question concerning the 9.7.3 – Update. Can I retry an Update or shall I wait for a new version that does not affect the WordPress-Installation as it did some days ago? Right now I have deactivated Envato Market in order to prevent the theme from updating automatically…
Hi,
Yes, you have understand correctly, the license you have for Newspaper Theme will allow you to make unlimited updates.
Thank you!
your answer didn’t solve my problem and it was very useless.
The problem occurred when you update a new version.
Please give any specific solution.

Hi RCounsell,
The latest theme update was made on 1 June 2019. To be sure that you are using the latest theme version you need to download it again and install it via FTP way.
Hope this helps!
Thank you!
Hello,
I updated to the latest Newspaper version (v9.7.3) and it appears to have corrected the enlarged single image problem on the home page.
I’ve tested removing all custom CSS and margin/padding on WP Bakery layout blocks but still have an unresolved layout issue on the home page. The top right text block will not locate in the top row, right column location as in the WPBakery layout. I would attach a screenshot but don’t see that option here. See the original non-updated site for correct location of that block at Marketwisetrader.com
I placed a second text block with default text in the same location but it also bumps down to the next row just like the original which has stock market quotes in it.
A second unrelated issue on home page is that I can’t get the footer to display. I selected display footer for home page in the theme panel.
Could you provide suggestions for fixes to these two issues?
Original layout: //marketwistetrader.com
Cloned dev version with all updates at: //mkdv.meta-morphos.es
Thank you,
Lon
Nevermind…my bad…one of the plugin’s hadn’t updated…NOTHING TO SEE HERE FOLKS…MOVE ALONG! 🙂
I applied the update and updated the plugins and now my site is a little jacked up…lost fonts, lost images on the front page, etc.
Was this something I should expect?
Can someone tell me how to get an old version of newspaper theme?
I just updated the theme and all plugins and it has completely broken my site, the page titles in then tab section are displaying as urls. I can’t use visual composer, only tagdiv composer which means re-doing over 200 pages. Also, if I disable tagdiv composer I can’t change any theme options.
When will this mess be sorted? or can you supply me with an old version.
Thanks
Also,
Google Chrome said it failed to download the older version of Newspaper-tf found the the link below bc it contained viruses:

UPDATE: So it appears this update is conflicting with Disqus for WordPress. All pages began working after we disabled this plugin – is this something that can be adjusted?
Thanks!
