Our site has recently become 5x slower as of 3 days ago and our domain support helped us target down the potential culprits. Our most recent ticket said the following:
From what we can see, the CSS and JS files of your application are causing the slow loading:

Additionally, these files are loading for 9 seconds each. Considering this, please contact the developer of the theme that you are using as this issue is not server related and we would be unable to assist you further.
Would updating the theme to the latest patch help us relieve this issue? We’ve already updated the plugins as they were recently released for woocommerce and buddypress.

Any advice? I’m considering just performing a rollback and re installation of the updates mentioned above but I wanted clarification if you believe updating the theme is the best route.
