Hi,

The Newsmag theme does not have width options unfortunately. It is one of the main differences between Newspaper and Newsmag. So it won’t be possible to make the Newsmag theme wider. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you!

Hi,

That tip you mentioned is there to avoid having issues like this for example https://prnt.sc/H0JnCk3nWK4f Those sub-categories appear there below the mega menu because the menu item that is set to have mega menu has sub menus https://prnt.sc/wdskV6da4BeQ

The mega menu displays the subcategories of the parent category. I don’t think there is a limit to the levels of sub-categories, or at least not a low limit. I tested it now with 7 levels, for example https://prnt.sc/vig5xAjo9f7E -> https://prnt.sc/CpRiyl8a3E20 and they are all there in the menu https://prnt.sc/fD-NKXW1HzM1 It should not display random categories, only subcategories of the category you set in the mega menu. Or if it doesn’t have any then it will just display posts from that category. Could you provide an example of this issue?

Thank you!

Hi,

We will provide an update this week. Our developer team is working on it now. It will most likely be a full theme update so that everyone will receive a notification to update the theme.

Hi,

The vulnerability is fixed in the composer, and a new theme update will be released soon. It will also include the latest WPBakery version. The update should be released next week.

Thank you!

Hi,

You could hide it with some CSS. Please try this code:

.td-page-title {
visibility: hidden;
}

The code will apply yo the whole website. If you want it just for the homepage, try it like this:

.home .td-page-title {
visibility: hidden;
}

Then the title should be hidden https://prnt.sc/rWkcvFXpM8xa

Hi,

It looks like those images are linked to our live demo. Please check them in the theme panel here -> https://prnt.sc/t7dTNQgRAOai If there are images set there which link to our demo website, please remove them or replace them with your own images.

Thank you!

Hi,

We could also take a closer look. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login for the website, also cPanel or FTP. We will check the issues as well.

Hi,

The theme will create thumbnails from the featured images, and use them in the blocks https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-theme-thumbs/ The thumbnails will be cropped center top, because that is usually the best overall method. Using thumbs is usually recommended, to make sure that all the images have the same size in the blocks.

You could use a different type of block or module. In pages you could use a flex block and adjust the aspect ratio of the module https://prnt.sc/4vypSs4kjGVR or manually adjust the module here https://prnt.sc/H0N_NDp5r9w6

Let me know if I can help.

Thank you!

I will explain more.

If you have a mega menu with sub-categories https://prnt.sc/H-pyzulGmgbo which appears like this on desktop https://prnt.sc/iXKErnU3xMDA on mobile it will automatically display the sub-categories in a drop down menu https://prnt.sc/gHvO45RY9110

A mega-menu without sub-categories – https://prnt.sc/yLaXfZ60Hadq will appear as a simple menu item on mobile.

A page menu will also be displayed as a simple menu item. If you have a menu item that is set to open a page when hovered, it won’t open in on mobile. It will be a simple menu item on mobile.

What kind of mega menu are you using?

Thank you!

Hi,

We are aware of that issue. It happens when using the Firefox browser. The issue will be fixed in the next theme update. I suggest to use a different browser if you want to customize the page with the composer. Please try it.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you!

I will try. But every time I fix the border somewhere, other things break. I must say that I’ve never seen something like this before.

I could just recreate the page in WPBakery in case the borders simply do not work properly in the current homepage. I’ll work on adjusting the coed more, but in case I do not find a solution, I will start rebuilding the homepage in a new page, to see if the same happens there.

Hi,

While on larger devices there is enough room to display a mega menu https://prnt.sc/U_H3fg3efF_q on mobile it will automatically converted to a sub menu https://prnt.sc/ndjEvcLEhShu There is no way to display the same mega menu on mobile unfortunately. Please let us know if you have more questions.

Hi,

I see you did it correctly, exactly like mentioned in their guide https://rankmath.com/kb/filters-hooks-api-developer/

And it seems to work. If I test with a cache checker, for example the homepage is cached https://prnt.sc/Hi5AC1cf2mje And if I check the sitemap if it not cached https://prnt.sc/U9R5HamZpcfx So it seems to have worked. Is the code added in the file now?

Thank you!

Hi,

The error message is not quite fully visible in your screenshot. From what I can tell it seems to look like a recaptcha error perhaps. Contact form 7 has an option to set up recaptcha keys https://prnt.sc/adJLon4-gfAL Do you have keys entered there? Although this should not cause errors, even if the keys are incorrect.

I could take a closer look at it. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website and admin login. I will check as soon as possible.

Thank you!

It seems there are still issues. It is very complicated to add the borders only where there are none, without doubling them. I modified the code again and I think its good now. Please check again.

I made a few more adjustments, please check again. All the border problems and the background problems should be fixed now.

That’s strange. I am checking with an actual Mac now, and it looks good:
Chrome https://prnt.sc/wLunf0wKJCnx
Safari https://prnt.sc/Rxp3w22y7Qed
Unfortunately I don’t know what it looks like that for you. If it would happen for me on the Mac I tested with, then I would inspect the problem. But there nothing to inspect because it looks good. Not sure what to suggest in this case. I can’t see the problem.

Thank you!

Hi,

You mean on a MAC with Safari? I checked with an emulator for MAC https://prnt.sc/jNVv6J0MkU6j The top bar seems to be where it should. I can test with an actual MAC as well, I’ll try to do that as soon as possible.

Thank you!

Hi,

That depends. Would you like to have a grid or block display certain posts? There are 2 choices.

Either use the IDs of the posts and enter them in the block filter here https://prnt.sc/W9q0pBHrHvpe This will make the grid or block display those posts specifically, until the IDs are changed or removed.

Or add the posts you want to make sticky into the theme Featured category https://prnt.sc/CFYiKTiGVI_8 and use the featured sorting for the grid or block https://prnt.sc/oA-JUXQ8MliV Then you can control what posts are displayed depending on what posts you add to the Featured category.

As a note, the option for making sticky posts https://prnt.sc/yONcGq3tEY3o will not work with the theme unfortunately.

Please let me know if you have more questions.

Thank you!

I see. I modified the code, please check again and let me know if it’s alright now.

I investigated and it looks like there is some code from WPBakery which sets a white color for the borders https://prnt.sc/Nu-G2annJeee That code is making the borders invisible https://prnt.sc/XISd25MY804o

I checked a bit but I’m not sure from where this is coming from https://prnt.sc/yejuj-lAihsR So I added some CSS to override it https://prnt.sc/ReAyooEmxqr7 Now the borders should appear correctly. Please check again.

I modified the code for the height of the logo to also include tablet, now it looks fine https://prnt.sc/oVcD3y8s9FtZ

Thank you!

Checking now.

1. There was some padding there and that caused the menu items to appear not centered vertically. I removed that padding and it looks fine now https://prnt.sc/1doWFdOfs8jq

2. The logo on mobile was already looking fine by the time I checked https://prnt.sc/jYinsehWY0dz I see you corrected the problem in the meantime.

3. The logo is first loaded in full size and then resized by the CSS code. To remove that effect or at least reduce it, the CSS code could be loaded faster, in this panel here https://prnt.sc/RAk9j2_ZLHB8 I moved parts of the code there, and now the header doesn’t even jump on refresh/load. It loads much better. Please check it as well.

The Newsmag theme border/grid color is set in the theme panel here https://prnt.sc/XItngKYatH0N But if you are referring to something else, please provide an example.
