Hi Catalin,

I have found a solution in your forum that solves the featured article problem.

I added the code
‘category__not_in’ => ‘2’,
in mobile -> front-page.php at the “query used on Latest Articles section” and it works great!

About the second problem: you were absolutely right! All six AMP errors were caused by the Faceboo Pixle.

I have removed the Facebook Pixel now.

I inserted the Facebook pixel into “Theme panel -> Analytics / Js Codes -> Google Analytics and JavaScript Codes -> Header Script Code”.

Do you have an idea where I could insert the Facebook pixel without causing an AMP error?

Many Thanks!

Oh sorry! I just noticed that I posted in the newsmag forum.
I use the Newspaper theme.
Thanks!

Hi Catalin,

Sorry, I do not understand what you mean. What happens if I change the category? The first (big) article will still appear in the latest article list. Or do I misunderstand this?

Does it possibly work in the other direction?
Is there a way to show only certain categories in the latest article list?
Then I put all categories IDs in the code and skip the featured category id. Is that a possibility?

I have another question about the mobile theme: I always get the same six error messages from the AMP validator, even though I set “Mobile + AMP” in the mobile theme settings.

https://validator.ampproject.org/#url=https%3A%2F%2Fzentrum-online.at%2Fsommereinsatzbereitschaft-im-noe-strassendienst-wird-fortgesetzt%2F%3Famp

If I only activate the AMP mode in the mobile theme settings, I can not change any settings in the AMP plugin. The AMP plugin always shows:

Your active theme has been built-in AMP support.
Paired: Reuses active theme’s templates to display AMP responses, but uses separate URLs for AMP. Each canonical URL may AMP URL, if the content is fully AMP valid.

Only if I deactivate the mobile theme I can select the classic AMP mode in the AMP plugin.

In classic AMP mode, I do not receive error messages from the AMP validator.

I’ve cleared the chache and also disabled all non theme plugins. But unfortunately it did not work.

Many Thanks!

Hi Calin,

Thank you for your patience and the time you spend for me!
The only thing is that the problems are still there and I do not know any further.

If I disable AMP Google penalizes me.
If I use classic AMP the article looks bad and
if I use the mobile theme I have duplicate articles and incorrect display on tablets.

Is there any way to hide the featured article in the latest articles box on moblie theme?

I use the cache plugin recommended by you WP Super Cache so there should be no conflict on tablets.

Please help me! Is there another AMP plugin that can solve these problems, or is there a way to downgrade, because everything worked well before the update.

Many thanks for your help!

Hi Calin,

I tried to use the mobile theme with AMP and cleared the cache;). Now I have the following three issues.

The Google AMP site test has again shown the same six error messages as without the mobile theme. (I have now disabled the mobile theme again and enabled classic AMP)

With the mobile theme, the featured article is displayed twice.

and on tablets the mobile page looks strange because everything seems so stretched.

Thank you!

Hi Calin,

I can not use classic AMP. There is no header menu, no footer menu and it is branded by WordPress.

I’ve received more than 100 Google error messages since the last update because of the AMP issue, and sometimes my page will no longer appear in Google search results.

Everything worked great before the update. Please show me a way how to solve the problem.

Thank you!

Hello!

I just noticed that in the mobile version, when loading a page, the search box appears short. You can see that on the video quite well.

Can this be related to the first problem?

Many Thanks!

Hello Bogdan,

Thanks for your quick reply!
I can not find the multi-purpose plugin. It does not appear in Newspaper -> Plugins and also not in Plugins -> Installed Plugins.
The theme is on the current version.

What can I do?

Thank you

Hi Simion,
Thanks for your fast reply.
1. Sorry, I forgot to say that the gray box is only visible in grid style 4 – bottom box.
Here is a screenshot

Have you ever had such a case?

2. WP and plugins are up to date. If I turn off WP debug in the config file is the error just hidden?

3. I have already found this page and tried the suggestions but unfortunately without success.

Thanks and regards,
Arti

Hi Catalin,

I have the same problem on my tablet (10 inches, 1920 Ă— 1200 pixels).
What could be the reason that the mobile theme is also displayed on tablets?
Or is there a code to limit the width of the mobile theme on devices?

Thanks for your help!

best regards
seb
