You could try this out. Edit the template and select the related articles block. From there, select Categories from related posts type, like this https://prnt.sc/q7flz0 .
What Calin means to say is, if you have created any original content(posts or pages), those won’t be removed. If there is any content(posts or pages) on your site, which came bundled with the existing demo, those would be removed if you install a new demo. No content, that includes posts or pages, that were created by you specifically will be deleted during the process. Also, you could take a backup, if you so wish in the future to rollback to the old theme or previous demo.
Edit the homepage with TD Composer. CLick on the block and you will find settings like these -> https://prnt.sc/q72s95 , select Next Prev ajax .
Hello bangokokesports,
If you need to access those settings in theme panel, you ought to install and have tagDiv Standard Pack enabled. Most of the settings from the theme panel won’t be available when the standard pack plugin is deactivated.
Hello Alex,
It seems there is no option to do it in the mobile theme as of now. The only way to achieve it would be to disable the mobile theme plugin, this will make the theme to become automically responsive for the mobile view. Do try it out.
Hello Calin,
Thank you for your reply. I am an Admin and there are a couple of users in the site, but I was not able to set them individual author template in theme panel because they were not visible. I was able to find the problem. It seems only users on default roles of WordPress are visible in Authors Template panel. Even if I make a clone of a default user role, for example, clone of Editor or Subscriber, and if I assign that role to any user, they are not visible in Author Template panel. The moment I switch them to any default roles as provided by WordPress, the other authors are visible in Author Templates of Theme Panel.
Thank you.
Hello jimvanwyck,
If you click remove, you would be able to see an image upload button, like this -> https://prnt.sc/q5p2a7 . When you press the upload button, you will be taken to the media library, from there you could either upload a new image or add any existing images from the media library.
Hello boyztimes,
I also had the same problem. I was told that I did not have data source, that is why the images do not appear on social sharing. In order to fix that, yoast seo plugin was installed -> https://kb.yoast.com/kb/getting-open-graph-for-your-articles/
After installing yoast seo also, you need to set featured images of less than 300kb, for the image to show in the social sharing of Whatsapp. You could use Photoshop or any plugin to optimize images. Else, you could use this online website to optimize images -> http://www.resizeimage.4u2ges.com/ .
Hello Calin,
Yes, I have seen that zoom effect work on my site, but there is no further zoom which I thought there would be.
Anyways, I have achieved zoom on images using a plugin.
Thank you.
Hello,
Sorry for reopening the thread. I had a doubt. I was going through forum threads and I saw this-> https://prnt.sc/q56lq6 Is this mobile theme? If yes, how to enable those slider grid? And also, what code should I add to the mobile theme editor front page, so that I could view a few posts from each category on the mobile theme?
For example:-
Category 1
Latest post 1
Latest post 1
Category 2
Latest post 1
Latest post 1
Category 3
Latest post 1
Latest post 1
I know that disabling mobile theme would enable responsive theme, but I wanted to use mobile theme because it is super fast.
Eagerly waiting for your reply.
Thank you
Yes, I disabled sitewide modal images using Theme Panel->Post Settings->General Post Settings->General Modal Image(Disable) and tried enabling lightbox from the post. Lightbox effect works but there is no zoom. As you have previously said, the zoom effect was not added in modal image. Would it be added in the next update?
Anyways, I have achieved zoom on images using the plugin “WP Image Zoom”.
Hello mecit,
As Vlad said, you could try different plugins that suits you the best.
For my site, I am currently using Akismet, and the best part is it is free for Personal License. As of now, there is no plugin conflict on my site.
This “Invalid reply from server endpoint error” is really frustrating, and very recently I started facing it. I solved it myself and hence I thought to write a post so that all Newspaper theme users looking on how to solve this “Invalid reply from server endpoint error”, can rectify on their own. It is pretty simple, usually the “Invalid reply from server endpoint error” is caused by insufficient WP_Memory_limit. But in my case, it was a plugin conflict. I disabled all plugins apart from “Tested Plugins”, by the way, tested plugins can be found in Newspaper->Plugins(https://www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=td_theme_support). I tried enabling Untested Plugins one by one and then checking the Cloud Templates->Add New(https://prnt.sc/q4li14). By this testing, I could find the plugin which caused this error. Now the culprit untested plugin was not a new install, but after the recent updates to it, this “Invalid reply from server endpoint error” started throwing up in Cloud Templates. So, that’s how I solved it.
Empty space works. Thank you.
https://prnt.sc/pxazqk I disabled show social icons and follow us has disappeared. But “about us” is still visible on the mobile theme. I went to translations and saw that the “about us” is blank, but yet it is showing.
I tried editing foot with TD composer, but that part of the footer isn’t editable.
Thank you for the email.
Also, How can I add a logo to the mobile theme?
I am using animals pro theme.
I want to edit the mobile theme footer – About us, Follow us and copyright. Here is how it looks https://prnt.sc/pwu2v3 How to edit them?
I have sent an email with example URL and also login details so that you could verify the issue with regards to sharing image.
Thank you.
I am using the Animals Pro Mag theme.
I disabled it but still post views are visible on posts. Here is how it looks – https://prnt.sc/pwaqga
I have enabled sharing but the photo doesn’t show in WhatsApp sharing. I am having same issue as raised by someoone else, link to the topic – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/no-photo-on-whatsapp-for-the-template-animals-magazine/ . I have set this image https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_fitness_pro/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/44.jpg as featured image for one of my post and yet the photo isn’t visible in whatsapp sharing.
I have updated using Envato Market plugin, it was smooth. None of my custom settings got changed. It works perfectly.
P.S. I am also a Newspaper theme customer.
Cool. It works. Thank you.
It worked. Thank you.
Thank you for your help.
