you need to change the code of the theme for this.

in the td_data_source.php ( http://screencast.com/t/fbocELsI ) the theme calls the worpress WP_Query object. you need to send to this object the fact that you want to extract post that are in 2 categories.

the server your host on has probably post_max_size in php.ini set to a low number, or the admin has installed the suhosin security feature on it, who also limit the post variable number.

there is nothing you can do about this, only to move to another server.

you can test for this if you install the theme on your computer, if it saves then the describe above is the problem.

if the theme panel doesn’t save your changes is because the server your hosting your site have either the max_input_vars in php.ini set to a low value (ex: 200) or the admin has installed on the server the suhosin security feature who also limit the number of post vars.

if you are on a shared server there is nothing you can do about this.
you can do a test, install the theme on your computer and check there.
