Yes, but you are creating a text link for a caption, not the IMAGE!

The whole idea here is to LINK THE IMAGE and you’re NOT doing that in your demonstration above. So THAT doesn’t answer my question.

I already know you can create a TEXT LINK for the caption, but now try to create a link for the IMAGE so when someone clicks on THAT, they are taking to the URL.

Advise.

Further, I tried what you suggested. But when I place a Custom HTML block on the blog post and enter the code you said I should, ALL of the text below the HTML Block becomes hyperlinked. And subsequently, it look stupid and changes the text to the hyperlink color!

That’s definitely NOT a practical solution for anyone using your Theme. Clearly, this is a problem with other Newspaper Theme users and not just me, yet nowhere do you mention this that Links to Images placed on a Page or Post DO NOT WORK.

Looks like I wasted time and money using your Theme. Terrible support to this issue. Like others, you’re just passing the buck!

I just got off the phone with my host support at Hostgator.com. I spoke to a 15-year WordPress Developer. After he spent over 30 minutes with me troubleshooting, he came to the conclusion that the Newspaper Theme has not been updated since July 2021 and that WordPress has had a major update with a lot of features including the block features which he says that the Newspaper Theme 11.2 (which I have installed) does not address.

He further said that the image blocks placed in a blog Post are not working properly to link to a different destination URL because of the current Newspaper Theme version.

Does your development team even know that this is an issue?

Please advise. Obviously, I am a Registered User of this theme but this issue exists and it is NOT happening because of anything in my WordPress setup or hosting.

When you say this is coming from WordPress and not from the Newspaper Theme, what exactly do you mean?

By the way, this occurred when I added a new image AND with images that were already in posts. I recently updated the theme from 8.5 to 11.2. Could that have caused this?

Does that mean I have to do this will all images in my posts?

Remove the image from the actual Post or the actual Media Library?

And then re-add the image back into the Post using the tagDiv Theme’s Editor or using the WordPress editor?

What do you recommend I do? Should I convert over to using a single post template from the Cloud Library? Will this enable me to have my custom ads displayed on ALL of my current and future posts?

To answer your question… YES I have the TagDiv Standard Pack plugin installed and activated.

Further, I have tried to replicate the Health & Fitness demo site like I had it before with some success. But, I can’t seem to get my ads to show up on the right side of my Home Page and my Post Pages.

In my previous version, I had a logo image at the top.

Also, my navigation was different.

And my Home Page of the site had my Featured Posts.

Now on my Posts Page, my ads don’t display on the right.

What am I doing wrong?

Sorry, the pre-built website that I used in my old version was Health & Fitness.

Current new version is version 11.2

So in Posts, do you have to select that option BEFORE you create or add the text block?

Isn’t there a way to set it as the default so it automatically is enabled each time you create a text block?

Calin, I don’t think you understood the question.

It seems to me that you can change the individual words in the theme when you edit a PAGE – see here at the top of my Home Page:

BUT, I don’t see a way you can do that when you want to change the individual words in the theme when you edit a BLOG POST. For POSTS, it only seems you can change the color of the whole Paragraph Block and not individual words of a Paragraph Block – see here:
