Tested disqus conditional load, same problem. Fatal error wen previewing the post. No comments in the html of the post. If other themes can do it, Newspaper can also do it

That plugin is not Disqus. The author of that plugin no longer updates it.

This problem is specific to Newspaper, other themes do not have this problem.

Not supporting Disqus, is one of the things that bothers me in Newspaper and that might push me to other themes. I have bought 3 newspaper licenses so far, but the lack of integration with discuss and no “site skin” for ads, are the two things that eventually will make me quit Newspaper

You can sync it automatically or manually, but Nespaper will not show it in the source code, so no SEO benefit

Unfortunately, the Backgound ad (site skin) is poorly implemented in Newspaper. It allows only a clickable background in the sides of the theme, no header, no mobile integration.

I have the same problem. In my case it’s because of the comments. The preview loads de comments, in my case by disqus , and it gives a critical error.

Update: i revert to version: 10.3.8 and now it works again. So it is definitively a bug from Version: 10.3.9

I have the same problem, in my case it’s because the preview in newspaper is loading the comments, in my case Disqus wich is only shown on a live post, so it shows a error. Newspaper theme shouldn´t load the comments on preview

Problem solved but did not understand why. The error was present only in pages, not posts. But if I enable comments on the pages, the error disappears. Ps. I’m using disqus.
