I am trying to add a custom user field called “Source” to the Custom Single Post Template. In the recording here, I show what I have done to attempt to do so.

Thanks, Ken
Hello @libertylens!
You should add the source of every post in this field: https://prnt.sc/Si2nYgNMwcDs
Thank you!
Hi Bettina,
I did add it there, but it still doesn’t appear on the post. The recording that I submitted above demonstrated this.
Thanks,
Ken
I’d like to put Mobile Post Header on two lines so that it doesn’t wrap like this:
https://app.screencast.com/Mj6ZOEYuIuQdX
I can’t figure out how to add rows to the mobile template. Can you do a recording so I can see how that is done?
Hello Ken!
I can see that your mobile version is the same as desktop one: https://app.screencast.com/1b0R6SaSOM3t1
So, it could be a plugin conflict or a custom CSS code which interfere there.
First of all, please make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
Hi Bettina,
I just disabled all plugins except TagDiv, along with the cache plugin. Cleared the cache. Same result: The Source field is still not visible on both the desktop and mobile view.
Ken
Odd: It is showing on this article:
https://libertylens.news/2023/07/chick-fil-as-dei-policy-an-intentional-shift-to-progressivism/
but not this one:
https://libertylens.news/2023/07/transamerica-origins/
They both appear to be using the same template, and have a value populated in the user field.
Looks like the same is happening with the issue around author, date, source fields. Column divisions are a problem on this article:
https://libertylens.news/2023/07/chick-fil-as-dei-policy-an-intentional-shift-to-progressivism/
https://app.screencast.com/Mj6ZOEYuIuQdX
but they look fine on this one:
https://libertylens.news/2023/07/transamerica-origins/
I’m wondering of there are two templates with the same name…
Hello Ken!
Because you did not add the source as I showed you. Please add the source for every post in the correct field. Check the screenshot: https://prnt.sc/370HwwgYSdgj
They have the same template as well. I told you, you can edit the page with the TagDiv Composer and modify the way it is displaying in desktop and mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB
Thank you!
What happened to my mobile theme? It now looks like the image on the left instead of the image on the right.
https://app.screencast.com/CAXlexaQmBnvl
Whatever plugin this may have come from, it is no longer enabled. How can I re-apply the correct mobile template so that these are properly themed?
(I want all the posts to have the same header as the main page.)
Hello Ken!
Actually, we have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use the mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to disable the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.
If you need the same header on all your pages, then make the header template global.
Thank you!
I am trying to remove ads from a template (the top of posts and category pages). I think they’re removed from the Home page, but they’re still showing up on other pages, even when I disable ads on a given post. How can I adjust that? Here is an example: https://libertylens.news/2023/08/zack-rackkovan/
Thanks,
Ken
Hi Bettina –
I am unable to find any ad spaces in the templates: https://app.screencast.com/06xG48SBMYvIC
Thanks!
Ken
Hello Ken!
You shouldn’t edit the template (it has dummy data), but the article. For example, see an article on your frontend and edit it with the TagDiv Composer.
Now, on the Single Content element, there is a tab called Ads. They could be there too.
Also, you can find them in the theme panel settings: https://prnt.sc/4FQBK2vLDkSQ
Check every field where they could be. Make sure you do not have any scripts here: https://prnt.sc/XCaaxQRMlqfa
I hope that helps you!
Thank you!
My users are complaining that they are unable to log in using the “Sign in / Join” link. When I give them the admin link, it works fine. A little help?
Hello Ken!
I can see that you have an error in the console while you try to sign in using that button.
If you want, we can take a look. Please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the following:
– admin url and credentials
– cpanel url and credentials
Thank you!
