I have had the same Newspaper installation for eight years, every problem mentioned in this post worked fine when I last checked about three mounts ago. I have not done any configurations or changes since that, nor installed any new plugins. Only updated WP, theme and existing plugins.

– From what I know I don´t use Header live search element, if I do I have been doing so for years and the problem whith the search occurd only recently. What I am refering to is the usual magnifying icon on the same row as the menu on desktop, where nothing happens when I click on it.
– The Show Mobile Menu is enabled, and have been so for years. The hamburger is visible on mobile, but nothing happens when it is clicked.
– When I write Interactive World Maps, I mean the plugin named so https://codecanyon.net/item/interactive-world-maps/2874264. Sorry If I was unclear, since it is within the same family I thought it would be understood. Not Google Maps. The maps have worked for me for years, but dont show anymore.

Since I have not changed anything myself, I asumed it one of the plugins causing it all, but as I wrote in my original post I have tried to inactivate them one by one without any luck.

Problem solved; I installed and activated the Standard Pack plugin. Wanted to delete the question, but couldn´t find how to do it.

I activated the Cloud Libary. But as I do not want to change the layout of my post template, page template, tag template and catagory template more than making them wider; I would like to make copys of my existing templates and change the width. I do not want to create totally new templates, starting all over again. Also; I do not know how to recreate my templates. Is it possible to crate copies of the existing templates and only change the width of the content in the single post templates?

Also; will the new templates be applied to all existing blog posts, pages etc?

I really love what the CSS changes above does to my blog, both on desktop and mobile. But after the last WP/theme update something has changed on the desktop; the two columns with pictures next to eachother are no longer the same size of the pictures in the text blog/width. https://www.ladiesabroad.se/2019/04/isla-holbox-mexiko.html, scroll down a bit. (At least I noticed it had changed today, and I did the updates yesterday.)

At the moment I have this CSS pasted into the Costum CSS section:

And this in the Advanced CSS -> iPhone section:

}

I solved the problem above by changing the columns padding to 0 px, and paste this to the phones repsonsive CSS section.

But one last question anyway. The 8 px botton padding works pefect for the image block as well as for the column block. Exept from when the block after is a text block without a heading. The text then comes to close to the picture, both on desktop and mobile. Is this possible to adjust as well?

Thanks a million. The provided CSS totally solved the desktop issue; it looks perfect now.

On my iPhone I still have a larger padding above the two portrait format pictures. Also I have a small extra padding to the right of the first portrait picture, and dito to the left of the second portrait format picture (in the column block).

Are those issues possible to sole as well?

I am not sure if the problem has to do with the translation update (Swedish), but I went to the Translation section tn the theme panel. Opened some options, but did not save anything. Suddenly the feataured images came back on my desktop but not on my mobile device. This is getting more and more suspicipous.

OK, a did the 9.1 update of the test blog, but did not update the slider version. The test blog slider is version 5.3.0.2. All other plugins are updated.

1. My test blog also looks strange, having lost the columns, all blocks content shown under eachother instead of in a grid etc.

I did the 8.7.4 upgrade. Now i am getting an error for both Instagram footer and Social Counter, see below. I have “ladiesabroad” written in the Instagram field both places. From what I understand reading the helptexts in the theme those values shall not be changed.

The Sharing buttons at the end of each blog post has gotten it´s colours back. I still have the above CSS given to me 26/8-16 as I had before, and have not changed anything. I notice more choices have been given to costumize the sharing buttons look, for example doing them all black, but I still prefer having them gray. Can the above CSS be modified to work for the new button options?

I tried the CSS for my Destinations -> Europe sub-meny. I get two columns, but the width is too small to accomodate the name Storbritannien. Also the background sub-sub-meny for Storbritannien -> Scotland and England is getting to small. Is this possible to modify?

Yes, we have several custom CSS. But they are all provided by you and your colleagues; meaning I am not a developer. From googeling I assume media queries are custom CSS as well, so I again ask if you kindly can provide me with the actual code.

If it is done in the theme panel, please advise which section and how to do this.

I think I might was a bit unclear.

If you open the page I sent, you will se it is the page for the sub-category for the country United Arab Emirates, under the main category Asia. Above all blog post belonging to the category United Arab Emirates there are ten black “tabs” showing the other sub-categories belong to the same main-category (Asia), linking to the other sub-category pages. “Tab” number 11 and forward are shown only as a drop-down list. What I am asking for is to have all sub-categories belonging to the same main-category shown on each category page, not only the first ten.

I tried disabling all plugins. It did not help.

I have noticed if I try to create a new page I get the same problem. I do not have the problem on exsiting pages, except from the home page. I have updated the theme to 7.3.

Any other suggestion?

OK, I have updated the theme installing the envato plugin. Q1: Does thos mean I will never have to update the theme manually again? Q2: Where do I find the current version of my theme?

Q3: Where do I find or download the file Newspaper\includes\plugins\js_composer.zip from? Q4: Can I somehowe make Visual Composer update itself automatically? I believe your FAQ says it will be updated with the theme?

You missunderstood my question. I want ALL parent categories to be shown. Not only the parent to the category I have chosen, but the grandparent should be pulled and shown as well.
