Hi,
The Whatsapp and Viber socials are not displayed on desktop. They could be made visible if absolutely required with a code like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/tEYBzRg1xXcF
@media (min-width: 767px) {
.td-social-whatsapp,
.td-social-viber {
display: inline-block;;
}
Thanks
Hi, devs.
You show Telegram icon in desktop version.
But not show Viber & Whatsapp icon in desktop version.
It’s strange for me, because i & many my friends use all version of Telegram, Viber & Whatsapp (desktop+for phones).
So we can’t share from desktop link on Viber & Whatsapp – why?
Hi,
For me they seem to work properly on initial loading of the page

I have tested in Chrome and Firefox, there is no problem. If you have enabled socials that only appear on mobile such as WhatsApp and Viber be sure to drag them last (click and drag the social)

Thanks
Hello Simon,
Purge Cache again on Cloudflare (Purge everything)
Drag WhatsApp to last line
Also disable Cache on Cloudware to test, but not work We see only + on Firefox

Hi,
Purge the js and CSS if possible, or purge everything. There should be no problem. This is a tutorial on Cloudflare if applicable
– https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200169246-How-do-I-purge-my-cache-
@Christian12 That is the way the socials display for me as well with the same settings
– https://www.screencast.com/t/trGvQeQJ2
– https://www.screencast.com/t/gnYSentGaFA
That is happening because the WhatsApp is displayed only on mobile, but it is loaded among the socials. A solution would be to drag the WhatsApp social to be last in line

Dear tagdiv Support,
Would like to highlight that we have been using your theme so far and we have been pleased with its performance.
However, recently we had this issue with the multipurpose plugin. Our staff have been trying to login into the wp-admin backend but they get this error (only shows up on mobile)
https://worldwithouthorizons.com/wp-content/uploads/WhatsApp-Image-2018-01-07-at-4.31.18-AM.jpeg
It is identical to this error made in the comments page on themeforest recently;
https://worldwithouthorizons.com/wp-content/uploads/Screen-Shot-2018-01-09-at-02.25.29.png
We have performed the steps exactly as was the reply, and the result is the same.
Please advise, thank you.

Hello,
Please clear your browser cache, your cache plugin and purge cdn files.
The whatsapp icons shows up as expected on our end.
Also you could try this solution: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/strange-chinese-symbols-replaced-icons-and-arrows/
Thanks.
And whatsapp sharing icon is also not showing
Hi, same problem for me. Not show Whatsapp icon after 8.6 update.
And how can I make the + sign at the social icons disappear? I need the icons to be visible directly, not hidden behind a +
Thank you!

Hi @patwire, I just thought the same but then I remembered that it was always that way. (Because you can share via WhatsApp only on mobile.)
Thanks – that works for desktop icons, except that it removes the WhatsApp icon from desktop completely – mobile all good – desktop doesn’t show WhatsApp even though selected in Theme Settings – all caches cleared again and browser cache too this time
Thanks for help
Hi updated to 8.6 – social icons work very well on mobile devices – but on desktop something is wrong – see example here on desktop only http://westbridgfordwire.com/collin-street-bridges-removed-january-major-disruption-expected/
Have cleared host cache – cleared CloudFlare cache/purge all – restarted browser ( Safari )
It works better in Chrome (except WhatsApp icon is corrupted )
Is it possible to edit ‘Share’ text to ‘Share this’ or similar?
Thanks
Pat

Buna,
or do I need to cut this code:
<i class=”td-icon-facebook”></i><div class=”td-social-but-text”>’ . __td(‘Share on Facebook’, TD_THEME_NAME) . ‘</div>
title, ENT_COMPAT, ‘UTF-8’)), ENT_COMPAT, ‘UTF-8’) . ‘&url=’ . urlencode( esc_url( get_permalink() ) ) . ‘&via=’ . urlencode( $twitter_user ? $twitter_user : get_bloginfo( ‘name’ ) ) . ‘” ><i class=”td-icon-twitter”></i><div class=”td-social-but-text”>’ . __td(‘Tweet on Twitter’, TD_THEME_NAME) . ‘</div>
<i class=”td-icon-googleplus”></i>
<i class=”td-icon-pinterest”></i>
title, ENT_COMPAT, ‘UTF-8’)), ENT_COMPAT, ‘UTF-8’) . ‘%20-%20’ . urlencode( esc_url( get_permalink() ) ) . ‘” ><i class=”td-icon-whatsapp”></i>
and instead paste my code share?
Hi,
Thank you for your appreciation.
1. Please provide a link to your website so we can inspect the issue. If you have the actual Whatsapp application installed on the mobile device you are testing with, there should be no problem.
2. The titles can be customized with the Yoast SEO plugin
– https://www.screencast.com/t/WTpQTObCcD

Thanks
First of all, I’d like to thank tagdiv team for creating such a nice theme. My first issue is :
1:- Whatsapp link of my website is not working properly on phone. Please check my website’s whatsapp link on your mobile phone & then do something.
2:- I don’t know why my website’s home button always appears in top bar of chrome’s tab. It’s annoying me. I want my tagline to appear there. Due to this fault, search engine google also displays my home button with my website in stead of my tagline.
Please help me. I’d be thankful to you.
Hello Rune,
Try the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area.
.td-social-whatsapp{
display:none!important;
}
Thanks.
Hello,
The whatsapp share is already present in our theme. Please access your site from a mobile device and you will see the whatsapp button like so: https://www.screencast.com/t/BIAoMMeLSwa (only for posts)
Thank you!
Where is I can changes social share, i will add share to whatsapp.
Hello,
All the code which is referring to the Whatsapp can be found in that line here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/IRmnXK2ogKi
Thanks for the message!
UPDATE:
First and second issue is resolved.
Now when i send somebody my url, in for example Whatsapp, it shows the page title (Voorpagina). This is ofcourse because i created the homepage from static page (TagDiv tutorial). I dont want it to show the title. I just want my URL and right meta data with my logo.
How can i fix this?
When i go to Yoast (SEO-titles and meta’s-homepage) i cant add my meta data. Instead in directs me to the static homepage again. On my other domains i can just add my meta data there.
Is it a good and wise thing to create a homepage from a static regular page? Are there other and better options? Please tell me.
Whatsapp links only work on mobile and *if* you have the whatsapp ‘app’ actually installed — that’s how it works; clicking link without having Whatsapp ‘running’ will give broken link error.
Using any link-follower trying to follow that link basically means the link checker is too stupid to recognize whatsapp (kind of like W3C RSS checker that doesn’t understand srcset tags, or https enclosure images).
Presumably one *should* have rel=nofollow tags on those links, and didn’t look to see if they are there or not.
