Hello!

I did that once. Put a modal button and placed the tagDiv table of contents shortcode inside the modal. It looked alright but the the toc links did not work, they did not take me to the respective article section maybe due to different DOMs.

Also, I am not sure if the inner row has any sticky funcionality, only the column and inner column have. And, when you turn on the sticky, the column sticks compared to it’s sibling column next to it in desktop layout. Since the columns on mobile are stacked, they don’t stick.

The only place where sticky works on mobile devices is the sticky header. And I tried placing the table of contents in there but they did not work. You just click the link and nothing happens.

Thank you.

Relevanssi – A Better Search

Integrates well with tagDiv

But now I can’t change the font size, color, etc. To do so, I have to add more code in custom css. The alignment is screwed on my site, don’t know why. So there’s a lot of work.

It would be great to have it in the panel or composer. That’s why I requested it as an integrated feature in the theme for future updates. I don’t urgently need this feature, and it’s not that crucial anyway. Just as an enhancement in UX, and for the aesthetics. I saw it on your website and thought it looked pretty slick. That’s it.

Please see this screen recording(Google Drive).

And don’t forget to read the comment that I made beside the video.

Thanks!

It’s already deactivated. I never activated any extra plugin after updating the theme. The theme still created the courses cpt and related taxonomies.

Hi again,

I am not convinced that this is the right way to deal with this issue. It seems to me more like a hack or a trick fix. Moreover, I am using this taxonomy for all the post types. I think you just assumed that I have this custom taxonomy for a custom post type. Nope. It’s for all post types. Suppose you have actors taxonomy, you would use it both for articles and a custom post type such as movies, etc. Presentation of different post types in different ways in a single module block is ofcourse a problem, but that’s for some other day to talk about.

Despite the doubts and hesitation, I followed your suggestion and entered “post” (default post type) in the post type text box because that’s what I am using my custom taxonomy on. The issue has not gone. You don’t think it’s a bug?

I genuinly think that post type filter has nothing to do with it because posts loop, posts loop 2, and flex loop works perfectly fine without it. Food for thought.

Nevertheless, I am sending an email to contact@tagdiv(.)com with all the details required to troubleshoot the issue.

Thanks

Currently, I only have default post type on my website. Should I just put “post” in the post types text box? And if, in future, I have more than one post types using that taxonomy? Enter multiple post types with commas? These taxonomies are meant to be used on all post types now and in future.

Also, please note that when I click on edit with td composer option from the cloud template for custom taxonomies section, it opens the template with data input from the first custom taxonomy that is present. Please see this video for better understanding. Maybe that’s how it should be, IDK, I just wanted to report it.

Thanks

Hi,

I have captured a screen recording wherein you can see that the posts loop, posts loop 2 and even the flex loop work well with the custom taxonomies but when I use flex loop builder it start showing all the posts as compared to those only that are associated with that taxonomy term. However, for default wordpress core taxonomies like categories and tags it works normal. Please have a look at the video.

Thanks.

Does normal post loop work on custom taxonomies? Have you tried it? Does it only display posts under that particular taxonomy? If it does, then let me tell you that flex loop builder is not working like that. It’s showing all the posts that website has. It should only show posts in that taxonomies but that is not what’s happening. If you’d read my post carefully, you would’ve realized that I was already using flex block builder. But I guess you just skimmed through.

I want to use flex loop filters, for that I have to use flex loop builder and flex loop builder should only display posts that are in the taxonomy that it is used on. But it’s not working. Please help.

Thanks.

You’re saying the overlay effect for image only covers the image while the darken effect covers everything over the image set with absolute position?

Prateek
tagDiv Member

I use mobile theme and the option is set to amp since day 1.

