I’m finally finding time to attempt to switch our customized page layouts from using Visual Composer to using Tagdiv Composer. I am having trouble with two components as I try to use Tagdiv Composer: Single Images and Message Boxes. I can’t understand how to replace these items using Tagdiv composer and achieve a similar layout. The images don’t seem to work at all, the settings don’t display any image at all. Can you point me in the right direction on how to replace Single Image and Message Box items using TagDiv Composer?

Hi, I did as you requested. I talked to our web host who confirmed/changed all the settings as your guide outlines. Then I cleared cache and checked again, I still have the same problem. I restarted my computer to be sure, clear cache again, same results.

I will not be able to dedicate time to fixing all our page layouts in the new tagdiv composer for a while. In the meantime, it seems that my Widgetised Sidebar is no longer working, and it provides an important function on our home page, which is now missing/not showing. Can you help with this?

Tons of elements of our (very large) website are built using the WPBakery Visual Composer. Are you saying I must rebuild all those pages with the new tagdiv composer in order for the site to work and render in the future? *sigh*

I’m having one small problem after updating to 8.0 today. I have identified/isolated the problem to be with the tagDiv Composer plugin. When I turn it off, my images look correct. If I turn it back on, several images are showing as the wrong size on the home page and a few other pages. No idea how to fix this. Can you help? I can provide an admin login.

I turned on only the tagdiv plugins and no other plugins and confirmed problem still occurs. Cleared cache repeatedly. Problem is with theme after update.

I just did it AGAIN, however as stated, I have already verified the problem exists after I: turned off all plugins except Visual Composer, went to newspaper base theme (not child) and confirmed that the preview thumbs are incorrectly sized. So I’ve done this twice to confirm the problem is with the theme.

That other plugin causing an error (wordpress social stream) is a purchased plugin and I am investigating with the plugin developer and my host company as it’s not working after the theme update.

I’m pretty upset. The whole website – every image – fit perfectly and looked AMAZING before. Now many of the thumbnails are showing wrong size and looks TERRIBLe – because I tried using the thumbnail regenerator, which made things a lot worse across the entire site. Please help!!! I’m very unhappy and site images looks bad.

Thanks for your reply. That setting is already checked on block 4 (on all blocks) to use thumbs. So that is not the problem. I did not change anything except the theme update and now the thumbnails are rendering wrong size. Would you like a guest login?

To clarify: the password page shows up, but when you enter the correct password, the user gets looped into “wp-pass.php with wp-login.php?action=postpass” in the browser bar and taken nowhere, or simply nothing happens.

Hi, I appreciate your response. I did some testing.

I put the Twenty Fifteen WP theme as active, and I cannot replicate the problem when that theme is on. So the password-protected login page does work with the default theme, and does not work when Newspaper (Child) theme is active currently.

My online research shows that the solution has been solved in the past by editing the functions file of the theme. I understand this may not be the same problem now, however logic indicates the theme seems to be causing the problem, so I still believe I need some help from you.

Thanks for your help. I moved the CSS codes to the style.css file. I cleared my cache and still seeing the same blue header appear before orange. I was wondering if you think it will change after more time has passed, like maybe the cache is not really clear yet…

I did the update today and I’m having quite a few issues after the update.

I’ve completely deleted the theme and child theme folders and made sure the upload is a clean upload of the files to the FTP server, but still seeing errors.

1) The top header initially shows as blue and then changes to the correct color, orange. This never happened before and happens every time I refresh any page.

2) The events pages (http://mauimagazine.net/maui-events/) show a style problem where the text is squeezed and shows a big gap on the right side, making the whole page look long and bad. I have tested deactivating all other plugins and can see the problem is not a conflict among plugins.

3) My customizations to my child theme do not see to be showing properly – custom title tags for events pages generated by The Events Calendar Pro.

4) I tried using the mobile template plugin and it causes a whole bunch of errors. On the new mobile template, none of any page content shows. Just the footer content shows. And the events calendar page does not load any listings and gives this error message: nothing loading: wp booster error: td_module: td_module_mob1($post is not WP_Post

If 2 & 3 require me to get support from the premium plugin, I will go there. Since the theme change caused this problem today, I’m pretty sure it’s the theme code, not the plugin itself.

I already emailed support directly with my license code and login info, but I appreciate a reply or response to this and a followup via email.

2) I am using correct settings using default where the post settings are setup by category and it’s still not working. So now I have to manually select the primary category every time and I have thousands of articles to input… this is very very very very annoying and should work (as you describe) as it did work before the last update… would you think a plugin conflict could cause this type of bug?
