I am with Siteground hosting and their plugin automates caching on the backend, I think.

So let me summarize: in order to have working links while logged in, I have to disable caching elements. Wouldn’t this slow my site down? I’m not sure I want that.

At the moment I simply use two browsers, one that I am logged into, and another that I am not, to see my changes to the menus and header etc. Seems a much better option than to disable caching elements on my site.

Yes, this happened to me as well.
There used to be ‘header styles’ and ‘footer templates’ that were built in and accessed in the theme panel. I bought 8 licenses of Newspaper and built all of my sites using these styles and templates, but now that I had had to upgrade to v12.x.x because of a malware infection, I find that they are simply not there and the sites look broken. I do not understand why they didn’t simply re-create the original templates in tagdiv-composer when they got rid of WPBakery builder and build them into the theme panel. Instead, I had to scour their cloud templates for similar looking templates and then customize them with tagdiv-composer.

While in the past everything was set and controlled from the theme panel, now with the latest versions you have to set some settings at theme panel and some from tagdiv-composer itself, making things even more confusing and harder to troubleshoot. Also, tagdiv-composer and WPBakery don’t play well together, so I have to switch the WPBakery plugin off when I need to work with tagdiv-composer, which is often because now it is central to everything. 80% of the content of the websites I work with was created with WPBakery, so its not an option to recreate all the content with tagdiv-composer. I did this for a handful of pages and it was too clunky and time consuming, so I gave up.

Hello tagdiv support. I am asking for something specific here please read

I’m having such a hard time removing this malware. My hosting company removed it one time, apparently via editing the database, but it has come back. They have removed it again, but they said it is only a matter of time till the issue re-surfaces.

I am running into many issues; I will mentioned three of them:
(1) Updating my version of Newspaper breaks my site; (2) updating td-composer with a newer version is apparently not possible without updating Newspaper, and (3) I tried running the SQL query mentioned by mmorselli somewhere on these pages and got nothing but errors

I am sure I am speaking for a lot of Newspaper users when I request the following:
(A) A patch, please. If these problems are due to a vulnerability in your plugin, why not release a patch? Perhaps a temporary plugin that just cleans it up?
(B) In the short term, if a patch is not forthcoming, can you please provide a version of td-composer that removes the vulnerability and can be installed on older versions of Newspaper?
(C) If no patch, can you please provide a removal guide FOR DUMMIES with simple to understand steps. Perusing many posts on these forums where people say different things has not worked out for me.

I also have a problem with malware associated with TagDiv Composer
Avira antivirus flagged it (https://i.imgur.com/RUuzOPv.png). Apparently it makes a request to: “https://cdn.statisticscripts.com/stats/step.js”

Sadly they do not offer help with removal

Anyway the first thing I did was to delete my old version of Newspaper and install the new v12, but sadly this broke my site, so I reverted back

Next I deleted tagdiv composer plugin, but was not able to install the new version with the old version of Newspaper that exists on my site. I found an old version of the plugin from 2018 saved locally on my hd and installed it. I thought for a while that this fixed the problem, but it came back.

I am reading and re-reading the posts above, but do not feel any closer to a solution. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes that parent/child relationship is what I mean. I didn’t expect that it would work for you.

Can you do me one more favor? Instead of filtering pages to include in the block by whatever means you are currently using, can you try to filter by individual page ID number and see if the A to Z sorting works for you?

These pages that you have in your image, are they in a page hierarchy?
If not, then you have created a situation different than the one I described to you, and you are comparing oranges and apples.

Is my support expired for all 4 licenses of the theme that I purchased, or just the one I registered with?

My last question: is tagDiv support not curious to uncover a potential bug that the theme might have? Because it seems to me that it might have one, whether or not my support has expired.

I am working on a temporary dev site URL, so I would prefer not to give out a URL publicly. I can private message if you like.

I do not have caching enabled (being a dev site), but anyway I disabled every single plugin except for one: “tagDiv Composer”. I even disabled “WPBakery Page Builder” and all the other plugins that come with the theme.

Next, I went in to edit the page with tagDiv Composer. I am using flex block 1. I made sure that “A to Z Sorting” was selected in the filtering tab; re-selected it again just in case, and made sure to save the page. Here’s a screenshot:

On viewing the site, there is not A to Z sorting. As you can see below, the first item starts with C, the second with L, the third with A, etc.

My guess is that there is an A to Z sorting, but it takes the names of the three levels of pages into consideration. Something like this
some-domain.com/products-hpi/allergies/cerin/
some-domain.com/products-hpi/allergies/loreen/
some-domain.com/products-hpi/cardiovascular-system/azarten
Where
allergies/cerin
allergies/loreen/
cardiovascular-system/azarten
… are actually sorted alphabetically; of course what I need is:
azarten then cerin then loreen

You can easily recreate this as follows:
– Create the following 8 PAGES (not posts) on a clean Newspaper theme:
Items
Items/Allergies
Items/Cardiovascular
Items/Dermatololgy
Items/Allergies/A item
Items/Allergies/Z item
Items/Cardiovascular/C item
Items/Dermatology/B item

Create a page with a block (I am using flex block 1 but had the same problem no matter which block I used)… and ask for A to Z sorting.

See what you get.

My guess is that you will NOT get an alphabetically sorted
A Item
B Item
C Item
Z Item

but rather
A item (Allergies/A item)
Z item (Allergies/Z item)
C item (Cardiovascular/C item)
B item (Dermatology/B item)

I am having the same issue. For some reason I am new seeing popup messages asking me to register the theme, but I will end up changing the URL eventually to the client’s domain name. It seems that the best thing would be to wait, suffer the popup messages, and simply register the theme when the client receives the site. Am I wrong?

Well I am a customer like you not affiliated with Tagdiv, and I had the same question.
Here’s the lowdown:

The short of it: you can use the plugin without access to premium features such as downloading templates from the Revolution Slider site, or auto updates (you can update the plugin via uploading the plugin files that are included with each Newspaper update).

You will have to either use the limited sliders that come with the plugins, create your own, or upload the five or so in the demo_sliders folder from the Newspaper .zip file.

Well I figured this out. Turns out I had to enable visual composer for posts first (from the dashboard sidebar: visual composer, general settings, role manager tab, post types changed to ‘custom’, then check both pages and posts and save).

One the tabs were created with the visual composer, and if you’re interested in knowing what the shortcodes look like, it’s as follows:

I have a realted question. The pagination for my site displays:

Is there a way to change it to, say,
| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | > |

I really don’t care for me readers to go back to page 146, which is 8 years ago when the site was started. The most releveant and useful articles are in the first few pages. Thanks.
