Hi,
We have changed the code to get the last updated date instead of Published.
However, it shows the published date on Homepage listing, archive pages, search pages, category pages, tag, author etc.
We want to only show one date sitewide i.e. last updated.

Thanks
Our team is working hard in order to release a new theme update as soon as possible. Shouldn’t be long now. Sorry again for the inconvenience with the issue from above.
Hi,
As a first note, the mobile theme plugin is optional. You can find out more about it here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
1. Pages do work, it’s just that while the mobile theme is active you have to create two versions for each page. One with the composer or in any way possible with the theme, and one with the mobile editor and it’s simple capabilities
– https://www.screencast.com/t/IJiXKgISxx
So this plugin would be used only if you intend to display a simpler and lighter version of the website on mobile. If not, deactivate it and the same content from desktop will show on mobile.
2. Currently categories will appear there even if they have no posts. I believe this might change in a future theme update. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Thanks
Hi, it’s been a while now that I didn’t receive any update from Newsletter theme. When will be the next one?
Thanks!
Thank you! Finally! When is the update coming up?
Hi,
That would be a current issue with the composer, it is already fixed and the theme is going to be updated. A quick fix is provided in this topic
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tagdiv-composer-and-apostrophes-in-text/
We are very sorry for this inconvenience.
Hi,
First please make a full backup of your site, then try to deactivate the plugin’s one by one ( there are plugins that interfere with mega menu , deactivate one plugin, refresh and see if appear mega menu https://www.screencast.com/t/5TiSgoURXPu );
If you decide to make update to theme, the updatewill not affect your website .
And yes you could find some plugins but not entirely like mega menu.
Thank you for your understanding.
Hi Kennplus,
Please read the documentation for how to update the theme from here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Thank you.
Hi,
Can you please be more clear and specific?For instance, how will the deactivation of all the plugins affect the site?Will the update of the theme make the site lose its content?is there another way to do or even test the mega menu field otherwise?Maybe there is a plugin that can “copy” the functionality of the mega menu?
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
Please how do i update to the latest version from WordPress?
Thank you
https://www.hangingwithken.com
I’m still waiting for them to figure this out. I’ll post an update as soon as I can.
Hello Daniel Iceman,
Unfortunately, the Recaptcha functionality does not include in our theme, sorry! We cannot say for sure if this way will be included or not in our future update, sorry!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi Catalin,
Thank you for the quick response. We just double-checked all requirements, and we could confirm that we are using recommended setup for the Newspaper theme.
Now I will try to describe our problem again. Before updating the Newspaper theme, we had a “Custom” option under “Sort order” setting for Big Grid 2 block. That option allowed us to feature sponsored articles easily. After the update, we don’t see this option.
Is there any way we could get this option back without rolling back to the previous theme version. I am not sure we want to use an out-of-date theme.
No updates I can provide unfortunately, it is on our list and it will be looked over. In the topic you provided from the webmaster forums seems that other users with various themes and plugins suffer from the same problem with Google+, so it would not be specific to this theme.
Also from what I read 404 errors do not affect ranking in Google or indexing

Hello mamito,
Yes, when you upgrade the theme, all of the code and plugins have to be updated with the latest version of them which come bundled with the theme packet. Update the Child Theme and replace it with the new version of it and check the results. Also, clear all the caches, purge CDN files before checking the new results.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks.
Hi,
There were no changes made to the custom code sections in the last updates. Valid code will work same as before.
That code seems broken however – https://www.screencast.com/t/f3dRLkoUl0E
All that section does is to output the code you enter, it will not be modified in any way, so if it’s valid it will work.
Thanks
Heh. Yeah. It’s one of the “stupid AMP tricks” (our sites were in the beta back in 2015, so have suffered through quite a bit with it… ).
