There is definitely something wrong and it has something to do with the featured image. I am emailing now to the address you provided.

Gosh, what a reply. First of all, no, your reply is not what the issue is. It is very much a formatting issue. The news pages and home page were not displaying correctly, like they usually do.
So I guess the problem will likely go unsolved.
I’m trying to alert your to a potential issue with one of your products.

I didn’t realise when I paid for the theme 5 years ago that there was a limit to getting help – how ‘old world’. I didn’t really use the support in the first 6 months, except perhaps for familiarisation.
I went to the links you kindly added in your reply and wow, how complicated is it to even buy an extension, so I gave up.
I’ve been a big fan of your brand when I talk to others, but what this all tells me is perhaps it’s time for us to look elsewhere for genuine help.

Sorry, unable to do that, as I went in to each story and manually reloaded the images.

Hi Calin, thanks for you input. The issue we are having is that we have different categories on our site – ie News, Features, People, etc.
For each blog post in these categories, we want to have different advertisers, however, at the moment our advertisers ads are appearing in every post, no matter the category.
We want to be able to offer one client ad spots in posts in one of these categories and another advertiser ad spots in posts in another category. ie client A has their ads running in all News category posts, client B has their ads in all Features category posts.
Is there a way to do this?

CALIN – please please stop offering advice for a fix that doesn’t work.

Your company needs to wake up and fix this super urgently as you are destroying confidence in our brand with this utterly inappropriate screen message about our sites not being genuinely registered with you.

As a journalist, I am now contacting every tech editor I know to explain what Envato has done to thousands of customers’ sites today.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I don’t think I did anything wrong, as I always update things when I receive a message to do that. As an editor I would challenge you that the tech should be better than this. There shouldn’t be so much pressure put on the user. Does an airline expect a passenger to fly a jet?
I seem to have ‘a version’ of my site back now, but what the newspaper update did was to make me lose all my previous settings and look and feel.

It’s becoming quite an ordeal every time we need to update your template it causes us to lose an entire day – in this case more – in productivity, which I don’t see anyone at your company stepping forward to address or offer us some kind of compensation for the endless trouble.
We’re hard working decent people and we love supporting those who make our lives better and easier. At the moment your brand falls way short of that I’m afraid. In the end we will simply just give up and go somewhere else never to return.

Do you know how to get rid of the annoying ‘news’ category tags and reader counters that now appear on every story in my news, features and other sections?

hi there – so when I receive a message in the wordpress Newspaper theme area that says, hey just install the new update here – which I do and then it leaves my site looking like that – why doesn’t it install properly from that command?
I don’t ask for updated versions, but if they are pushed to me, then they should include all.
It tried to roll back to the previous version and even that doesn’t work properly and I now have ‘read counters, and menu boxes in ever story – utter nightmare and this is my livelihood.

I wouldnlt even know where to look for those.

I’m not an expert so the page link you included doesn’t mean anything to me. How does one get that screen in the link up on one’s site? Are you able to provide a breadcrumb trail or instructions to get to it to make the two changes?
