This homepage was built using the TagDiv Composer.

There’s a ‘Block’ near the top, called ‘Featured IMPACT’ that displays 3 Posts (‘Canadians to Watch at Tokyo 2020’, ‘IMPACT Picks for the Best Outdoor Podcast’, ‘Erica Wiebe, Canada’s Olympic Sweetheart’).

Instead of displaying Posts, is it possible to adjust that Block to display 3 Pages?

Hi Anamaria,

I was able to use the Theme panel to hide all dates.
This worked for the Block and Flex Block.

For the Flex Block, under layout, I didn’t realize I could scroll down the page for more options.
I’m not sure why TagDiv or WP don’t have scroll bars to indicate there’s more content off-screen.

I went to WP / Newspaper / Theme Panel / Theme Fonts

I updated the size of ‘BODY – GENERAL FONT’ to 16pt, which also adjusted the size of the ‘Text with image’ description text to 16pt.

So, it looks like the Theme wouldn’t allow me to apply overrides on the ‘Text with image’ using the tag Div composer.

Makes sense that I couldn’t override the Theme settings, and I’m kinda okay with that.

Yes, the element is a ‘Text with image’.

Your solution is what I was trying yesterday, and it should work, but doesn’t.

When I go to Style, and edit any ‘General Style’ option (font size, line height, etc…) in ‘Description text’, nothing previews and nothing saves.

Note: my ultimate goal is to change the font size of description text.

When I go to Style, I am able to edit both the ‘Title Style’ and ‘Button Style’.

Any additional help would be appreciated.

This is very close to what it needs to be but still not quite there.

Is there something I can do to have the entire image display consistently? The proportions cannot change or I get edges cut off like in this ‘cover’ sample using the CSS suggested: http://www.screencast.com/t/F9e26IuF4F8. At some breakpoints it does appear correctly, but most are getting cropped off in one way or another.

All of the original images files are 605px wide by 800px tall. The actual scale doesn’t matter to me as much as having the entire image showing. Can I designate the image size somewhere and have the column dictate the % width to scale proportionally?

Where did you add

}

??

Unfortunately that fixes the hover but winds up cropping the magazine cover at the same time. Is there a way to force the image to remain in proportion while achieving the same effect with the hover overlay?

While I’m asking… there are a few covers in the archive that need to be split into 2 or 3 versions. Sample March/April vs January/February from our current website (not WordPress): http://www.screencast.com/t/ViL4tFlp

I can get around this by just making more full size covers if necessary, but if you have any suggestions for splitting a single column/issue that would also be helpful.