Google will start checking. But good to resubmit your site maps via search console. When they are aware, it will show up and they will start poking you with error emails — some you can deal with, some will happen while you’re doing an update, and then next day “we couldn’t access two of your pages…” — which, of course, you were updating! LOL. So, then you resubmit those pages, then you get another email “we validated your fixes.” #SHEESH ! 😉
Theme does not control sending email. Just as heads up to those new to WP.
Email sent via WP by default goes via sendmail, or out via authenticated email via an actual account on server via correct port. However, this may require the plugin to ‘ping’ the account first before send, which may not work.
Another issue, is that if the email test from the plugin *does work* and you’re sending an email form from your website to @gmail, it might be going to the spam folder at the gmail account so never seen.
ABOUT WP Mail SMTP:
We went through this recently after server update and WP updates.
Suddenly, the latest version of ‘WP Mail SMTP’ would no longer work. All email tests would fail. (One presumes you are testing the email send option from plugin?) — we had to go back to 1.25 vs 1.3x — and that works. So, you may need to try different SMTP plugins to see which one *actually* works with your server.
Not sure that helps — but the SMTP plugin we’d been using since June 2016 stopped working Summer 2018, and we had to roll back to the prior version as “new version” simply did not work with WP forms, or with WooCommerce.
Upshot – if v 1.3 does not work, try to find 1.25 which does work.
Stupid I know, but we would have issue where one email test would work, then actual emails from form would not. Almost like our own server was blocking the plugin, so something changed from 1.25 to 1.3x.
Seriously, we’re running latest CentOS, Apache, https, http/2 and PHP 7.2x, no go with 1.3x but 1.25 works on two sep installs.
Try older version from github:
https://github.com/awesomemotive/WP-Mail-SMTP
https://github.com/awesomemotive/WP-Mail-SMTP/releases/tag/1.2.5
Try it 😉
Any Update? Very frustrated with the registration process. Users won’t receive any emails.
I just realized my profile image here on TD was changed by someone. I wasn’t hacked I don’t think. I just think it’s a prank.
I don’t see where I can update the image when I choose to edit my profile.
Where can I change my profile image here?
I updated the topic to 9. I want to install the theme Wine Aroma. But it is not active. Why? And how can I install it?
Hi,
I wrote custom code within the custom javascript section on my Newspaper 9 themed-website to create a script that executes a function and when I made the update to 9, that script was no longer executed. Is custom code being read differently in this theme update? do you have any advice on how to make this script run?
This is currently what I have:
if (window.location.pathname === “/”) {
var div = document.createElement(“div”);
div.setAttribute(“id”, “tpd-native-ad-d”);
var s = document.createElement(‘script’);
s.setAttribute(‘type’, ‘text/javascript’);
s.innerText = “googletag.cmd.push( function() {googletag.display( ‘tpd-native-ad-d’);} );”
div.appendChild(s);
var block = document.querySelectorAll(‘div[data-td-block-uid^=”td_uid_7″]’);
if (block && block.length > 0) {
var elem = block[0].getElementsByClassName(‘td_module_6’);
}
if (elem && elem.length > 1) {
elem[1].appendChild(div);
console.log(‘adding style’);
}
Thanks!
Hi,
Try some lazy-load plugins, check some free ones to begin with
– https://wpdean.com/wordpress-lazy-load-plugins/
The theme lazy-load may not be the best at the moment, it will be improved in a future update. Disable it and try some plugins, then test again.
Hello thegrio,
Ensure that you have correctly installed the theme via FTP way, update the WordPress version to the latest one, clear all the caches and check all the parameters from here
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ and also, check here ->
https://www.screencast.com/t/KiUzd6ym
Thanks for your understanding!
The multi-purpose plugin was removed and included in the tagDiv composer plugin, this happened in theme update 8.7.5, please check the changelog at the bottom of this page
– https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
– https://www.screencast.com/t/cql6czdT
So no need to keep trying to activate the plugin if you use a theme version newer than 8.7.5, the multi-purpose plugin and the tagDiv composer were combined. All the multi-purpose options are now part of the tagDiv composer.
