How i can set a post with editors pick ? is a category ?
try look at http://www.popacombr.com no post show in this Editor Picks (Selecoes do Editor)
i choose in them panel style 1, how i can change from default the columns (editor pick, popular post, category) or do not display these coluns and change to other, i try put widget on footer, works, but these 3 columns continues to show.

I believe you mean featured posts, all the theme blocks and grids can be sorted with this method, it is not specific to the footer or other locations. These are all the available block settings

Posts can be assigned to the featured category if you want, this category is created by default

Then choose a featured sorting in the block/grid you want.

Theme panel settings, pages, posts, custom code you enter in the theme panel, will not be lost after an update. Only if you make modifications to the actual theme files, these will be lost.
As always recommended before an update, please make backups just to be safe. This is specified in the guide.
