I asked the plugin developer of BuddyForms if he knew why there was VC code there on the site and he said it had nothing to do with his plugin. We were both trying to figure out why this Visual Composer code was showing up on this page. I looked through every page and couldnt see what would cause it, took out every shortcode that I could find.

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas? Here’s the page URL that it is showing up on where ‘appilyapps’ is a username.

I checked the ‘user’ page and nothing. Also I inspected the VC code and that first line starts off with a td-footer-page td-footer-container, td-container-wrap. Visual Composer plugin for Newspaper is deactivated….

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Hi,

I’m in the process of moving my website. I wanted to change to this theme so I have installed it and am having a few issues with WP Bakery. I have read all the forums and guides and I understand that the two editors do conflict.

I have built my site using WP Bakery with another theme so I though when installing this it would display the same. I’m having a few issues getting it to look the same and I need to use WP Bakery because I need the ability to add Accordians, Tabs, Maps, Videos etc, which aren’t in tagDiv.

See the two links below for the difference between my current site and the new site I’m builidng using this theme:

It looks similar but a few of the elements are working correctly. A few issues I need help with:

1. Do I have to only use the 3 column styles mentioned here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/ and what happens if other columns are used?

2. On long pages I cannot edit for long without the page giving me the error ‘Connection Lost’. I’ve read into a few of the forums and this is said to be due to a plugin conflict. I used this plugin and all the others installed fine and once installing the new theme I get this error. I uninstalled the tagDiv Composer plugin and this error stopped. It also takes an extremely long time to load.

3. Is there a way to make the background elements full width. Like on the original site? WP Bakery says its full width but it doesn’t show.

Is there anyway I can get those pages working fine with your theme using WP Bakery. I want to stay with your theme for the ability to use tagDiv on the header, menu and footer. I would like to stay but I need to be able to fix the issues I’m having.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Hello,

I’ve experienced the inability to edit or post with the visual editor. What I am seeing looks like the image below.

I pushed our live site to a staging area where I first tried to use a default template and the issue still was there. I then disabled all the plugins and the visual editor worked again. I then enabled one by one until I saw that when I enabled tagDiv composer, the visual editor issue came back. I disabled tagDiv composer and the visual editor worked once again. I then disabled all the plugins again and then only enabled the tagDiv composer and the visual editor issue prevented me from editing again. I’ve searched the forum for a similar issue and haven’t seen anything close but this link: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/unable-to-createsaveview-posts/ (I understand that this is or visual composer but I still tried the steps to no avail).

I last used my site Monday morning to edit a story. Monday early afternoon is when the visual editor became unusable. I am able to use the code editor, but that will be very cumbersome to have to use as I post 10-20 articles per week.

I’m not sure what to do but give you my site details.
WP version 5.2.3
Newspaper Theme version 9.8
tagDiv Composer version 2.4

When I insert Visual Composer shortcodes on the mobile theme page, they work perfectly. But if I use tagdiv blocks (in this case “Authors Box”, they are not displayed). Is that intentional?

Hello, I’m building an event page on my theme. I created some shortcodes and am trying to add them through the visual comporser panel using the row html option. It turns out that when I paste the shortcode into the html area it simply does nothing. displays pure and simple shortcode as just plain text. How do I solve this?

Hi all we have a problem with the editor. Yesterday it worked but today we cannot Edit Text (Visual). The Text ist only shown in Text. We have made a loom video so you can check it out. Could you please take a look to fix this issue. We have more newspaper licencse and the problem exists in every Website which uses Theme Newspaper.

Hi, I have a problem in my website.
For example in this page I have 2 galleries (slideshow) that I make with the plugin Galleries by Angie Makes, and now changing the theme with Newsmag all galleries have problems of visualizations:

I’m currently in the process of trying to turn on AMP while still having my pages displayed nicely on mobile. I’m quite confused with it all because from what I’ve found there’s 4 different places to “switch on” AMP.

1. In the Theme Panel –> mobile theme there’s 3 options for mobile, mobile + AMP, and AMP
2. In pages there’s options on the sidebar to enable/disable both AMP and mobile theme
3. In individual posts there’s the same options as the pages
4. When clicking on the AMP plugin on the left hand sidebar there’s also the options to turn on and off the supported templates.

What’s the difference between mobile theme vs AMP theme? I’m assuming AMP is simply a faster version of mobile theme, but I haven’t been able to see any differences visually.
Also I’m confused why point 1. above has an option “mobile + AMP”.

I’m also assuming that to have AMP working correctly I should enable it on all four options above. From the right hand sidebar in pages and posts, do I need to switch on/off the mobile template? Or does that not matter if I have my mobile theme set to “AMP” only vs “AMP + mobile”?

I’m hoping you can help point me in the right direction. I want to update our blog using the Newspaper theme. Specifically the black demo version. Can you please instruct me on the steps required to do this without losing any of our site content, media, metadata, etc? I’m hoping there is some sort of tutorial that will walk me through the easiest and most logical steps. Our current blog uses The7 theme and Visual Composer. I’ve tried a few times already and had to restore due to formatting issues. Thank you in advance!

there is a way to completely disable the TagDiv Composer and use the Visual Composer Website Builder on the pages

The visual page builder, i.e. the tagdiv composer visual builder that I use to structure my website is gone. Normally when I press visit my website through wordpress it comes up as a ribbon on the top, now that ribbon is gone, meaning I cant see the regular visual builder either.

I only have tagdiv composer and then recently installed WP statistics, those are the only plugins.

Any help would be much appreciated

When I try to save the Newspapper theme settings, the system loops.
The console give me the error:

Hi there, I’m using La Mode Pro demo which is great, but now hitting road blink and I have checked your forum but no help:

1. is it possible for video header to show on mobile as just shows YouTube Play button (and that doesn’t work), or better to use Slider Revolution instead?

2. Also, Ad Box (Image Ad) I cannot add a new image (like a small png or jpeg) as this shows an error:

“Invalid data Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)”

3. The above also applies when change a background image from a Cloud Library template.

4. Visual Composer on static pages doesn’t work properly and using 1/6 + 4/6 + 1/6 col results in centre column being pushed to the left.

5. How can I add a Slider Revolution in a new zone so it just shows on my posts?

6. Logo size – it looks blurred when bigger than 270px width (which is very limiting).

Really hope you can help ASAP.

Why don’t Newspaper 9 have theme elements that could allow me to create a picture gallery like the one on https://www.reuters.com/ homepage and the individual picture page or the one in http://saharareporters.com/ homepage and individual photos page. Basically, I am asking if there are features that will allow for my site to have similar visual galleries for the homepage and picture page and function similar to these sites I’ve mentioned. Please provide me with an accurate response or a plugin solution for my site as soon as possible because I have a 2 week deadline to meet.
