Thank you for the help guys. I appreciate it!
Haven’t had any issues so far running it with Newspaper. Been using it for months now. Hope that helps.
Thanks, Catalin.
I just sent the email with all the information you asked.
Erythros,
I believe this is what you’re looking for. This plugin rocks! Took me months to find, but I love it. Wish I had it sooner.
Plugin: Adminimize (it let’s you hide all the unnecessary items for different roles)
Nevermind. I figured it out. Case closed. Is there a way to delete replies and questions?
Simion C.,
I went ahead and followed the instructions, and updated the theme via WordPress to version 7.7. However, when I try and update the WPBakery Visual Composer from 4.12 I get the following message: “Update Failed: Update package not available.”
I see that there is a new version of WPBakery Visual Composer available (version 5.0.1). But when I try and update it, I get the “Update Failed: Update package not available.”
Did I do something wrong trying to update the theme from 7.3?
Thanks, Chris. I will definitely check this out. It will be nice to finally clear out all of those revisions.
Thanks for the information Catalin.
Do you think you guys will add something like this in the future?
Hi Bogdan,
Thanks for your help. I did have another question for you. Is there a way to publish an article and not have it go directly to the homepage?
For example, if I want an article to go under NFL, I’ll choose NFL in the Categories and also tag it NFL. But when I do this, the article also goes to the homepage. Sometimes I don’t want it to go to the homepage. Is there a way to have articles go to the sections (NFL, NBA, etc.) and not have them go to the homepage?
My Website: https://fan-insider.com/
Hopefully, that makes sense.
Best,
Justin
Hi Bogdan,
Thanks for the reply.
When I go to the plugins page this is what I’m seeing: http://content.screencast.com/users/FanInsider/folders/Default/media/ec66bfcd-d932-491d-adf5-b9c83d5c7c9d/Cache.jpg
There isn’t a way to download and install it because it says “Not Available” where the “Install now” icon should be …. “This plugin is not allowed on our system due to performance, security or compatibility concerns.”
This is the problem that I’m having. Thanks!
Bogdan, Thank you. It worked!
Hi guys,
I managed to get my latest article (Team USA dominates Team Europe, wins first Ryder Cup since 2008) on my home page under the Top News section (I’ve mastered that part), however, I don’t want that story in the big grid (ONLY In The Top News Section) and have tired a number of things to get rid of it.
I’m using Big Grid 1 and under filter I’ve typed ‘-‘ (ex: -1269) in the Post ID filter to exclude it, but it’s not working for some reason. Am I missing something? FYI 1269 is the Post ID number.

Hi Andrei,
In Block 16 (CFB News) I switched it to all categories (from college football) and then put the filter by tag slug as CFB News. I then went an added that tag CFB News on those articles that I want to show up in that spot.
However, my latest article is not showing up (http://fan-insider.com/lsu-fires-les-miles-names-ed-orgeron-as-interim-head-coach/) in Block 16. The only difference with this story compared to those that are in Block 16 is that they are listed under the college football category in posts. My article that I want to be there is just listed under news and sports in the posts section. However, when I add the college football category, the article then shows up in the Big Grid section and not in Block 16 like I want it to.
That is the problem I have been having.
Hopefully that makes sense. I look forward to your reply.
nalrolf,
Yes, that’s why I’m trying to add this code so that my website can be verified. I just need some help doing it the first time and after that it shouldn’t be a problem when I add or modify other things moving forward. I understand coding and what it does, I just got to get to that point. Do I just add the code and save the file and that’s it, or are there other steps involved?

Hi Catalin,
Thank for the tip about Notepad Plus. I downloaded it and have been able to open the header PHP file now. My questions now is once I add in the code from Godaddy (between the head tags) is that all I need to do, or is there another step after that?
Best,
Justin
But how do I add the code I need into to the header.php file? Do I have to have Adobe Dreamweaver or some type of software like that, or can I just open it up and paste it in?
I understand what coding is, I just need to be able to get to that point.
Hopefully that makes sense.
Best,
Justin
I believe I have found the header php file… but mine (http://www.screencast.com/t/gjacsLZg) looks different than yours (http://screencast.com/t/79hJsfNzs). Do I need to open it to a specific program?
Best,
Justin
Hi Catalin,
Where do I find the header.php file?
Is that in the Newspaper folder that I downloaded after I bought the theme? If so, I’m not seeing it.
Best,
Justin
Thanks Bogdan. I went in and made the changes. Thank for all your help.
I believe I got this from a plugin called Super Socializer. All the best!
LLu777,
I’m using this social plugin for my website. You can check it out here (http://fan-insider.com/roethlisberger-throws-3-tds-as-steelers-romp-redskins/). Is this what you were looking for?
Best,
Justin
Thanks! I was using Firefox when it wasn’t working but I tried it out in Chrome and everything works. Thanks for the tip. – Justin
Thanks, Bogdan. I’ve been playing around in visual composer and it’s a lot of fun. Thanks for all of your help.
