Did you ever write how you achieved your scores? I’m suffering from the DOM issue too

Thanks Calin,

Can I ask why normal numbered pagination isnt working with the Flex loop builder? Isn’t this a newer flex block that’s more widely recommended by tagdiv nowadays?

Alastair Dixon
tagDiv Member

Oh.. and i’m using the ‘flex loop builder block’, incase that helps you diagnose the issue.

A little more context:

I have a category page listing all posts in that category (let’s call it the ‘tips’ category)

I’m using normal numbered pagination but the theme is adding <link rel=”next” href=”https://www.website.com/tips/page/2/”> – When actually the hyperlinks on the next or numbered pagination buttons take the format of: https://www.website.com/tips/?tdb-loop-page=2

So this is really not good good in terms of SEO because paginated pages should be linked to with regular links to allow users to click and navigate to the next page in the series. They also allow Google to crawl from page to page, and PageRank to flow between pages in the series.

The advice coming from Screaming frog to fix this issue is:
Ensure paginated URLs are linked to within tags. This will allow them to be crawled and indexed, and pass PageRank onto any URLs they link to.

Hi both,

I’m seeing the same issue in Screaming frog and I’m not using Ajax paginations, I’m using proper ‘normal numbered’ SEO friendly pagination. This sounds like a pretty important error to sort out so would love some help on this please.

I second this preload feature for flex blocks! This would make pages load so much faster! Thank you and I look forward to seeing this feature soon. -A

Hey man, did you ever figure this out? I have the same problem and am trying to remove as much code bloat from the theme as possible – this is where I’m starting… -A

has anyone got Newspaper’s related articles to show posts that are related yet?? The ones that show up for me are awful, and pretty similar in every post, even though they should be looking at tags. Why does this function not take into account post titles and or post content too when finding related articles to show?? Any help is greatly appreciated. -A

Is it technically possible for tagdiv to implement filtering by taxonomy in the post loops blocks in the future?

Alastair Dixon
tagDiv Member

Thank you for the tip! So I could effectively creat a custom field element that is the same as my tag, and then add that to all the posts with my tag I’m trying to filter by, and then just filter with the custom field element type instead of my taxonomy tag?

Please please please can you guys add numbered pagination for flex blocks. It would be so useful to be able to create a page and have a flex block list a specified number of posts based on a tag filter that uses multiple tags to list content for example. There’s no way of doing this and have numbered pagination as far as I’m aware? Please can you add it to the flex blocks??

Best,
Alastair

Hi Anamaria,

Please could you ask the dev team to remove deprecated code from the theme – it will help with the theme bloat. If CSS analyzer is no longer working/or not getting fixes or updates, please remove the settings from the wordpress dashboard header so users don’t start going down that rabbit hole.

Best,
Alastair

Hi Simion, I think you misunderstood his question. He wants to be able to custom order the posts. Now I’m facing the same issue – can this be done?

Hey, unfortunately, I don’t have time to troubleshoot this error.

I’ve had to scrap conditional multi-tag filtering to opt for a more simple approach to keep our readers happy.

Alastair Dixon
tagDiv Member

No, it just worked – and now it doesnt.

Alastair Dixon

In the flex block settings, I used to be able to filter posts by using the filter by tag field. In there I could use simple Expressions like + to be able to show posts that share 2 of the same tags. This has always worked up until recently- and I really need this fixed as it has broken many of my landing pages.

The problem still exists – I’m on version 11.5.1.

I used to be able to filter by multiple tag slugs like this: tag-name1 + tag-name2

This no longer works.

I think the ‘problem’ is that the implementation is not very good in that case. It doesn’t perform as most would expect it to, and therefore it’s not very useful to a lot of us. Maybe it needs a re-think on how it should be implemented.

Hi Anamaria,

When will this get fixed? A sidebar that doesn’t stick will cause loss in ad revenue for many of us.

Thank you for sharing this info!! Lifesaver!

Same problem here and those docs didnt really help – did you manage to fix it?

Alastair Dixon

I figured it out, thanks. for anyone else wanting to know – you’ll likely need an extra plugin to get colors working on swatches

Alastair Dixon

on a similar note, how do you change the color of the swatches on product pages?? Mine all show as black…

I too am unable to use the autoload post feature because of cache issues. Please fix in the next release.

Alastair Dixon
tagDiv Member

I thought the theme update (11.3) would have fixed this auto load issue as the theme changelog had this in it:

– fix: Infinite loading and internal links issue;

The autoload/infinite scroll posts error I still see is this:
/wp-json/td-cloud-library/ajax_autoload?uid=ed0efe54-3234-e3ea-8fb3-4e298d49e57f 403

And this basically stops autoloading of the next post from working about 12 hours after clearing caches.
