Have verified those settings, and the article still does not display the comments field. What do you advise?
It looks like the Single Post Comments field *is* on the Custom Single Post Template, but the comments do not appear in the article. What would be causing this? Thank you.
It is not a custom field, but I’m not sure how to add that field back in to the template. That’s why I posted the question here.
I just noticed that somehow my “Comments” field has been removed from the top-right nave pane in the Single Post Template. Can you help me get that added back?
Thanks,
Ken
No, the post is published. I just confirmed that it is visible. Here is a screenshot with the menu that I’m trying to remove from the single post template.

Also, on the Single Post template (Desktop), I’d like to remove the category navigation at the top. I’m concerned that I’ll accidentally remove it from the Home page main navigation. Thanks.
Hi Anamaria,
For some reason, when clicking on the images in an article, they are not rendering properly in the enlarged mode. See here: https://libertylens.news/articles/elections/2024/10/26/ghosts-in-the-machine-patterns-in-historical-data-call-integrity-of-prior-elections-into-question/
Please advise. Thanks!
Ken
The “Letters Category template” is the one that I don’t want the Author box to show. In the meantime, can you restore the author box as it was? I don’t know what you did to remove it everywhere, and I want to be in place for all of the posts that don’t use the Letters Category template.
No dice… Still seeing the same behavior.
I need the box there for every post type except one template. I don’t want to remove it for most articles.
For some reason, the author block appears in this post:
https://libertylens.news/articles/letters/2024/05/15/dei-division-exclusion-indoctrination-has-no-business-in-k-12-school-districts/
but not this one:
https://libertylens.news/articles/letters/2024/05/10/become-a-precinct-committeeman/
Why did the CSS not remove the first one?
Still seeing the same behavior. (If it makes a difference, I’m using Safari on an iPhone to check this.
How did you remove the Author block? I’d like to know so I can do it in the future. Is there a way to hide it by default on all Letters to the Editor?
The plugin is disabled, but I am still seeing the same issue – a single-character column with the caption.
Here is the where the CPT is: https://app.screencast.com/NLHM6fLZptHIp
Here is the CPT called Letters: https://app.screencast.com/neD21ETQ44oXw
This is where I use it: https://app.screencast.com/HdYs0IqumSaTg
I would like this template to use that Letters CPT: https://app.screencast.com/yKrwrem2fd3eO
Can you capture a video of how this is done so that I can do it for the other categories that will behave similarly?
They are now fitting to the screen, but when I click them on the mobile to zoom in, I get the caption in a one-character column. I want to be able to click the image and be able to pick the image to zoom in and move around to get closeups.
Also, I created a Custom Post Type called “Letters” and I would like it to use this template by default. How do I configure that? (I’d like to do that with a couple of other Custom Post Types as well).
Thanks!
I have created a single template called “Letters to the Editor”. I would like to remove the author block from that template but have been unable to figure out how to do so. Can you help with this?
Hi Anamaria,
There is a problem with the rendering of the images on a mobile phone.
See here: https://app.screencast.com/4FdJ9Nz7Bdxuv . I’d like to see a thumbnail that, when clicked, goes full size, or gives ability to pinch-zoom.
Thanks,
Ken
Thank you.
Also, for some reason the media files in some articles do not show full size when clicked. For example, see the images in this article: https://libertylens.news/articles/elections/2024/05/08/albert-on-the-job-cybercriminals-seize-control-of-a-pennsylvania-countys-network/
How can I make those show full-size when clicked?
These include categories with and without posts…
I have several categories that are generating 404 page errors, but the pages exist and links appear to be directing properly. Can you help with this issue?
For example:
– Economy
– Constitution
– Race
– Energy
– Environment
– Identity
– Law / Justice
– Conspiracy Corner
Can you confirm that my last emails have been received? I sent one this morning and another one the day before yesterday. I don’t know if you’re busy or if they haven’t been received.
Bettina or Anamarie,
I have sent email, but I’m not getting a response. I will send it again today, but I’m also including it here.
1. I’m still a not able to figure out how to remove the space at the top of mobile pages / posts (other than Home page).
2. I’d like to add the “Social icons” element to the top of the sidebar in desktop posts.
3. I’d like to add a little padding around the ad header on the mobile.
If you can send a video rather than screenshots, I’d appreciate it.
Ken
I’d also like to have a video showing where each of these three headers is being edited:
1. Responsive mobile header
2. Home page mobile header
3. Page / post mobile header
I haven’t been able to find these with screenshots.