Prateek

Hi,

1.) I thought so, it can’t be a bug. But I can’t understand why did the darken effect appear over the text. Is it because I set the child row to absolute? But it’s still not making sense to me because everything inside the child row appear above the image that is in parent row. And, when I apply darken effect to the image it hides all the child row elements underneath the effect. Surprizingly, it doesn’t occur when I select overlay effect instead of darken. It’s very confusing. I mean if one effect is applied to the image only in parent row, why does the other effect cover the child row elements as well?

2.) If you’ve seen the video I linked, you’d notice when a I set the child row to absolute and apply the darken effect to the image present in parent row, the “row/column/element” for the child row set to absolute, disappears after appearing for a millisecond when I click on it.

I have it already disabled. And even if it was ON it will redirect to the amp as it says “mobile to amp.”

But in my post, I wrote that amp gets redirected to non-amp when I refresh the page. The option you mentioned does the opposite.

And what about the font weight? Is it a bug?

Prateek
tagDiv Member

1.) Can you confirm that there’s actually no setting for this? I could be missing something. And if so, can you please add this in your feature requests/improvement list? I think it’s pretty basic that someone might want to change font color for their amp posts.

2.) Edit: Also, there’s a problem with font weight for author in amp post. In Theme Panel -> Mobile Theme -> Theme Fonts -> Post Elements -> Author, I have set the font weight at 500 but it’s still at default 700 when I check the page. I’ve tried several font weights but it’s fixed at 700. I am able to change other elements’ settings but the authors’ is stuck at default.

Thanks.

Oh! I forgot to mention in the post that this is just a suggestion or feature request. Developers could consider implementing it in the future updates. That’s all.
Thanks.

Actually, my issue is related to the “time ago” date format that you said was working for you, that doesn’t work for me even after I uninstalled all the plugins except tagdiv ones(cloud library, composer, mobile theme). And, I don’t use mobile theme for mobile devices, I only use it for AMP. To display my content on mobile, I just use the reponsive version(common).

Prateek
tagDiv Member

Yeah! Zoho mail plugin was the culprit.
Thank a lot.

Prateek

That is weird. I disabled all the plugins using Health Check plugin and only left Cloud Library, Composer, and Mobile Theme enabled. Tested again, but nothing changed. I currently don’t need to display the “time ago” option on single posts and for modules I am using flex builder(it works for this(curious!)). So the issue doesn’t really bother me much. But I don’t know why it doesn’t work for me.

Can it be due to some server misconfiguration on the backend? Like some missing apache module, php extension, etc?

Prateek

Hi Calin,

Sorry to bother you as I found that it was being caused by a lazy load plugin that I have to lazy load scripts and other elements. It doesn’t work on pre built modules but only custom modules, perhaps due to the differences between markup used to display images (img vs background vs picture etc). I find the tagdiv lazy load to be more robust but this plugin was overriding it with it’s own, so I have disabled it for the time being.

Can you tell me if tagdiv lazy load work on iframes, embeds, etc?

Thanks for your time.

I am using breadcrumbs on both amp and non-amp versions of my website. On non-amp version, I have used breadcrumbs shortcode from TD composer and for the amp, I have switched on the breadcrumbs option in theme panel>mobile settings>breadcrumbs. The breadcrumbs are appearing fine on both the versions. But when I check my pages in Google rich results testing tool, only the non-amp version has the Breadcrumbs Structured data. I am not having issue with displaying the breadcrumbs. The issue is structured data(schema) for the breadcrumbs in the pages.

Also I am not using any plugin to inject breadcrumbs schema in the page, so I assume it’s added by the theme on the desktop/responsive version. I am not completely sure though.

Please help

Can you highlight one instance from my entire conversation with you where I told you that I need an archive template for CPT. I never told you that. I need an archive for CT. CT is custom taxonomy, CPT is custom post type for God’s sake.

This was part of your response word to word:

“Unfortunately, we do not have this type of template: archive templates for custom taxonomies at the moment.”

Bettina, we do have this type of template. we do have archive template for custom taxonomies at this very divine moment. we just can’t edit them. Bettina.
