The site Admins probably won’t be back until Monday so I will offer my own experience.
I’m on the December 2016 version and there were no bugs for me, I find most releases now have very few issues compared with say V4 or V6 updates years ago.
I’m doing the latest update tonight and from the change list and other users comments I wouldn’t imagine there will be any issues.
Yes you need VC and it comes with the update (latest version).
Also see thread here https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/remove-theme-login-modal/
If you don’t use logins you can edit this file /wp-content/themes/Newspaper/parts/header/td-login-modal.php the same as user James has done on the google forums.
Hopefully a permanent fix is done next week that won’t need theme mods after each update.
No, that’s not how Google sees your page.
Control U on the page and find “password” or put the url in here and you will see the password fields http://www.browseo.net/
Yeah, this is a big issue. Several people in the Google product forums have Newspaper installed and are getting the same warning email from Google.
Problem is the theme is hiding the password field from view when it should just remove that section from the templates.
It’s going to have to be fixed.
Akismet if you use WordPress comments, or just using Disqus comments will stop spam as well.
Thanks for the feedback, I’m looking at using the Automattic AMP plugin plus Yoast Glue so that is useful feedback.
I’ve noticed a lot of my blogs competitors going to AMP pages in the last few weeks so I want to get it done before Google rolls out an AMP carousel.
No, I get you. Maybe my instructions weren’t clear. Write your post and after your last line or word of the post put the adrotate group code on the next line … i.e like this …
[adrotate group=”5″]
That will insert it in the spot you want between the post content and the theme spot. You don’t need to modify files.

Just put the Adrotate group ad code after the last line of your article. That will insert the ad between the end of your article and the default newspaper EOA spot.
For example …
Last line of your post here
[adrotate group=”5″]
You have to put the full analytics script inside the box, not just the “UA-code”
Lots of users having the same issue, you will have to use FTP to change the theme. FTP instructions here https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
I had the same issue as the OP, you will have to use FTP to change the theme. FTP instructions here https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Something changed after the last wordpress 4.6 update.

It won’t be the number of ads either, Google removed the limit recently.
OP, check your messages from Adsense (Google), should be specified why you didn’t meet criteria.
It’s not the theme or template.
There should be specific items why you application was rejected, fix those and you will be accepted.

If you want to identify the sidebar used on your posts, you need to check the post setting and see if it was altered from the default sidebar: http://screencast.com/t/vRykKTufx
That’s the question. I know how to do it individually, but I want to check 300 posts.
I know what the defaults are, etc, but sometimes when posting those defaults have been overridden.
Questions is how to bulk check 250-300 posts to perhaps get a list of post name or id + sidebar used.
I tried that first and as you say it gives you all the sidebars but not what posts they appear on.
The situation is like this …
300+ posts
7 different sidebars
I want to know all posts where “sidebar #7” exists
Any update on this? Is it scheduled in the next update?
Would be really great to have email share button in similar style to the other buttons.
Opera is a niche browser that has appeal to tech type users and version 12 is very old. Most Opera users update.
To put in perspective for other Newspaper theme users, 5 out of my last 15,000 page visits had a version 12 opera browser. Non issue really.

Is anyone else having this issue again. I have exactly the same issue the OP had.
Every now and then after an image or an ad the space between the subsequent two paragraphs is removed turning it into one block. It’s not all the time though just on some occasions.
The is up to latest release.
Thanks, but not quite what I was after.
What about a ‘theme background image’ but still keep full width footer?
What about the main menu borders within the red box i have marked, how do I get the borders around the main menu item and the coloured block showing which page the user is on?

mc_kot, whoever told you that is important for SEO has no idea. You should not “nofollow” your own social accounts.
You can read more on Moz instead of whoever told you that.
Why does the mobile theme load visual composer resources when mobile theme doesn’t use VC?
I found this as well, not sure why it would need to load on mobile theme?
It works once I added the code in the mobile/header.php template.
Also people, if you are using a Google Tag Manager plugin don’t forget to add the code in as well, otherwise no mobile traffic will show in analytics.
If you’re running the new mobile theme you will also have to place there, mine weren’t working until I found the mobile header sheet and placed code there.
