Thank you all for taking the time to share your feedback.
Iâm one of the co-founders of tagDiv, and I completely understand the concerns raised here. Over the years, this forum has become much more than a place to submit support requests. It contains thousands of useful discussions, solutions, tips, and examples that continue to help users find answers quickly.
We are closing the forum for new activity because we want to focus our support resources on providing faster, more direct, and more personalized assistance through email. Maintaining and moderating a separate forum platform requires time and resources that we believe can be used more effectively to help customers directly.
However, based on your feedback, we have decided not to take the existing forum content offline. The forum will remain available in read-only mode, so all existing topics and replies will continue to be accessible and searchable. Users will no longer be able to create new topics or post new replies.
For new support requests, customers with an active support period can contact us via email.
Thank you for being part of this community and for contributing to such a valuable resource over the years.

Hi,
I’ve sent a reply via the email that you sent to our custom work address. Please let me know if it’s ok to continue our GPDR discussion and requests there.
Hi and sorry for the delay,
I’ve looked at your suggestion, unfortunately, as you can see here https://codex.wordpress.org/Determining_Plugin_and_Content_Directories It is not recommended for themes and plugins to use that constant. https://www.screencast.com/t/SQ4qC1prrha0
Can you give me more details… for example how WordPress allows changing the plugin path?
Hi all,
due to a technical issue, the theme was pulled of ThemeForest. We released the new version 8.8.1 and it’s awaiting moderation. We hope that in the next 24 hours the theme will be available again.
It took us by surprise this weekend but we are working tirelessly to bring the theme back online.
Sorry for this,
Radu O. from tagDiv
Hello
Recreating a page in our front-end builder should not be hard at all. Here is a guide on how to create a complex homepage in 3 minutes with our builder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2wGizMz4X0&t=9s
The page being a duplicate, you can take your time with it as you will simply create a new page and not change anything on your front-end until the page is ready to be set as a homepage.
The update should not remove any content from your site if it’s done correctly. We do however suggest creating a back-up just to be safe. Please follow this guide to properly update your theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Thank you!
Sorry but our theme ad system does not have this option. You will have to use an ad plugin for more in depth customization of the ads. Our theme ad spots place ads across the whole site.
Thanks.
Hello,
Please make sure your Facebook page is public and you added the correct id in the social counter as this guide suggests: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial/
Also clear all caching after you set it up.
If the counter still does not work, please provide a link to your site so we can inspect the counter
Thanks.
Hi all,
we are investigating this issue and we will fix it by tomorrow.
Hi,
I’ve replied in the other thread to the tdc question đ
Hi Chris,
That field is used by tagDiv composer to mark pages that are manually modified in tinyMCE. We show a warning when a page is modified manually or with visual composer. It’s name is inspired by https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dirty_bit đ
btw the new version of tagDiv composer (v1.0-beta.4) should work better with Newsmag. It is not yet live but I will release it today: https://github.com/tagDiv/td-composer/releases
This was assigned to one of our colleagues, we have to test this change a bit to not introduce new bugs.
Thanks Chris!
Hi,
If you want us to take a look at the changes you made, please send the de diffs here or via email: contact@tagdiv.com but please note that we pick very carefully what we implement in the theme and what we don’t.
I will inspect the wp meta table to see if there are huge performance issues with our counter. We know that it may create slowdowns and there is a notice in the theme panel for that.
Sorry for the delay,
Radu O.
UPDATE: the pagination issue may be from a bug that was introduced in WordPress 4.4.1: https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/35344 from that bug report it seems that they will fix it in WordPress 4.4.2 . Until they fix it, our solution should work as a fix.
other reports:
https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/35353
https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/35359
@sunkast yes… browsers tend to cache header responses more aggressively.
Hi,
the pagination issue is a WordPress well known quirk. The default WordPress theme also works like that. AS IngGeek said… install yoast and configure a sitemap and this problem should go away.
Hi,
the big grid is looking like that because when a theme is switched, WordPress requires new thumbs to be generated for images. Please follow this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
Hope that helps,
Radu O.
Hi,
Caching plugins may interfere with the views. Try to enable this setting http://screencast.com/t/EvHG4jxjc6B It is specially designed to count views with caching plugins but it may consume more server resources.
Hi,
we have an update guide here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ Hope that helps. The files do not have to be deleted.
Hi,
the language attributes should change automatically when you change your wordpress language from wp-admin. We indeed may have a problem with the lang attribute for older internet explorer browsers (8 & 9) – to fix this you can edit the header.php file and change this en to de-AT http://screencast.com/t/x5JeHnjfH6at .
In the next update we will fix this issue.
Radu O.
@printing3d I’ve replied to your question here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/event-tracking-is-not-possbile-with-newspaper-theme/
we will find the cause for this.
Radu O.
Hi,
the event tracking code should work fine with our theme. My first conclusion is that all the Javascript from the pages is not working properly due to either a plugin or a revers proxy that minimizes the code like cludflare + rocker launcher. We can have a look at your site if you want – please email us to contact@tagdiv.com and also send a link to this forum thread and one of my colleagues will debug the javascript of the page.
Sorry for this đ but the most common causes for issues like this that we encountered are poorly written 3rd party plugins.
Radu O.
Hi,
please try to install the demo again at a later time. Our servers may had some problems.
If that doesn’t work, please gibe us wp-admin access so we can have a look via email: contact@tagdiv.com
Hi all,
the update with the fix is live on themeforest – Newspaper 6.6
Sorry about the delay :(.
@Ferenan – please let us know what ad blocking software are you using? on what browser and the exact name so that I can try it out.
Hi,
comment or delete this: http://screencast.com/t/cVAA0jb4 We are investigating the issue. That code ads a persistent class on each block for custom styling. The class is not normally used.
Hi,
with disk caching I was referring to the caching method used by w3 total cache and wp super cache that save the page on the HDD/SSD. W3 total cache also supports caching to APC user cache or memcached. I was tring to point out that wp super cache, even if it saves the page on the hdd/sdd can be as fast as APC or memcached due to the linux’s kernel caching mechanism.
We switch our recommended caching plugin to wp super cache because it’s written better, it’s maintained by automattic (the WordPress developers), it’s leaner and overall we did not encountered many problems with it.
Regarding the flush methods… there are 2 instances: http://screencast.com/t/qO7msUmvI – this is an experiment it may not work.
What caching method are you using now? Your site gets a very good response time from my end even when I’ve bypass cloudflare: http://screencast.com/t/xZ3x2n4Jdvw8 . TTFB is very good and I do not think you can push it more without hardware updates. I’m on the other side of the globe relating to your server and 363ms first page load is very good here with USA.
Hi Bryson,
Unfortunately it is very hard to debug this thing without replicating it.
We run the theme about one year ago on nginx + w3total cache and we did not encounter any problems. I’ve also used in that time the APC user cache.
Why can’t you switch to disk caching + wp super cache? Even when disk caching is used, the linux kernel will actually cache the files in memory if ram is available : https://www.thomas-krenn.com/en/wiki/Linux_Page_Cache_Basics
We tested the apc cache VS the normal disk cache and we did not found big improvements. We are currently using wp super cache and normal php disk caching on all of our installs.
Please send me the page (by using save as)…. the page source is encoded?
