I have not found a solution, but I noticed the FB like button – if not iframe – could cause an issue.

Also, if you’re not running responsive ads – 320×50 for mobile – the container will break. Any ads wider than the mobile width will break the container….unlike previous versions of NewsMag.

Above is a visual of the issue. There is no rhyme or reason for it. It’s happening on post pages and other pages, including category pages, but is NOT happening on pages that are used via the “page builder with title.”

I have tried every troubleshooting problem prior to asking. And I’m also noticing this issue on other websites who have recently updated to 3.1

…I haven’t solved it, but I’ve stumbled onto something….

The pages that are chosen as page builder with title as requested unaffected and gave regular mobile width/container.

however, the pages that are chosen as “no title” (default) I believe, along with all posts, ARE affected.

I’m typing from my phone so I couldn’t look I to this any further.

I’m also noticing you’really having the same problem with your mobile container as we are due to the new update…

when you swipe to the right on mobile, your width is not fixed like it should be.I’m currently also having this issue while looking to solve it.

Hi,

and added the rule to the .htaccess file. The links should now be working. You will need to talk to a developer to determine why this is happening. Troubleshooting this issue is outside the scope of out support.

***This is now the second time the .htaccess file has been changed, and I have no idea why, or what that even means to be honest.

What the server told me is it’s probably a plugin or the theme itself doing this.

Any recommendations? ..thoughts? Literally have NO IDEA what this is. I’m learning on the fly with this stuff.

Good point. It’s strange.

I went back to yesterday at 11 AM (server backup) ….as I didn’t lose my Theme Panel settings until maybe 2 or 3 AM today.

Didn’t do the complete database backup though. Just going to re-do the settings.

I’m thinking it has to be the Auto Theme update.

Is 1.7.1 the newest NewsMag update?

Actually I take that back…I have done backups from theme panel…just not in a while. Gonna have to re-do it all.

The more important thing is trying to find out why this has happened.

I was under the impressions auto updates were off.

Do have regular backups.

Did NOT use the backup from the export in theme panel (screwed).

…yup, even home screen now (it was caching just catching up) is now DEFAULT SETTINGS on everything in the Theme Panel.

Why did this happen? Is there anyway to recover my settings from yesterday in the Theme Panel?

Additionally, the comments button is NOT auto scrolling down to my comments on the mobile version.

Is IS working on desktop, but not mobile. For Newspaper theme I would implement the #respond and #comments code to the Disqus plugin to make it work, but now it seems like those don’t matter.

What can I do to make sure the comments logo, or count, allows the reader to auto go to my comments once clicked on?

The menu works FINE on non-post pages, but completely clashes with post pages due to those three plugins: Ultimate Social Deux, Theia Post Slider and Awesome Navigator.

If I cannot get this solved, I’ll need to get those directions back on how to implement UberMenu. It looks like you guys deleted the earlier messages. The issue I’m referring to is the one where when UberMenu is implemented, it creates 2 mobile menus instead of the normal one. ***1 Flyout, and 1 on the Main page under menu bar….ONLY on mobile, under responsive break point.

Okay, if you’re saying the menu is hovering on Google Chrome, then I’m okay. It just has forced me to CLICK to make the dropdown come down on Chrome.

1. I create a page, then add the page ID # into the menu section. (enter the page ID). Yes, I did it exactly the way it was described above. I do have some shortcodes, but no shortcodes pertaining to Ultimate Social Deux, Theia Post Slider and Awesome Navigator (the three that get screwed up).

So to recap, here are the only two things I’m needed resolution on:

1. Why adding pages to the menu (to allow a full dropdown that is NOT a mega menu), messes with other plugins.

Also, after troubleshooting, Google Chrome is NOT HOVER and IS CLICK for the menu. IE and Mozilla is hover.

***I figured it out.

When I attach a PAGE to the MENU (so it shows on the dropdown like I was looking for), that’s when it brings up conflicts to many other plugins.

Ultimate Social Deux, Theia Post Slider and Awesome Navigator all have conflicts when I attach a page to the menu for a dropdown (which is something I definitely need).

You guys might want to look into that conflict. What can be done? As soon as I “UNCONNECTED” the Page ID from the Menu, all the plugins worked fine.

If I can’t use these pages as dropdowns in the menu, then I’m gonna want to move to UberMenu or MegaMenu Plugin. But then that brings me to my original issue of the Mobile Menu duplicating.

Theia Post Slider WAS working fine prior to me starting to use the Visual Composer on POSTS. Once I started using it for posts is when this issue started happening.

I went to settings and took away the ability to use VC for posts (and left it for pages), and it is now still screwed up.

…NOW THEIA POST SLIDER plugin isn’t working for slideshow posts. It was working initially. I haven’t figured out what the cause is.

Have you heard of this happening to others?

2 other things that came to mind…

1. How to change the Twitter EMBED width percentage? In the Newspaper CSS I figured it out. In NewsMag, there is no Twitter specific CSS embed option. Only EMBED, which I already set to 100%, but seeing no change.

2. How to remove the POST and COMMENT count on the Author Page. I love the Author’s Box, but those counts I would like to remove.

…..Also, just noticed the theme takes away the “Gallery Post Type.” Standard and Video is still there, but Gallery is gone, and I usually use Gallery for SlideShow Post Types.

How can I get it back?

How come only 5 of my sub-categories are only showing on the mega menu? Is that the max or is there an option to use more than 5?
