This is an international organisation’s site of which I am the designer. I am not a programmer.
The site is hosted by Dreamhost in Canada.
The site has become unbearably slow. I am trying to just edit a page
https://openair.africa/2020-annual-report-research-progress/
and the smallest change gives errors AJAX, Jason, 504 timeout. The page is autosaving a long time and them when I try to save, it hangs:

Or I get a AJAX or jason error and it does not save the updates:

Then I crash out of the site end often when trying to log back in:

There are periods when it works and hours where it does not.
When I look at Newspaper site health it is all green dots, no issues:

I contacted Dreamhost in Canada and they say they are perfect, but the theme is the issue …
I also run Newspaper theme on another site hosted in South Africa and that never has a problem. Here is the site report generated by Dreamhost:

Please make sure that the theme and the plugins are up to date.

I recommend you to make a backup and update plugins and the theme via file transfer, so that you don’t face any error: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Please make sure that all the requirements are met as you can see here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ ; You will have to first start looking for a plugin conflict. Please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache(also from your browser) and try again.
